A few years ago, I was alone sitting and a huge Hospital cafeteria. I was eating my cajun chicken roll and a group of people came and sat down at my table. A guy sat down across from me and suddenly I was trying not to get ranch dressing all over my face or in my long hair. I could hardly swallow. Finally, I was finished and I wrapped everything up and I casually looked at the guy and said, hi, how's your day going? The guy did not even look up at me. I didn't want to stand up and I was so embarrassed. I just sat there drinking my soda until I got to the bottom and it made that loud slurping sound. Thank God he didn't look up at me then. I started just looking around casually and then I noticed that he had a stack of cards in front of him with words on them. The guy was deaf. I was trying to make small talk with a deaf guy and he wasn't even reading my lips! I decided not to do that ever again until, the next day. I saw a guy with a yamaka and I had some questions. I will be alone until I die. 😁

OMG, the panic I feel when my "crush" feels my stare and makes eye contact with me! I immediately look away, pretending I don't see them.
It's usually the opposite for me. When you feel them staring at you and you try so hard to not look conscious.

I'm an extrovert, but I find introverts really cute and amazing. They have their own world, and getting out from there is hard for them, yet they sometimes do it, and it must take so much power. Also, they are really cute when they're trying to talk to others. I always try to listen to the introverts around me, and help them anyway I can. I'm dating an introvert nerd, and before we got together, I helped him a lot to feel comfortable around me and my friends.

Have a friend that's pretty much like you that helped me out of my shell much back in my more walled up phase. She were pretty much the mom of our friend group, allways the center, have a sixth sense for when people felt left out and were allways ready to include the people around her, and of course she could allways tell when someone needed their space as well so being around her became more natural and i learned how to interact better with other people thanks to that.

I'm the kind of introvert who will be so shy and nervous that they start telling you their life story and various other uncomfortable or weird things without even wanting to say anything, but my exploding heart rate will make thinking impossible. And when you leave, you'll probably see me never again because after all this embarrassment, I'm going to hide forever and my thoughts will always go back to that one day I could've maybe flirted with you but made a complete mess out of it. Doesn't mean I won't stalk you on social media though

Speaking as a similar introvert, you just need more practice. I started with giving random strangers compliments. But you can also just casually remark on the weather, or ask to pet their dogs. The more I practiced on strangers the more comfortable I felt with people who mattered to me in some way.

Here is how it goes for me as an intj. It takes me weeks of planing the first message a lot of posible responses and follow-ups . I plan the end of the conversation so i have a reason to message her the second day and guide the conversation in that direction. I plan days of conversations and topics and how to get to certain topics and all the posible responses and follow-ups. I plan the dating invite from the start. And sometimes after all the planing i end up not messaging at all because of anxiety
Same. As a fellow INTJ, some girls were actually hinting on me but i was too anxious to do anything so i ended up alone until now.
@miele api i never dated anyone ever. I reallt don't know if its fear or insecurity and i struggle to find that answer because i can't do shit without information. I have my explanations ( they are linked to pas trauma) but they al feel like excuses. I am doing a very big mistake by not letting myself have those basic human emotions and stoping myself from liking or getting atached to anyone. But i hope that with time i would find the answers but i feel like the hope is dying. There is a saying in my country "hopes dies last" and i think its about to die

I sometimes spend several minutes standing behind people before they notice me and scream. I just like watching them think. I know I sound like a creep, but I just love people and I forget where I am and I enjoy seeing this person's life from this perfect vantage point.
When I say I love people, I mean like, one at a time, or in a group with a singular focus.
Of course, I love all people as a Christian, but what I meant was that I can't focus well on too many things at once.

That first clip gave me PTSD to when I saw 2 people I’m casually friends with in a parking lot at night and I waved at them really big, and they kind of saw me but I could tell they were confused Bc it was dark and I said out loud. Very loud in said parking lot “I know you” and my mom who i was walking with just looked at me and said “that made the non reciprocated wave more awkward not less”. That was almost a year ago and I straight up had a flashback to that embarrassment, closed my eyes, blushed, and physically cringed while watching this. And I’m only 16 seconds in.

I am not going to lie. This question would make me so uncomfortable and anxious. I would have to think of both sides' view. Then I'd feel pressured to defend my opinion multiple times as they analyze and try to tear it apart, if they disagree.

Omg I remember that episode! Sat down w the kids to watch it because they think Gordon is terrifyingly hilarious and it seemed interesting. Then we suddenly see guinea pigs spit roasting by the fire. I thought the kids would be traumatized because they have 2 guinea pigs. But instead one of them grabbed a guinea pig and plopped in front of the tv to see how it would react. Me as a parent: 😱 What have I done?!?!

I did the staring part on a guy I liked at the time and he did catch me doing it and he stared right back, not coz he was genuine in his liking of me, but coz he realized he found some one he cld exploit for his advantage...he was a narcissist. 35 years ago I approached a college crush, a confident, middle-of-the-action, loud sports jock (what was I thinking?!). Adrenaline pumping, hands visibly shaking, and asked if I could sign the plaster-cast on his broken arm. He said yes, and presented his arm to me in a master/servant way "you may sign my arm peasant". My 'introvert trying to extrovert' servant self took my little felt tip pen (awwww) and nervously began trying to write, and the pen died, and my hands shook, and I tried again, and the pen scratched away doing nothing much, and I felt stupid. Then I suddenly realised, the guy was actually a nob! To him, I was invisible and simply a source of attention. Cured my crush feelings instantly!

I had this crush that I would try to be near and look at as much as I could, but of course subtle enough to not be creepy. I have always had such a hard time speaking to the person I like because I get so nervous. Instead I show it through nice actions, like helping them with something. This crush was the one I got closest to, because one day we would start gazing into each other’s eyes and not immediately look away. I think he liked me too, but we were both introverts, so it’s hard to know.

I'm extrovert, and I had a crush on a really introverted person, and thought he didn't noticed me, but looking back, and by what some people told me, I think he was just like that guy with Sally.
Usualy when someone is looking at me, ofcourse not because they like me but because i just look different from other usual good looking people, i stare back at them 😅 and ofcourse i stare at other people all the time, either because of what they wear or look like or are doing something quite interesting to look at.
