I have terrible OCD when it comes to my religion. I overthink everything, constantly repeat common duas (such as ones you say before you eat, or before entering the washroom, or after wuduu, etc.) in case I didn’t say it with enough concentration before. I get really worried when I hear the smallest ding or jingle in case that is considered music. I’m trying to learn now that the deen is simple. Allah is merciful. Don’t overthink things, don’t make it harder for yourself. Just do what you can as per the sunnah and Allah inshAllah will accept it. Then again, I think I plainly have OCD 😂 I have not been diagnosed for it yet but I have most of the symptoms. InshAllah I will visit a doctor for it soon. Thank you so much for this video. It is a great reminder for people like me who think they have to overthink everything to make sure it’s halal. P.S. please remove the music in the intro :)
Deen is very simple we are not Angels, we are humans. Even if you forgot something or has done something not permissible ask for forgiveness instead of overthinking. Allah will love you even more.👍
i mean it just makes it more perfect. Allah is happy seeing how you are in awe of him and his commandments. the music thing, definitely do so. Avoid even a single jingle.
I don't think I can compromise with this lesson. I was taught, that if the shop says it is halal but the owner is not a Muslim, I should be cautious or even not eating meat there because those restaurants just use the Halal sign for advertisement. If the meat really wasn't Halal it was my fault for trusting it. If a Muslim would say it is halal but in the end it wasn't, it isn't my fault, because he is a believer of Allah and also has to follow the guidelines of Islam. Also checking the ingredients in the store doesn't really take much time. There are plenty of apps that scan nowadays what the product got and if it is healthy or not. If you already are familiar with the ingredients you should avoid then it will be even easier to find out if the product is alright or not. For example, in Aldi they clear the apple juice with gelatine so the juice looks shinier. Instead of buying this one, you can buy the natural one, which was not filtered. Also, fewer ingredients are sometimes better than all those chemicals and way healthier. but this is what I believe in so I don't want to offend anybody or attack the contents of this video
If we believed something that was halal ,and it turned out not to be then it’s not your fault it’s the fault of the person who said it was and knew it wasn’t
I was just asked from my friends to eat some ice cream today, because of the good weather and I was like hmmm what if the ice cream is contaminated and is not considered halal hmmmm, because of Alkohol flavors that could be used. And now like the first video I see is this hahah.

As a muslim, I have learned so much from this channel. I was always curious about the rules of Islam. From my childhood, I was taught to pray salat according to Hanafi Mazhab. But some of my friends keep telling me that my salat is not right. They told me, "You should not do shizdah like a sitting dog. Pray how our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told us to pray." I dont know whether they're right or wrong. Sadly, I dont have much knowledge to justify. Please give me a video link of your channel that can also help a muslima in praying salat correctly.
Not as simple as this video makes out. With basketball, or sports in general, I think the main question people have is around mixing, covering their awrah, being excessive playing the sport to the point where salah is missed. All of these are very real scenarios in the West. I think the example given of "if you can find a verse saying that playing basketball or any version of it is haram then I'll stop doing it" isn't the point and doesn't address the issues. Food places aren't as simple either, not sure if you can ask the shop owner if they are Muslim and then take their word for it? I remember walking into a chicken shop which had a halal sign on it, and asking where the meat was sourced from. The guy said he just put that up there so he got more Muslim customers. I remember asking the owner of a Chinese restaurant which didn't have a halal sign if the food was halal, she said yes, I asked if the pork was halal, she said "yes yes yes everything halal." So no, if it says halal on the door, don't assume it is. Even explaining to kids is not as simple as "because the Prophet (saws) said so..." is good enough, that will often be followed by another why. Maybe saying that you clean your bum with your left is enough of a deterrent!
Thank you! Wow, I agree with everything you said. This comment was needed to point out the oversimplified and not well-thought out message of this video. Don’t forget there is also difference of opinion!! One may say something is haram and another may say it’s halal. We got to respect that, too, and strive to do what the best the to do according to the reliable research of the Quran and Sunnah.

I agree however in many non-muslim countries like Poland which I come from, you can find alcohol, gelatin or pork fat in products that you would never suspect them to contain it, that's why you need to be careful. And even there is meet with a certificate "halal", how you can say it is really halal if those animals spent all their lifes in too small cages, and they were slaughtered on a belt, yes by knife, but next to each other, seeing what is coming. I don't agree with the points being made here. It is upon us to make sure what we eat is halal. My brother recently attended a dawat at a Muslim friend's house who is a practicing Muslim, and between dinner talks he asked about the meat being served. Turns out it was not halal. See the problem? You need to find out and make sure about it, this is not taking the religion too far or making it hard upon yourself. So what if you spent an extra 2 minutes making sure the ingredients on the back are halal??? The technology present today makes everything convenient. It's more about being lazy at this point than making Islam hard for yourself.
This is a bad practice brother and goes against the respect for the hosts. The people of knowledge says you can’t go to a hosts house and ask them if the meat served is halal, it’s disrespectful and offensive to your Muslim brother, perhaps you should never attend the invitation in the first place if you have even an iota of doubt. Hurting a Muslim’s heart is more harmful.
@@mohamedbilal1524 well I'm not aware of a ayah or hadith that forbids it. As long as the celebration is halal too, no alcohol, israf and such... Plus people are usually happy when someone remembers their birthday and our religion encourages us to offer others gifts.

@@abigase135 then birthday is halal?
@@mohamedbilal1524 well I'm not aware of a ayah or hadith that forbids it. As long as the celebration is halal too, no alcohol, israf and such... Plus people are usually happy when someone remembers their birthday and our religion encourages us to offer others gifts.
@@mohamedbilal1524 I did some research for you and it was confusing, scholars are conflicted on the issue. But as long as you aren't doing anything against Allah's commandments in celebrating a birthday then Islam isn't as complicated as they're making it out to be.
@@abigase135 yes. I also searched on this topic. I met the same conflicts of opinions among scholars because it is not explicitly mentioned in our sources... that is why I needed clarification..
Sorry but Muslims should really take care when they are shopping not never takes 3 hours....one should be always very carefull ....
