      @@jackshaftoe1715 The Mormon church established the state... in 1869 it became a state, pioneered by the LDS faith... but... Salt Lake City proper voted Democrat in the last election. SL also has the 2nd highest LGBTQ population in the country. Those are contrary to traditional Mormon values and practices. I am not sure the last time you visited Utah, or if you live here. But what you describe is not an accurate depiction of Utah or the Salt Lake area. However, there are pockets... I would not dispute that. And, your concerns are very real. But it is not the same state it was 30 years ago.
