HOW TO APPLY Weathering Effects to an Aircraft/Cómo aplicar efectos de desgaste en aviones

Are you after tips and tricks for weathering aircraft? In today’s new video, Manuel Gil continues with his Tamiya Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien (Tony) aircraft, showing the application of a wide range of weathering effects you can recreate on your own projects!
Throughout the video you will discover how to apply easy and effective techniques such as the application and clean-up of enamel Panel Line Washes and the addition of shading using an Oilbrusher color. Manuel then shows how Oilbrusher colors can be used to simulate dirt and stains, as well as to add volume. Grease, stains, and streaking effects were then stimulated using different Streakingbrusher colors. Manel shares tips for each technique to help keep your weathering realistic.
Matt Shaders were then used to add further weathering to the fuselage. Manuel also shows how the pigment, Metal Slag, can be used to add staining to the armaments. Work continues with pigments, which are used to add a subtle dust effect to the body of the aircraft. Finally subtle splashes were added using a diluted Oilbrusher, before sealing the weathering with varnish.

A lo largo del vídeo descubrirás cómo aplicar técnicas sencillas y efectivas, como la aplicación y limpieza de Panel Line Washes de esmalte y la adición de sombras con un color de Oilbrusher. Manuel muestra cómo se pueden utilizar los colores de Oilbrusher para simular suciedad y manchas, así como añadir volumen. A continuación, se colocaron los efectos de grasa, manchas y vetas con diferentes colores de Streakingbrusher. Manel comparte consejos para cada técnica para ayudar a mantener el realismo del envejecimiento.

I would have been tempted to flock the bevelled area in the top liner and the flat in the bottom tray to hide the joins and the material difference.
