I was going to commit suicide one day, and just as I was going to take my life, God spoke to me in an audible voice from the direction of my ceiling, and said "if you do that you will go straight to hell," I looked up at my ceiling, and I said "if that was you God then you can have my life, because I don't know what to do with myself." Three days later I gave my life to Jesus Christ, that was 39 years ago. I never thought of suicide again.
KKKn50cal ...there is only 1 god. Trust me believe in Jesus. He was a man born without sin and did not lie. If you believe he walked this earth once and was ressurrected on the 3rd day then you must believe everything he said as the Truth! No mohammed...Allah..or Buddah..or reincarnation will save you.
@KKKn50cal well wat do all those (gods) do to the person tht worships them ?? nothing,,, becuz their not a living god an wat dus jesus christ do for us !!!!
@KKKn50cal notice how no one could answer your simple question? Most answers go something like this: I know because I know, because I can feel it in my heart, because my book sounds the best or some other bullshit. Truth is no one knows, its likely that it's all bullshit fairytales.
He didn't... Jesus christ was a messager of the truth... And he got screwed by those who dont like the truth which is pretty much everyone... Jesus only cared about those who suffered at the hands of the dead because we are loved by our lord... But the church used him as a sin dump and the Bible is a story book to control people.
In the Greek manuscripts there were no punctuation (You know, commas, points etc.) Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I̳ ̳a̳m̳ ̳n̳o̳t̳ ̳y̳e̳t̳ ̳a̳s̳c̳e̳n̳d̳e̳d̳ ̳t̳o̳ ̳m̳y̳ ̳F̳a̳t̳h̳e̳r: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. In the light of these texts it is clear (if you understand the way koine greek was written) that the comma in Luk 23:43 was misplaced. In other words, it should have been translated: " 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎, 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝑰 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒆. A simple "mistake" causing huge controversy. Also...:Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that t̳h̳e̳i̳r̳ ̳l̳e̳g̳s̳ ̳m̳i̳g̳h̳t̳ ̳b̳e̳ ̳b̳r̳o̳k̳e̳n̳, and that they might be taken away. The Jews had many bylaws that made the Sabbath a burden. they were not allowed to run around after thieves on the Sabbath. So, according to these texts, Jesus was already dead (therefore they did not have to break his legs) but the criminals crucified with him were still alive (apparently enough so that they would be able to flee). How could the thief the be with Jesus in paradise that same day when Jesus died (at 3'o clock which was the time of the offering) and the thief was still alive...?
How anyone can think that the thief was with Jesus the same day is very strange. Because Jesus WAS DEAD and still in the grave for three days! As mentioned in this thread: the misunderstanding is based on wrong punctuation.
I just lost my soulmate and was in pain and sorrow. I couldn’t stop crying she was way to young to die but this video helps I know my true love is in heaven and is with our Heavenly Father.
DEATH CAME TO ME AT MY HOME AS I LAYED ON MY LIVING ROOM COUCH. IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE?. I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU A DESCRIPTION IN WHAT I WENT THROUGH. I LAYED DOWN THEN INSTANTLY I WAS OUT OF MY BODY MOVING UPWARD INTO THE AIR!. I HAD NO PAIN NO TARING OF MY SOUL FROM MY BODY. IT WAS AS IF DEATH HAD NO WHISLES OR BELLS YOU WERE DEAD!. MY EYES NEVER CLOSED AND I WENT ON INTO GODS RELM. THE ANGEL OF THE LORD GUIDED ME UPWARD. IM A CHRISTIAN. THERE WAS NO STING TO MY DEATH BUT A SWEETNESS ENTERING THE LORDS RELM LIKE WALKING THROUGH A MIRROR. NO PAIN. NO FEAR. NO WEIRD SOUNDS. IT WAS A HEAVENLY SOFT TRANSITION INTO A HEAVENLY SOFT ENTRANCE INTO ETERNITY. MY COMMUNICATION WITH JESUS WAS OF THE MIND. MY CONVERSATION TO JESUS WAS NOT THE USE OF MY MOUTH BUT HE SPEAKING INTO MY MIND. THE MOUTH WAS NOT NEEDED ANYLONGER FOR COMMUNICATION WITH JESUS. IT WAS A INNER MIND SPIRITUAL LANGUAGE WITHOUT ANY EFFORT FROM THE MIND. JESUS COMMUNICATED SPIRITUALLY. I ASKED HIM A QUESTION AND HE KNEW I WASN'T READY TO GO ON WITH HIM YET. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD GIVE ME LIFE AGAIN BUT HE WOULD HEAL ME IN HIS TIMMING ON EARTH. THERE HE SOFTLY ESCORTED ME BACK INSIDE MY HOME AND THERE LAYED MY DEAD BODY AS MY SOUL ENTERED IT AND I BEGAN TO BREATHE. IT WAS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. I CAN TELL YOU? THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE FROM BEING AWAKE FOR LIFE IN CHRIST IS BEING AWAKE INTO A HEAVENLY RELM. NO SLEEP PASSED MY EYES. TWINKLING OF AN EYE DEATH BUT STILL ALIVE IN CHRISTS RELM. I WAS NOT IN THE EARTHS RELM ANY LONGER. IM HERE TO TELL YOU THIS NOW.
I tremendously, dearly and powerfully love JESUS CHRIST with my entire BEING and no matter what i may be facing, I'll always and faithfully choose him alone!
I'm not worried about the after-life, the rapture, the tribulation, or the apocalypse because I have been saved by Jesus Christ and I know I will go directly to Him. Amen. 😇
There was a fantastic true story, a young man was 36 years old, only believed in science no time for God, never believed in God, one day he was diagnosed with a terminal cancer as he was hospitalised his sister and girlfriend visited him regularly he was in good spirits, he was responding well to treatments (if you call chemo a treatment) one day as usual they went back to visit him, suddenly he looked a bit agitated unsettled. When his sister asked what's the matter are you in some pain or something? He said no on a contrary I don't feel any pain, but this guy is standing behind me has been standing there for almost two days now, now his bed was right against the wall, there was no room to slip a thin paper between the wall and his bed, the two girls looked at each other, thinking he might be delirious from the drugs or something, they said there is nobody behind you Stephen. He turned around and looked and said are you seriously thinking that I am hallucinating? There is a tall man dressed ... (gave the description) not moving just standing there and he is still there. The girls asked is he threatening you, is he talking to you? He said No, he is just standing there not saying a word half smiling, when the girls asked the nurses if he had been administered some kind of drugs the nurse replied, not since yesterday. The next day when they arrived at the hospital they were met by the nurse to announce that he passed away in his sleep. Both his girlfriend and sister who also were atheists started to seriously seek God. This is a true story.
Thank you for your Testimony. I believe you 110%, I almost died on the operating table while serving in the Army. I was at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Georgia and it was my 2nd Brain Surgery in 2 years. My duty Station was Fort Benning, Georgia at the time but anyway after the surgeon gave me the anesthesia I was out!. I can't tell you how much Time passed by but I remember floating in a very very dark place I wasn't afraid because I had gave my life to Jesus Christ years before i joined the Military but the year prior to my surgery my wife had a miscarriage at 3 months (and at 3 months you cant tell the sex of a baby that early) well while I was having surgery all I remember was I was floating down and like I said it was dark I couldn't see anything I couldn't feel the pain I was constantly in before my surgery I tried to feel for my body and I couldn't feel my body but I had my conciousness. Next thing I knew a bright bright light came down and in that bright light was a Beautiful ( like no beauty on this Earth) little baby girl who looked as if she was the age of a toddler being brought to me. I held her I laughed and giggled with her and she smiled and giggled at me I then held her over my head I mean I was so happy and I didn't want to leave now because of the bright light I could see her skin color and I could see that she favored me! Then all of a sudden we were both pulled from one another and the next thing I knew I could hear the surgeon saying "Mr Smith......Mr. Smith we almost lost you!. I remember trying to adjust my eyes to the operating room lights and saying to myself "'How dare she tell me I almost died I'm not even in recovery yet! but then a voice in my head said "'Do you know where I took you?" And I said to myself "Omg! I was with my daughter I have to call my wife and mom to tell them and I passed out and a few hours later I woke up in recovery. Now from 2004 til September 2018 I could never forget what happened and for all those years I thought I was taken to Hell only because I don't remember seeing Jesus and like most people claim they saw him and spoke to him I had no memory of that but as I was saying it wasn't until Sept of 2018 that after dropping on my knees and crying out to God to save me because I was tired of living a sinful life (smoking both cigarettes and marijuana, drinking alcohol with my so called friends on the streets chasing women cussing like a sailor) that God led me to the book of Enoch (and a Christian Lady who was in a chat room of people telling how Jesus 🕊 Christ saved their lifes) that I know where my soul was taken when I almost died and it was Abraham's Bossom (Sheol). I've always loved Jesus 🕊 Christ and throughout my teenage and adult years I've always tried to live Holy but always fell short but I would always apologize to God and confess my love to him. I believe because of my heart he spared my life and I use to always pray for the baby my wife miscarried and always wondered what happens to babies when they die. Well all babies go to Shoel but they go to the side that's known as Paradise. God has taken away all the negative sins I use to commit I mean he's taken that "desire" and though I am not perfect (as far as my thoughts) I repent each and every day. I'm sorry my testimony is so long but I want everyone to know the truth!. satan has tried so many times to kill me and I've been attacked by demonic spirits ever since my encounter with the Spirit real. I Thank God that I was given another chance. God Bless Everyone and I have no reason to lie I don't know anyone of you that will read this. By the way after my surgery I went and brought a book called 23 minutes in Hell by Bill Weiss and like i said this was in 2004 so.........🤔. 🙂🙏🏾❤🕊
Apparently Chemo does cause hallucinations so I am not surprised by this. Even if you believed this was some kind of a spirit there would be no reason to think it is anything other than the way it appeared, ie. A man perhaps in a different dimension. I think it is not G-dly to speculate where a specific person ended up given G-ds mercy.
Hawkeye Assassin's thanks for sharing. I still wonder about my own O.O.B.E yet to have revealed a sure understanding. Have u read a small book called 70x7. It’s old yet timeless. It came to my spirit as I read u testimony
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE? -" then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. " Ecclesiastes 12:7 -"The body without the spirit is dead." James 2:26 WHAT IS THE SPIRIT? -" the Lord God formed man from the dust off the earth, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. " Genesis 2:7 -"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:20
@Stefan Urban To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Why do you think so many people have described their souls leaving their body at the moment of death...? Myself included. I testify that this is true.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven... Read the New testament The book of Romans 10:9-10- that if thou shalt confess without mouth the Lord Jesus, and shout believe in thy heart that God has risen him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
That statement is miss quoted. It is what we have always heard and been taught. The scripture you are referring to is 2 Corinthians 5:8 which says...We are confident, I say, and willing RATHER to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. The bible says we don't instantly go to heaven. Daniel 12:2 says..And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 1 Corinthians 15: 51-54..Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, THEN shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Jesus said come unto me all ye that are heavy laden and I will give you rest. When we are waiting upon the return of the Lord after we have died. That is the rest in which he is speaking of. The rest for our souls. Isaiah 14:3...And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
@@cynthiasmith6342 I read from kjv. Not sure if you read from another translation, but that is not what kjv says. I think my orginal response was very informative and thorough. Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. I am taught by God and I am still being learned by God. He is my master and teacher. I feel very safe in trusting in his unfailing word. Have a blessed day.
Dr. Erwin Lutzer, thank you for your explanation! Your some example stories were very helpful to understand! I know what you said is all correct!! Thank you Pastor & God bless you greatly!
I had a near death experience when I was 3 and Jesus never told me anything like what some of the things people told you in this program, all I experienced was being embraced with love and I was floating and happy and I did not want to leave that place but I had too for some reason. Months later I was walking home from church and I saw in the sky what that embrace of love was, it was the arms of Jesus holding me. He did not speak to me nor tell me anything, but he did have me in his arms. I will return one day to that place again. I know that.
I am so glad and blessed that I made that decision to receive Jesus back in 1983. Eventhough it was for fire insurance at that time, I began to learn more of him and grew to learn how much he really loved and continues to love me. I know hell exist and I don't hide that fact when witnessing. But I choose to share his love to those who are not saved, "For it is the goodeness of God that leads men to repentance" But there are times when you have to give it straight and if it takes fire insurance to do it so be it! As long as it leads to salvation and an escape from that awful place. That being said, I would make one minor correction with both panelist; Death will NOT be experienced by all of us: "We will NOT all sleep, but we will all be changed in the moment of a twinkling of an eye" (speaking specifically to the believer) 1st Cor 15:51...Nevertheless, great topic and study by both Brothers!
Yes it's not hard to work out you can't think that because you believe in Jesus and think you can carry on sinin and then of to heaven your wrong you must repent what means turn away sin
I have prayed for my husband, because he grew up Catholic and he never read the Scriptures so he said. He really believes that he will get into Heaven by being a nice and great man. I have shown him Scriptures of John Chapter 3 KJV,but he is not interested in the Scriptures. And,he told me that I should respect his Catholic belief. So I have decided to leave it be and respect his wishes. I want the Father, the Savior and Paradise. Oh well,my husband he is hard headed and he is going to find out the harder way in the After Life. However,it would be too late to repent. Planet Earth🌎was never my home and I am looking forward to Paradise Heaven🌹
@@lastdays3148 you get to heaven by living a moral and virtues life - do only things that Christ will accept and do not do things that He will condemn - do not sin but if you do sin which everybody does, get the sacrament of reconciliation instituted by Christ in which forgive sins committed after baptism and is granted through the priest's absolution to those who with true sorrow confess their sins and promise to not sin again - Christ is merciful and grants us a positive absolution from sin through this sacrament - this is the only positive way to know that you can go to heaven -
Well presented, guys! There is only One Way to the Father, and that is through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And there is salvation in no other. God bless you!
You many not make her, Gary. If people fail to repent of their sins and allow Jesus to save them, they will perish in their sins. Seems some people favor hell over repentance and righteousness. But all souls will be without excuse.@@teenherofilms

@@larlar4477 Begging your pardon , but could you please show me one verse that says we must repent of sins to be saved? I don't think you understand the meaning of repent?
I am a born again, Spirit filled Christian and spiritual sensitive and I know one thing for sure, everyone has a DIFFERENT death and I believe it relates to the life one has lived and your relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
At the end of this video they try to make money off of the gospel when it is free. Read your word trust in Jesus Christ our Lord with all your heart . You will be saved and I'm not charging you for truth.
He said they would send you a four DVD set for a donation of $40.00; it's voluntary. It costs money to make those DVDs plus postage. Do your think they're profiteering? Stop finding alleged fault with Christians. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized, and you will be saved.
@@Wildcat5181 too burn DVD'S and CD's is really inexpensive. You must be one who profits from this kind of thing. Hard to trust when so many make a living peddling God's word. It's free. It doesn't cost us anything to share it. I've given away many bibles without me asking for a gift or charge and some very very nice leather ones.
Job 14 (12-15) So man lieth down, and riseth not: til the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their SLEEP. Paraphrase, hide me in the grave until thy wrath is past, appoint me a set time and remember me. I will wait til my set time. Thou shalt call and I will answer. The righteous dead answers the call in the first resurrection. The second resurrection is a thousand years later. This is the wicked going to the lake of fire. The dead know nothing. Hell means the grave. Giving up the ghost, means the breath. Death is SLEEP.
Thanks for this comment. i think there is a confusion between non believers and the wicked?? I still can’t imagine god sending good people to burn for an eternity in hell. From my understanding, non believers do not receive eternal life...correct? They are just well, dead because Christ is the only way
Unbelievers hate this clip. Unbelievers believe that if they don't believe, they are not accountable. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Every knee will bow to Jesus, to the glory of God. No one will have an excuse, no one. Even come Lord Jesus.
Belief will never change reality the reality is Jesus died for our sins and if we die in our sins we go straight to hell but if we accept christ Jesus while we are living we will be granted the gift of eternal life
Yes, Tinashe. Your belief in your god does not change the reality that we don’t have a fuck’s knowledge of what happens to us when we die and that Jesus probably wasn’t real.
@@loopedchopped Jesus Christ is truly real because he give holy spirit to control our live to live in peace and joy just a true Christian can experience that love of Jesus.
John 11:11 After he said these things, he added: “Lazʹa·rus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him.” Lazarus has died." Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all of their memory is forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in Hades, where you are going. Ecclesiastes 3:19 For there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals; they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit. So man has no superiority over animals, for everything is futile.
He's talking about the body being a sleep not the soul, when he comes back the soul and body will reunite to be with God or those that are acursed will be in hell
Hi Gary; I don't think you actually understood what I meant. Obviously, the poor nut case can't see The Kingdom of God but he seems certain that if only we were born again (whatever that means) we could see The Kingdom. Most born-again Christian are a whirlwind of psychoses searching for certainty. In short, the Emperors New Cloths.
Carlos you can know for sure right now... Read you bible with open eyes..forget all you have heard from preachers and anyone else read your bible anew like for the first time. before you open it, ask the holy spirit for understanding and you will understand it with a right understanding of it.. Ill be going down that tunnel my Dad saw..ill see my Precious Rich and family that are there ! Ill be HOME!! HOME!! I accepted Jesus . I pray and try to live a righteous life . I am SAVED!!!
Believe it or not, hell-fire is real & heaven is real as well..You must get in either one..Remember you can't get there by chance... You choose to go in either of them...Jesus Christ say.." Matthew 11:28 (King James Bible) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Ok God is good I really really love God and Jesus Christ I will try to get rid of my sins if I can't I guess I will go to hell but I don't want to😢😢😢😭😢😭😢😭😢
Do you not realise the King James bible for what it was? A mans interpretation that's all. All his clerics and bishops and theilogions worked on it until he was happy. King James the VI of Scotland who became also King James I of England was also a homosexual. He had lovers in his court. He had a wife but he was only intimate with her to get heirs. Charles I his son started the great Civil War as unlike his father he was Catholic....and there is your so called King James' bible.
@@davidnicks1994 doesn't matter to me as if that's the way God judges people saying to praise him and you'll be ok! Bs. I will be on hell. For loving. For trying to help my fellow person. If that is what your God is like, how is s/he judges on merit to the Christian club. I'd rather not go. Someone once said to me after I got out of Christianity and seeing it for what it is, oh but now you'll go to hell. Yep I will because for a start I'm gay and am in a very loving relationship. If you believe in God you also should believe that God is love. Love is everthing the greatest thing. So if I go to hell for loving... God is not real.
What happens when you give up your last breath and die? You go to the grave. There you stay until you're resurrected. You have no consciousness and know nothing until you're resurrected: ⚫ "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalm 146:4) ⚫ "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5) There are two times of resurrection. The first is when Jesus returns. The apostle Paul described the first resurrection in 1 Thess 4:13-17 and in 1 Cor 15:50-54. This first resurrection is for "the dead is Christ," who "sleep (in the grave) in Jesus". Paul wrote: ⚫ "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17) Those in the first resurrection have eternal life. They will reign right here on earth with Jesus for 1000 years: ⚫ "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Rev 20:6; also see Luke 22:28-30; Matthew 8:11,12; Rev 5:9,10; Isaiah 2:4; Daniel 2:44; Daniel 7:27, eg.) The other, second resurrection - of everyone else left in the grave - comes much later, after the end of Jesus' thousand year rule here on earth: ⚫ "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. . . " (Rev 20:5). Jesus gave this description of the second resurrection: ⚫ "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (Jesus, in John 5:28,29; also see Daniel 12:2) Perhaps you have been taught that people like Abraham, David and Moses have gone to heaven. Not true. Jesus said none of them have gone to heaven: ⚫ "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." (Jesus, in John 3:13) They are still in the grave, awaiting their resurrection. The apostle Peter confirmed this when he spoke about David: ⚫ "Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." (Acts 2:29) ⚫ "For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool." (Acts 2:34,35) Abraham, David, Moses and the others are still in the grave, awaiting their resurrection.
@@elizabethhuggins8524 When we die our consciousness stops, our "thoughts perish." We know nothing and are unaware of the passage of time: "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalm 146:4) "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Many times the Bible refers to death as a "sleep." Those who are dead are "asleep" in death, unaware of what is going on. Jesus referred to Lazarus being asleep - dead - before He resurrected him. In Daniel 12:2 we have this reference to the dead and their resurrection: "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." When the elect who "sleep in Jesus" are resurrected at Jesus' return (as Paul described in 1 Cor 15:50-54 and 1 Thess 4:13-17) their consciousness returns. Then, along with those "which are alive and remain," they rise to meet Christ. Nowhere does it say they meet Christ before then. And they meet Him "in the air," not in heaven: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) For those resurrected it will seem like no time had passed since their last conscious moment at death. Paul understood that after departing in death, the next thing he would know would be that he had been resurrected and was meeting Christ. That's what Paul was referring to when he wrote "For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better" (Philippians 1:23). Upon death the mortal body "returns to his earth": the grave. At Jesus' return the "dead in Christ" are raised with immortal, spirit bodies, like Jesus' body after His resurrection. Paul explained this in 1 Corinthians 15:42-54. Then - _not before then_ - we will rise "to meet the Lord in the air." For those in that resurrection it would seem like they were meeting Christ only a moment after their final moments of mortal consciousness: "Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:6-8) Paul was not a hypocrite (believing he'd go to meet Jesus immediately upon his death) but telling the Thessalonians they'd have to wait for a resurrection before they could meet Christ. No, Paul wrote that he hoped to attain the very same resurrection he told the Thessalonians about: "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead." (Philippians 3:10,11)
Sleep in the Greek means to rest....ie rest in Christ not sleep as sleeping no consciousness. How then does one also explain the martyrs under the alter who ask "how long do we wait" clearly they are awake and verbal. Another example...thief on the cross...today you shall be with me in paradise. I think we shall agree to disagree. There are many more biblical references...one needs to study much deeper checking the Greek and Hebrew taking the bible verses back to the original language. However, thankfully Salvation does not rest on who is correct and not correct on what occurs after death. Blessings to you.
@@elizabethhuggins8524 Agreed, this is not a salvation issue. But you put some points/questions on the table that I can address. ⚫ First, here's a verse clearly showing "sleep" in death, in the grave: "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." (Daniel 12:2) ⚫ Revelation is loaded with figurative statements mixed with literal statements. The martyrs were figuratively pictured as being under the altar to show they had given up their lives, as martyrs. Ashes were under the altar in the original temple; that's what was left after a burnt offering was made. That's why they were figuratively pictured as being under the altar. They had offered their lives. Note that they were told (figuratively) to "rest yet for a little season": they were to remain "asleep" in death a little while longer. ⚫ Neither Jesus nor the thief were in paradise the same day. Jesus was in the tomb for three days and three nights, as He said He would be: "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40) Even after His resurrection three days later He told Mary He had not yet ascended to the Father (John 20:17). In the original texts there was no punctuation as we have today. The commas in Luke 23:43 were added, by later transcribers and translators. The second comma was added in the wrong place, giving the impression Jesus and the thief would be in paradise the same day: "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise" (KJV). Today some Bibles have the second comma in the correct place, removing the suggestion that Jesus and the thief would be in paradise the same day. Here's some examples: "And Jesus said to him, "Truly, I tell you today, you shall be with Me in paradise." (Faithful Version) "And יהושע said to him, “Truly, I say to you today, you shall be with Me in paradise.” (The Scriptures 2009) The following English translation of the Curetonian Syriac text even leaves out the comma in question and still delivers the correct meaning: "Amen, I say to thee to-day that with me thou shalt be in the Garden of Eden." (F. C. Burkitt, "The Curetonian Version of the Four Gospels," Vol. I, Cambridge, 1904) Jesus was in the tomb three days and three nights, just as He said He would be. The thief is still in the grave, waiting for the promised resurrection of the dead.

This reminds me of when a friend of mine and I argued about what being dead meant... ...His explanation was dead simple: "If you stop breathing for over a minute, you are dead" I held my breath for over a minute and said: "RESURRECTION!"

Why do they tell you people are in heaven? A death occurs in a family and people are heard to declare far and wide, this person is now in heaven. Well no where in a Bible does it say that. In fact the Bible screams the opposite as being true yet daily people perpetuate lies to each other whereby they become a part of a seriously flawed belief system. Ecclesiastes 9:5, "For the living know they will die, but the dead know nothing. Psalm 115:17, "It is not the dead who praise Yahweh, those that go down in silence." Psalm 145:4, "When their spirit departs, they return to the ground, on that very day their thoughts perish." Acts 2:29,34, "Brothers I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.. .34 FOR DAVID DID NOT ASCEND TO HEAVEN." John 3:13, "No one has ever gone into Heaven except the one who came from Heaven, the Son of Man."
Humans are scared sheep and desperately want for it to not be over when we die. So people come up with fancy stories to give people hope... but it’s possible to have hope without believing a man written book that is falsely quoted and the words get twisted. Be a good person, don’t do others harm, love the best life you can... Don’t spend your whole life doing what other people tell you to do because let’s face it... These guys also have no freaking clue what happens when you die.
You can't cherry pick scripture to make a point. All scripture must be kept in context if you even remotely hope to understand. who's speaking? who are they speaking to? what are the circumstances surrounding the person speaking and what has prompted them to speak? Its just good bible exegesis. To do otherwise is pretty reckless if you hope to properly interpret what you are quoting to make your point. Any time you pick just one verse out to try and prove a point, 9 times out of 10, you'll get it wrong. Also, spend some time, prayerfully if you want to get it right, researching the biblical difference between paradise and heaven.
Thank you Father for saving my soul so many years ago. I have failed you many times on my journey but I have ask for your forgiveness which I know you will give to me freely because you said you would. I love Jesus Christ my lord and Savior.
That's not quite accurate John. Paul said we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a moment in The twinkling of an eye for the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we that are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds of The air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Thessalonians
And where will Jesus be that day? acts 1 He comes to the earth to rule and those caught up IN THE AIR With Him ( our Atmosphere ) then come here with him Jude Think Those dead in Christ Those alive in Christ leaves no others except those not in Christ. no those in Heaven.as they were still in their graves.
True. The dead in Christ rise from the grave, And we who are alive meet Jesus IN THE AIR with them As He comes here to rule NOT to take them or us if we are still alive to heaven. Heaven comes here. And to those who think they will go to heaven read John 14: 2 -3 2 In My Father’s house are many [a]mansions; if it were not so, [b]I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. WHEN? Right I Thes 4: 14-17 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [a]sleep in Jesus.15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [b]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord IN THE AIR. And thus we shall always be with the Lord and to add to that 2 Corinthians 5:8-10 New King James Version (NKJV)8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. There is no time in the grave. It will be like going to sleep and waking up to be with Christ as he returns.
Jesus is the only way there is no other way jesus said ur judged by what u know so everyone will have the chance to know him end of discussion point blank he said "I am the way the truth an the life noone comes too the father but by me" jesus is the way...
The confusing part about Death is better explained by specifying which human nature is being referred to. Human Beings are composed of Body, Spirit and Soul. When we die, our body is in the grave, while the Soul goes to Hades or Paradise. At the Resurrection, the body and soul are reunited.
John 8 : 12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, "I Am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8 : 34 - 36 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

Ahh the old rich man and lazarus parable(Analogy). Parable are stories used to illustrate an idea, not to be taken literal, unless you believe trees can talk Judges9:8-15. So quickly breaking down this story abraham bosom is not heaven Hebrews 11:8-10,16. People in hell cannot talk to people in heaven Isaiah 65:17,19. The dead are in their graves Job 17:13, John 5:28-29. Men are rewarded at Christ 2nd coming, not at death Rev 22:11-12 The lost are punished at the end of the world, not when they die Matthew 13:40-42.
Can u clarify....to be absent from the body means to be present with the lord...why then does the bible say when jesus returns the dead n christ will rise first.....if they r already n heaven why he have 2 raise them?
naturalpn7 , simple. The Bible says that the Lord will us up to " quicken our mortal bodies" also to " take our vile bodies and make them like unto his glorious body."
Paul doesn’t say that being absent from the body is being present with Christ. That’s a misquotation. He says that while we are in the body we are away from the Lord and that we would rather be away from the body and with the Lord.
Interestingly, the Bible does say that Satan is transformed into an angel of light. However, logically, that would be very much the ceiling of his abilities. It never says that he is transformed into Jesus.
Why doesn’t this man ever bring up the judgement seat of Christ? Not even once? I am very concerned as to why he omitted those words. You lose all credibility when you omitt stuff like that.
No you lose credibility when you teach WRONG doctrine. You teach the 2 greatest commandments. And "worry" about the judgement seat of Christ. OUR sins are paid for IF we are truly saved Colossians 2:13-14 2 Corinthians 5:19. More so, be concerned if people do NOT know how to be saved. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Ephesians 1:13. Peter in Acts spoke to Israel Acts 3:19 Their sins are yet to be blotted out. By the way Matthew-John is for ISRAEL not the church the body of Christ. I too was once deceived and believe as you do. Jesus was the Romans 15:8 minister of the circumcision (JEWS, the LITTLE FLOCK) We are NOT covenant people and have no promises of the fathers. The audience there is Israel. Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 10:5-6 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. Israel fell Romans 11:11 11:25 so NO ONE for 2000 years has needed to go through any of Israel's law/prophecy system we are ALL on equal ground. Galatians 3:28 Colossians 3:11 Paul is our 1 Timothy 1:16 pattern. HIS gospel Romans 16:25 Ephesians 3:2 given by Christ to him for today is what men will be judged by Romans 2:16. They are commandments 1 Corinthians 14:37 I see you are well meaning. It took me and my wife decades and she is a PK to discover the TRUTH "rightly divided" 2 Timothy 2:15 We must study, 2 Timothy 2:15 and know who is speaking to whom and what is being said to get 2 timothy 2:7 "understanding" in where we belong in scripture. @@bobbyfaulkner8596 Hi Bobby. So if our sins are all paid for if we are truly saved, then we can just go on living however we choose right? Since if I am truly saved, then I can never be unsaved since all my sins are paid for, right? If I have correctly interpreted your post, then I believe this is heresy since it sounds like the "Once Saved, Always Saved" doctrine which in my belief is a heresy. What does my message on the 2 greatest commandments have anything to do with the judgement seat of Christ? I don't see the connection. You logic does not make sense to me. And finally, the word "worry" never came out of my mouth and I never once implied anyone to "worry." Please be careful not to take my messages out of context and then make accusations against me based on your misinterpretation. I look forward to having a civil discussion with you. Let's be civil.
SORRY was MY word. CONCERNED yours, look up the definition, same thing. No I'm not shouting just emphasizing words. Anyway, this isn't about a civil conversation with you. You do not believe the Bible. You are a contextual critic and once saved always saved IS scripture and does NOT say anything about you can simply live however you want. Neither did I say anything about that. Unless YOU are one who THINKS they never sin anymore ala Joyce Meyer, YOU and I and EVERYONE does and will. When you do, once you have TRULY trusted in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Ephesians 1:13 says you are sealed. It's done. NOTHING you or I can do. You cannot lose salvation. Notice anywhere in Colossians 2:13-14 where it says our sins are forgiven, nailed to his cross.... until we sin? NO it's not there. Notice in 2 Corinthians 5:19 where he NO LONGER imputes our trespasses .... UNTIL we sin then he does? NO it's NOT there. Stick with your OWN logic I'll stick with the Bible "rightly divided" 2 Timothy 2:15. I wont continue to debate this with you. I see already as I said, you believe scripture that says our sins are forgiven is heresy. Good luck explaining that to Jesus when you face him. He gave that to Paul.@@palmbranchministry519
@@bobbyfaulkner8596 Bobby. Again, I am asking nicely, let's please be civil. If you do not wish to continue this conversation with me, then I understand. Thank you regardless for your reply. Unfortunately I disagree with your entire post. I stand by my position. The Once Saved, Always Saved doctrine is a heresy. Heresy is a sin. We will just have to agree to disagree. Yes you are right, one of us will be judged on that last day for believing in heresy. Like you said, one of us will have to explain to Jesus why we endorsed heresy.
sorry not taking the bait I love that bait though being "civil" as if I'M not. Good ploy. NO I do not compromise, to agree to disagree either. There is hope for you. Do this before another day ends. There may be no tomorrow....
The first lie? Satan told Eve that she surely wouldnt die. Questioning the word of God lead to the fall of man. This is the goal of the enemy. Solomon the wisest man to ever live wrote this about death. "The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, hatred, and envy have perished, never more will they have a share in anything done under the sun. There is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going." Ecclesiastes 9 :5,6 David the father of Solomon wrote this, "The dead do not praise the Lord." Psalm 115:17 Job said, "Man lies down and shows not rise. Till the heavens are no more, they wil not awake not be roused from their SLEEP... His sons come to honor him, and he does not know it, they are brought lie and he does not perceive it." Job 14:12,21
Point # 1: OUR LORD DID NOT TELL THE CROWD ANYTHING WITHOUT USING A PARABLE. Mat. 13:34, 35 "Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables. HE DID NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING WITHOUT USING A PARABLE. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.” Why? “Because the knowledge about the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven has been given…only to those who have eyes and ears to understand.” - Mat. 13: 11, 16 That’s why “they look but do not see; they listen but do not understand” - Mat. 13:13 Point # 2: What about The rich man and Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom? (Luke 16:19-30) If we will literalize this, then, we are compelled to believe that the beggar who died was carried bodily with all his rags and sores to the bosom of Abraham in heaven; which is not a sound belief for Christians. If we will literalize this, the next main question is: “can a drop of water from the finger of Lazarus possibly cool off the rich man’s tongue while in a fiery torment? Never! We can never venture to the idea and say that when both of them died, their souls went to heaven and hell respectively because that is unbiblical. Besides, as we see in this account, there is no mention of their souls. We, then, have no right to make such an addition to God’s Word. God is love. It is a sadistic misrepresentation of this story to say that Lazarus was really in heaven watching someone else being tortured, and hearing him crying out for help. Most people would not be able to tolerate watching someone they hate suffer such a fate, so how would they be able to handle seeing someone they love face that type of torture? Are we more merciful and loving than our Creator? Moreover, the Bible says, “the dead know nothing” (Ecclesiastes 9:5), and they “go down into silence” (Psalm 115:17), so how are they able to carry on a conversation with each other if this is the situation of the dead ones according to the Bible? This parable has no reference to the future reward nor punishment. What Christ was talking about is introduced in Luke 15:2 “the Pharisees and the teachers of the law started grumbling, “This man welcomes outcasts and even eats with them!” Jesus Christ did not deny this charge. To justify His actions, He introduced several parables like: “The Lost Sheep”, “The Lost Coin”, “The Lost Son”, “The Shrewd Manager”, and “The Rich Man and Lazarus”. Why did our Lord give this kind of parable to His disciples? The Hebrews believed that when a person died, he was gathered to his ancestors. This was a comforting thought to the Jewish people, and the Pharisees often boasted about having Abraham as their father. So, when Lord Jesus spoke about Lazarus (meaning God is my help) being gathered into Abraham’s bosom, it would have been understood that Lazarus was gathered to his people. However, the rich man was not gathered to his people, but found himself in torment and regret for the way he lived his life. Lord Jesus was not trying to teach anything at all about death in this passage, but that He was making a very bold statement about rich people who refuse to help those in need. This parable was an extreme exaggeration used to illustrate His point about wealth. The message of this parable is that beggars/poor people will receive mercy, while the selfish receive judgment. The righteous are not literally in Abraham’s bosom, but they are figuratively waiting together with him for the resurrection. At the end of the parable, our Lord makes the statement: “If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets (Bible), they will not be convinced even if someone were to rise from death.” (Luke 16:31) He knew that even His own resurrection would not be enough to convince certain people to believe Him. Point # 3: IT IS A DIABOLIC TEACHING.“You will not surely die.” said the serpent, the Devil. Such teaching is just an echo of all-lies spoken to Eve. In Genesis 3:1-4 “…the woman answered: ‘God told us not to eat the fruit of that tree…if we do, we will die.’ The serpent said: “That’s not true, you will not surely die.” Point # 4: NO ONE HAS ASCENDED TO HEAVEN YET. 1 Thess. 4: 15-17 "on the day the Lord comes…Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will always be with the Lord.” Point # 5: LIFE IMMEDIATELY AFTER DEATH IS NOT BIBLICAL AT ALL. 1 Cor. 15:23 “But each one will be raised in proper order: Christ, first of all; then, at the time of his coming, those who belong to him. " 2 Cor. 4:14 “ Point # 6: IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL WILL OCCUR ONLY ON THE DAY THE LORD COMES. 1 Cor. 15:51-54 “Listen to this secret truth: we shall not all die, but when the last trumpet sounds as quickly as the blinking of an eye…the dead will be raised, never to die again, and we (the living at that time) shall all be changed. For what is mortal must be changed to what is immortal" Point # 7: NOBODY IS WITH THE LORD YET. John 14:2, 3 “…I will come back and take you myself, so that you will be where I am.” Point # 8: ALL THE DEAD AND THE LIVING IN CHRIST WILL ALTOGETHER BE GATHERED TO HIM ON HIS GREAT DAY. Hebrews 11:1-40 “It was faith that made Abel… Enoch… Noah… Abraham… and others, refusing to accept freedom, died under torture in order to be raised to a better life…. Yet they did not receive what God had promised,…His purpose was that only in company with us would they be made perfect. Point # 9: WE STILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THAT DAY TO COME. John 5:28-29 “Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live (the 1st resurrection - Rev. 20: 4-6) and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned - (the 2nd resurrection/2nd death - Rev. 20:14).” Point # 10: IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL IS ONLY FOR THE RIGHTEOUS AND NOT FOR THE WICKED. “The soul that sinneth will surely die” - Ezekiel 18: 20 Point # 11: Who are to rise if the dead ones are already in heaven? John 6:39 “I should raise them all to life on the last day.” Point # 12: IMMORTALITY WILL HAPPEN ONLY AT THE END OF THIS BAD SYSTEM OF THINGS. Job 19: 25-27 “…there is someone in heaven who will come at last (or in the end of this system of things) to my defense. Even after my skin is eaten by disease, although not in this body, I will see God. I will see him with my own eyes and he will not be a stranger.” Point # 13: NOBODY IS IN HEAVEN YET. “No one has ascended into heaven but he who came down from heaven that is the Son of Man who is in heaven.” John 3:13 Point # 14: THE WICKED WILL SURELY WILL DIE. Our God’s Promise: “The Lord Almighty says: ‘On that day when I act, you will overcome the wicked, and they will be like dust under your feet’.” Mal. 4:3
Maybe some atheists do but I can tell you that I have never felt the compulsion or has it even occurred to me to call out to the gods when I am having times of trouble, to me that would be like me calling out to the leprechauns for help. I do not believe in either wishes or curses so why would I try and place a curse on something I do not even believe exists that seems somewhat illogical doesn't it? Or think of it this way when you get toothache do you call out to the tooth fairy for help or curse her? If not why not?
Blind Truth , it is plain that you dont. but from my perspective, people who are so steeped in pain that they cannot see it are way too blind to see anything but their discomfort, disappointment from when they did have faith. Personally, I believe in God, however, I will go out and accomplish all that I need to do without asking him for help: it's one thing to believe in him, it's quite another to ask him for help.

Jesus said we must forgive not 7 times, but 7×70 so how is that a thuggery? How many times would you forgive somebody beating ,raping, and robbing you? Are you forgiving of crimes committed against you? Jesus is forgiving of your lies, evil thoughts and deeds that you do,even murder,if you repent and ask him for forgiveness he throws those sins into the sea of forgetfulness and forgets they ever happened. Jesus is pure love and has been active in my life,I don't follow him blindly I follow him because he has answered specific prayers, and saved my life more than once. The Father Son and Holy Ghost are pure love, and forgives and tolerates more than any earthly parent ever could.
Robin Luich Let’s think about this for a minute !! You can’t pick up sticks on a certain day or u get stoned!! “. . .For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.” Ec 9:5
My heart stopped during a angioplasty operation and was revived by the surgeons using a defibrillator. When my heart started functioning again, the surgeons told me that my heart stopped during the operation - I confirm that a person's soul does not leave him during THE ONE MINUTE his heart stops AS ALL THAT I EXPERIENCED WAS THAT I WAS INTO A VERY DEEP SLEEP! I am a Christian.
Jesus is the saviour and everyone will meet him when they day and he will judge them according to their deeds. All will be judged for their sins! I love Christ beyond measure and he is all we need and have!
The story of the rich man was a parable to explain the truth that, once you die, there is no changing your mind! It was not based on reality. This pastor's theology is based on the first lie ever told...: "Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" Ecc 9:4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Ecc 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. Psa 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. Mar 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. Implies they are still in the grave (hades)
I know there is scripture that speaks of this sleep, but if GOD created us to be living. Then what is the point of this dirt nap? It wouldn't be too difficult for him to place people somewhere conscious while his plan is playing out. Not trying to challenge anyone's interpretation. Just trying to understand.
Turn before u burn. Accept Jesus has your savior. A relationship with him is all that is needed. He loves you. He left heaven to come down to be with us. The Holy spirit is with us.
That is not true, you need to read the New Testament to get proper teaching on this. And if you make statements like that without scripture to back it up what good is it? Read the fifth chapter of 2 Corinthians, Paul will explain it to you. Keep in mind he is speaking to believers. If you are an unbeliever than read Luke's gospel chapter sixteen, verses nineteen to thirty-one. The unbeliever will be in Hades suffering torment the moment he dies. There will be two resurrections, one for the just (believers) and one for the unjust (unbelievers) that one will be for judgment, than the Lake of Fire. John's gospel chapter five and Acts 24:15.
Just read Genesis2:7; Ecles.9:5-6,10; Ecles.12:7; Luke 11. Death is *LIKE* sleeping but Jesus the giver of life will rise up the dead for judgement day. Then and only then, hell will be "turned on," sort to speak, and the angels will separate the 🐑 from the 🐐.
Your Spirit does not sleep. Only the body “sleeps”, or do you believe Jesus was wrong describing the rich man and Lazarus, also Jesus was referring to actual people, what he spoke wasn’t a parable
U are wrong sir. Pple rose frm the dead during the ressuration of Jesus and they were seen by the pple of Jerusalem. Word of God is simple, the story of Lazuras and rich man does not mean anything deeper, it means what everyone can understand, just accept it as it is. If u want to accept Jesus thereby making Father happy but u dnt understand just pray to God in the Name of Jesus, ask Him to send someone across your path so that s/he can explain the gospel of Jesus to u.
kenchu buttercup Luke 16:19 is not a parable. Jesus said there once was a certain rich man, that means Jesus was giving a real life example, and I have a degree in biblical studies so I read my Bible every day, perhaps you should read your Bible more closely
Should I die, you suggest that I am already judged, deciding whether I go to hell or heaven! Why should there then be a resurrection when Jesus returns, if redeemed are already in heaven? Jesus said in chapter 14 of the gospel of John, that He is coming again to fetch me so that I could also be where He is? Would a God of love punish the wicked in fire forever? What about the translation of 'hades' that also means 'grave'? Anyway could you give me a single text in the Bible that talks about an 'immortal soul'? Only God is immortal!
Thank you Lord father God Almighty for the gift of forgiveness and mercy and salvation only through your only begotten son Jesus Christ , his birth , his life, and his ultimate sacrifice of his life , upon that old rugged cross , Jesus Christ our Lord and savior shed his blood for forgiveness of sins,to wash us clean. eccl 9;5-6,10 for the living know they sahall die but the dead know nothing whatever you hands find it too do do it with all your might for there are no knowledge nor strenght in the grave where thou goest
MrMeanmarkcallous well Said ! You have hit on the correct scripture ? These people are misinterpreting the actual meaning of the Bible verses and are not highlighting the truth !
A lot of people dont realize that when Abraham said if one is raised from the dead they wont believe him, I think this may be a prophecy from Abraham about Jesus resurrection and the continued denial by people
I was going to commit suicide one day, and just as I was going to take my life, God spoke to me in an audible voice from the direction of my ceiling, and said "if you do that you will go straight to hell," I looked up at my ceiling, and I said "if that was you God then you can have my life, because I don't know what to do with myself." Three days later I gave my life to Jesus Christ, that was 39 years ago. I never thought of suicide again.
Jesus is my savior and I'm not ashamed to claim him.Amen
No that's cause u weren't completely dead if u were and not born again u would have been in hell

well you cannot just claim Him, we must live our life as what He would have wanted us to do and not do anything that will not be acceptable to Him
Jesus is Satan... repent accept Jahovah and do good works.
Eternity is a long time to be wrong. Please accept Jesus as your saviour while you still can. Don't go to Hell.
Robd collector The Mormon heaven sounds really good. So does the Muslim one. By contrast Christian heaven sounds boring, like being in church forever.
Robd collector Muslim hell is pretty bad.If I was to become religious to avoid hell, that would be one to avoid.
I’m thankful for Jesus Christ dying and rising from the grave for me!!!!!
He didn't do it for good people like you. He did it for evil people like me. So there.
Wasn't white.
David Walker amen, brother! ♡
David, what silliness from a mature man.
While on the cross. Speaking to the thief: Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

In the Greek manuscripts there were no punctuation (You know, commas, points etc.)

Joh 19:32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
Joh 19:33 But when they came to Jesus, a̳n̳d̳ ̳s̳a̳w̳ ̳t̳h̳a̳t̳ ̳h̳e̳ ̳w̳a̳s̳ ̳d̳e̳a̳d̳ ̳a̳l̳r̳e̳a̳d̳y̳,̳ ̳t̳h̳e̳y̳ ̳b̳r̳a̳k̳e̳ ̳n̳o̳t̳ ̳h̳i̳s̳ ̳l̳e̳g̳s̳:̳ ̳
The reason why thy broke their legs if they were still alive was so that they could not run away on the Sabbath.
@@beetlebayley5237 well done. But it doesn't matter... People don't care for the truth unfortunately. Even though the truth is right there to see... 👍
How anyone can think that the thief was with Jesus the same day is very strange. Because Jesus WAS DEAD and still in the grave for three days!
As mentioned in this thread: the misunderstanding is based on wrong punctuation.

🙂🙏🏾❤🕊
yep, that tall man was a demon who came to escort him..
Most people think going to heaven is easy,
Sad truth is only very few go to heaven,
Most will end up in hell .
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE?
-" then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. " Ecclesiastes 12:7
-"The body without the spirit is dead." James 2:26
WHAT IS THE SPIRIT?
-" the Lord God formed man from the dust off the earth, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. " Genesis 2:7
-"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:20
@Stefan Urban
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Why do you think so many people have described their souls leaving their body at the moment of death...? Myself included. I testify that this is true.
Daniel M Connolly they are dreaming and satan is showing them what they believe not what the word of God says.
Absent from body, present with the Lord, Amen,
Ramin shahlie only If you are saved!!!
1 Corinthians 15: 51-54..Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Isaiah 14:3...And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
it is in the Bible

To God be the glory!

@Cheetos Martini oh ok
What happens when you give up your last breath and die? You go to the grave. There you stay
until you're resurrected.
You have no consciousness and know nothing until you're resurrected:
⚫ "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalm
146:4)
⚫ "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any
more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
There are two times of resurrection. The first is when Jesus returns. The apostle Paul described
the first resurrection in 1 Thess 4:13-17 and in 1 Cor 15:50-54. This first resurrection is for "the
dead is Christ," who "sleep (in the grave) in Jesus". Paul wrote:
⚫ "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye
sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God
bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the
coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet
the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)
Those in the first resurrection have eternal life. They will reign right here on earth with Jesus for
1000 years:
⚫ "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no
power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
(Rev 20:6; also see Luke 22:28-30; Matthew 8:11,12; Rev 5:9,10; Isaiah 2:4; Daniel 2:44;
Daniel 7:27, eg.)
The other, second resurrection - of everyone else left in the grave - comes much later, after the
end of Jesus' thousand year rule here on earth:
⚫ "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. . . " (Rev 20:5).
Jesus gave this description of the second resurrection:
⚫ "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his
voice,
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have
done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (Jesus, in John 5:28,29; also see Daniel 12:2)
Perhaps you have been taught that people like Abraham, David and Moses have gone to heaven.
Not true. Jesus said none of them have gone to heaven:
⚫ "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son
of man which is in heaven." (Jesus, in John 3:13)
They are still in the grave, awaiting their resurrection. The apostle Peter confirmed this when he
spoke about David:
⚫ "Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead
and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." (Acts 2:29)
⚫ "For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my
Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Until I make thy foes thy footstool." (Acts 2:34,35)
Abraham, David, Moses and the others are still in the grave, awaiting their resurrection.
Absent from the body present with the Lord
@@elizabethhuggins8524 When we die our consciousness stops, our "thoughts perish." We know nothing and are
unaware of the passage of time:
"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalm
146:4)
"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any
more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
Many times the Bible refers to death as a "sleep." Those who are dead are "asleep" in death,
unaware of what is going on. Jesus referred to Lazarus being asleep - dead - before He
resurrected him. In Daniel 12:2 we have this reference to the dead and their resurrection:
"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt."
When the elect who "sleep in Jesus" are resurrected at Jesus' return (as Paul described in 1 Cor
15:50-54 and 1 Thess 4:13-17) their consciousness returns. Then, along with those "which are
alive and remain," they rise to meet Christ. Nowhere does it say they meet Christ before then.
And they meet Him "in the air," not in heaven:
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to
meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
For those resurrected it will seem like no time had passed since their last conscious moment at
death. Paul understood that after departing in death, the next thing he would know would be
that he had been resurrected and was meeting Christ. That's what Paul was referring to
when he wrote "For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with
Christ; which is far better" (Philippians 1:23).
Upon death the mortal body "returns to his earth": the grave. At Jesus' return the "dead in
Christ" are raised with immortal, spirit bodies, like Jesus' body after His resurrection. Paul
explained this in 1 Corinthians 15:42-54. Then - _not before then_ - we will rise "to meet the
Lord in the air." For those in that resurrection it would seem like they were meeting Christ only
a moment after their final moments of mortal consciousness:
"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are
absent from the Lord:
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with
the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:6-8)
Paul was not a hypocrite (believing he'd go to meet Jesus immediately upon his death) but
telling the Thessalonians they'd have to wait for a resurrection before they could meet Christ.
No, Paul wrote that he hoped to attain the very same resurrection he told the Thessalonians
about:
"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings,
being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of
the dead." (Philippians 3:10,11)
⚫ First, here's a verse clearly showing "sleep" in death, in the grave:
"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt." (Daniel 12:2)
⚫ Revelation is loaded with figurative statements mixed with literal statements.
Jesus was in the tomb for three days and three nights, as He said He would be:
"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40)
Even after His resurrection three days later He told Mary He had not yet ascended to the Father (John 20:17).
In the original texts there was no punctuation as we have today. The commas in Luke 23:43 were added, by later transcribers and translators. The second comma was added in the wrong place, giving the impression Jesus and the thief would be in paradise the same day:
"And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise" (KJV).
Today some Bibles have the second comma in the correct place, removing the suggestion that Jesus and the thief would be in paradise the same day. Here's some examples:
"And Jesus said to him, "Truly, I tell you today, you shall be with Me in paradise." (Faithful Version)
"And יהושע said to him, “Truly, I say to you today, you shall be with Me in paradise.” (The Scriptures 2009)
The following English translation of the Curetonian Syriac text even leaves out the comma in question and still delivers the correct meaning:
"Amen, I say to thee to-day that with me thou shalt be in the Garden of Eden." (F. C. Burkitt, "The Curetonian Version of the Four Gospels," Vol. I, Cambridge, 1904)
Jesus was in the tomb three days and three nights, just as He said He would be. The thief is still in the grave, waiting for the promised resurrection of the dead.
Whatever God wants to happen your soul will be with him
he says we sleep a thousand years until judgement, this person is full of what makes the grass grow green in Texas, the being the brown stuff that hits the whirly thing in the corner of the room
nethy02 I believethat when we die, the spirit goes back to the God who gave it and then our soul sleeps until He comes for His bride. there is no Hades (Peragority) or waiting place.

The confusing part about Death is better explained by specifying which human nature is being referred to. Human Beings are composed of Body, Spirit and Soul. When we die, our body is in the grave, while the Soul goes to Hades or Paradise. At the Resurrection, the body and soul are reunited.
The bible tells us "noone has been to heaven except Jesus". Death will bring "sleep" in the grave until the resurrection .

Can u clarify....to be absent from the body means to be present with the lord...why then does the bible say when jesus returns the dead n christ will rise first.....if they r already n heaven why he have 2 raise them?
The difference is soul and body
naturalpn7 , simple. The Bible says that the Lord will us up to " quicken our mortal bodies" also to " take our vile bodies and make them like unto his glorious body."
naturalpn7 That's the body being resurrected. It joins the soul of the believer in Heaven. The body will be glorified.
T R , very good point.
Peter in Acts spoke to Israel
Acts 3:19 Their sins are yet to be blotted out.
Galatians 3:28 Colossians 3:11
Paul is our 1 Timothy 1:16 pattern. HIS gospel Romans 16:25 Ephesians 3:2 given by Christ to him for today is what men will be judged by Romans 2:16. They are commandments 1 Corinthians 14:37
I see you are well meaning. It took me and my wife decades and she is a PK to discover the TRUTH "rightly divided" 2 Timothy 2:15
We must study, 2 Timothy 2:15 and know who is speaking to whom and what is being said to get 2 timothy 2:7 "understanding" in where we belong in scripture.

I KNOW I will not be judged except found NOT GUILTY MY sins are paid for. Oh and I do note you have plenty of your OWN belief or OPINION but NO scripture to support it. good luck @@palmbranchministry519

Matthew 7 [21] Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. [24] Every one therefore that heareth these my words, and doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock, [25] And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock.
[26] And every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand, [27] And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof.

Wasn't "The Divine Comedy" a satire against the Catholic church? Why bother mentioning it?
The first lie?
Satan told Eve that she surely wouldnt die. Questioning the word of God lead to the fall of man. This is the goal of the enemy.
Solomon the wisest man to ever live wrote this about death.
"The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, hatred, and envy have perished, never more will they have a share in anything done under the sun. There is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going." Ecclesiastes 9 :5,6
David the father of Solomon wrote this,
"The dead do not praise the Lord." Psalm 115:17
Job said,
"Man lies down and shows not rise. Till the heavens are no more, they wil not awake not be roused from their SLEEP... His sons come to honor him, and he does not know it, they are brought lie and he does not perceive it." Job 14:12,21
I was dead for ten minutes and it felt like I never existed
Point # 1:
OUR LORD DID NOT TELL THE CROWD ANYTHING WITHOUT USING A PARABLE.
Mat. 13:34, 35 "Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables. HE DID NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING WITHOUT USING A PARABLE. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”
Why? “Because the knowledge about the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven has been given…only to those who have eyes and ears to understand.” - Mat. 13: 11, 16
That’s why “they look but do not see; they listen but do not understand” - Mat. 13:13
Point # 2: What about The rich man and Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom? (Luke 16:19-30)
If we will literalize this, then, we are compelled to believe that the beggar who died was carried bodily with all his rags and sores to the bosom of Abraham in heaven; which is not a sound belief for Christians.
What Christ was talking about is introduced in Luke 15:2 “the Pharisees and the teachers of the law started grumbling, “This man welcomes outcasts and even eats with them!”
Jesus Christ did not deny this charge.
In Genesis 3:1-4 “…the woman answered: ‘God told us not to eat the fruit of that tree…if we do, we will die.’ The serpent said: “That’s not true, you will not surely die.”
Point # 4: NO ONE HAS ASCENDED TO HEAVEN YET.
1 Thess. 4: 15-17 "on the day the Lord comes…Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will always be with the Lord.”
Point # 5: LIFE IMMEDIATELY AFTER DEATH IS NOT BIBLICAL AT ALL.
1 Cor. 15:23 “But each one will be raised in proper order: Christ, first of all; then, at the time of his coming, those who belong to him.
" 2 Cor. 4:14 “
Point # 6: IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL WILL OCCUR ONLY ON THE DAY THE LORD COMES.
1 Cor. 15:51-54 “Listen to this secret truth: we shall not all die, but when the last trumpet sounds as quickly as the blinking of an eye…the dead will be raised, never to die again, and we (the living at that time) shall all be changed. For what is mortal must be changed to what is immortal"
Point # 7: NOBODY IS WITH THE LORD YET.
John 14:2, 3 “…I will come back and take you myself, so that you will be where I am.”
Point # 8: ALL THE DEAD AND THE LIVING IN CHRIST WILL ALTOGETHER BE GATHERED TO HIM ON HIS GREAT DAY.
Point # 10: IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL IS ONLY FOR THE RIGHTEOUS AND NOT FOR THE WICKED.
“The soul that sinneth will surely die” - Ezekiel 18: 20
Point # 11: Who are to rise if the dead ones are already in heaven?
John 6:39 “I should raise them all to life on the last day.”
Point # 12: IMMORTALITY WILL HAPPEN ONLY AT THE END OF THIS BAD SYSTEM OF THINGS.
Job 19: 25-27 “…there is someone in heaven who will come at last (or in the end of this system of things) to my defense. Even after my skin is eaten by disease, although not in this body, I will see God. I will see him with my own eyes and he will not be a stranger.”
Point # 13: NOBODY IS IN HEAVEN YET.
“No one has ascended into heaven but he who came down from heaven that is the Son of Man who is in heaven.” John 3:13
Point # 14: THE WICKED WILL SURELY WILL DIE.
Our God’s Promise:
“The Lord Almighty says: ‘On that day when I act,
you will overcome the wicked, and
they will be like dust under your feet’.”
Mal.

And I'm way too appreciative of him, and I know too much about him to simply " write him off".

Yes the Bible god is a egotistical thug man invented
People choose their final destination by their behavior and whether or not they turn against or to Jesus Christ.

Jesus's blood of love was poured out for any who chooses to be a follower.
God is just and does not allow evil to go unpunished.
What Jesus said about the rich man and the poor man was definitely a parable...don't know how he missed that.
He didn't. He just distorted the story to fit his interpretation...
“. . .For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.” Ec 9:5
My heart stopped during a angioplasty operation and was revived by the surgeons using a defibrillator. The story of the rich man was a parable to explain the truth that, once you die, there is no changing your mind! It was not based on reality.
This pastor's theology is based on the first lie ever told...: "Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:"
Ecc 9:4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

Nobody knows until it happens. And you do not go straight to heaven, not until the judgement.
Read your bible and be ready for the death. Which will happen to all of Us.

Your wrong.

Well; the answer is simple: we are dead and are not aware of anything at all until the day of resurrection.
