I think a lot of people wouldn't consider A Clockwork Orange "perfect," because of how grisly it is, but I consider it just as possible to perfect like this movie. Both are visionary and story genius works.
You should see the house he lived in in new york city in a documentary about him..just a perfect blend if Art, hominess, family living space and amazing design..light, convenience. Maybe he will get you into architecture too..lol
My cousin recommended me to see this film...man...did this film ( and the music ) haunted me for days after watching it. What a pity Kubrick died so early...i wanted to see at least ten more of his films ! ! Great director.
Truly Kubrick's underrated masterpiece, and his most human film. It is just as epic as 2001 whilst provoking stronger feelings. How it's taken me so long to see this I will always regret! Exceeds all expectations
@@testing1sim maybe not underrated, but while discovering Kubrick, Lyndon did not seem to have the same fame or legacy as 2001 or the Shining, even Dr Strangelove. But I am a young man who was not alive during Kubrick film release so it could just be my experience
i feel so happy to see so many people from different countries with all the same opinions about kubrick. 16 year old boy from portugal right here, loved all of his movies that i've seen so far, this masterpiece on this video, 2001, eyes wide shut, clockwork orange, full metal jacket, shining, paths of glory. amazing genius
there are beautiful sounds, but this... is more than that, so delightful, exquisite... definitly kubrick has very good taste in music for his soundtracks.
Mr. Kubrick was the greatest at choosing music for his films, music that had been overlooked or wasn't that popular (with exceptions like Beethoven, Strauss and pop music) and he presented its beauty to everyone. His contribution to the understanding of humanity, its folly and its achievements is tremendous. Pure love for him and his artistry
all was shot under natural light incuding candles for nights scenes, all soundtrack was clasical & delightful, actors were great playing, this movie 's got story & gloom, ty good old fashion
What Kubrick has achieved through his choice of music for this story, I hope to do with mine. The novel, Soothing The Savage Beat, by E. Augustine, tells of a future dystopian world where beautiful music of the past is forgotten. But its re-discovery offers hope to the world in its rebirth, where sanity may also be restored through meaningful, enriching music. The world is mad now. It needs therapy and hope. Beautiful music offers both. Our future will desperately need it. My story is easy to imagine. So is the future. No matter our outcome however, music will be there.
Barry Lyndon vinse due oscar: per la migliore scenografia e per i migliori costumi , almeno cosi dice wikipedia .. Detto questo gli oscar sono sempre stati molto truccati
I just can not decide which is better if this or that of The Hunger... Barry Lyndon is more sweet and melancholic, but the other is just as special, almost sensual. Among other things, two wonderful films each in their own way.
Who gives a shit if it was or wasn't popular I meant to say what a fucking badass at scoring his films (Wendy Carlos was one of the few that collaborated and created Original music for his films, another genius) The OG!
yeah I know the movie has this composition, I was just wodering if it was written on purpose for the film, or if it existed already and was just used in it
Probably the greatest score in all of Kubricks movies.
i agree with you
How about A Clockwork Orange's theme?
I think a lot of people wouldn't consider A Clockwork Orange "perfect," because of how grisly it is, but I consider it just as possible to perfect like this movie. Both are visionary and story genius works.
Bill Kilgore I love that score too Bill but I still believe this is the best
The Fly Bottle **cough** 2001
"It was in the reign of King George that the aforementioned lived and quarreled. Rich or poor, handsome or ugly, they are all equal now."
Kubrick made me discover two of my dearest passions, cinema and romantic music.
Fine passions.
roaaaar Indeed!

Sarabande up next, bitches!
I never forget the eyes of Lady Lyndon, while she signed the loan of 500 guineas to Barry.
Great observation

Lord Bullingdon looks like he could be her husband in that scene 😂
I saw this wonderful movie today and noticed the same.

I just watched this movie last week and it's been playing on repeat in my head ever since..
Truly Kubrick's underrated masterpiece, and his most human film. It is just as epic as 2001 whilst provoking stronger feelings. How it's taken me so long to see this I will always regret! Exceeds all expectations
100% this is by far his greatest accomplishment
who says it's underrated? how do u measure?

Barry lyndon made me fall into classic music
You can see where Martin Scorsese was influenced by Kubrick's marriage of music and images and editing.
True, but Martin Scorsese would like a word…
This is my favourite classical piece from the movie.
Me too

Truly an amazing piece of music from an under rated classic, one of my favorite Stanley Kubrick films and score.
Sublime film, sublime musique, merci Monsieur Kubrick
Un bagno musicale una festa per gli occhi l anima lo spirito un film meraviglioso il suo migliore veduto moltissime volte mi 😂🎉😢😢😢😮😮😮😮😅😅😅😅😊😊😊
I literally began weeping in the theater at this, in 2018. And I'm not even mental.
An appropriate response
always funny how a different class of video results in an equally different class of well mannered and pleased comments :)
As a man of good behavior and wealth personality, i am pleased to agree with you.
blabla tv well put, leave the politics, and indifference at the door, just enjoy the human condition.
shut up!!
Stanley Kubrick, just the best director of the 20th century !!! Barry Lyndon is one of the less difficult to understand , but so beautiful
La pieza se llama: Opus 100, Piano trio e-minor (segunda parte). Es de compositor aleman, Schubert.
The first time I watched Barry Lyndon I was tripping on acid. This soundtrack is burned into my mind.
@robert graves Definitely an experience. The movie ended and I just kept staring at the screen like “What did I just watch?”
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Kubrick was the equal to beethoven but in film history. Just Barry Lyndon, Clockwork orange and 2001 alone prooves it.
Stanley Kubrick was a true genius!!
Great movie, great soundtrack.
That music, man ! That piano, that violin ! The years of the lords and ladies... I miss it so much !
I was in college when this film was released and it was extremely popular on campus.

Самая большая удача Кубрика - это выбор Шуберта и Генделя. И приглашение Леонарда Розенмана для аранжировок.
