Lomi or Pancit Lomi is a Filipino dish made with a variety of thick fresh egg noodles of about a quarter of an inch in diameter, soaked in lye water to give it more texture. Because of its popularity at least in the eastern part of Batangas, there are as many styles of cooking lomi as there are eateries, panciterias or restaurants offering the dish. *
Pares also known as beef pares, is a term for a serving of Filipino braised beef stew with garlic fried rice, and a bowl of clear soup. It is a popular food particularly associated with specialty roadside diner-style establishments known as Pares Houses (or paresan in Filipino, akin to tapsihan for tapsilog) that specialize in serving these type of meals. In recent years, it had also become a common dish served in small eateries called karinderya or carinderia that serve economical meals for local residents. *

Dude better accept the fact that Filipino cuisine in general does not translate well "gourmet attractive" as its essence is more on flavor rather than aesthetic. Any chefs whether a Filipino or a foreigner cooking and plating a Filipino local dish or a fusion so artistically just comes off as overly pretentious by Filipino locals as they do unnecessary extra on a dish that can stand and speak on its own.
Filipino cuisine in general unfortunately involves a lot of meat
