One thing I know for sure....attorneys on both sides are making lots and lots of $$$ per hour! The longer this litigious dispute continues....the larger their bank account gets!
“Arrested”, “Detained” or “Seized”? In the case of PHI, the yacht was “detained” under regulation 57C(2)(d) of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 as the yacht was “owned, controlled, chartered or operated by a person connected with Russia” (all terms defined in the regulations). You mentioned serving on yachts that were “arrested” for “not paying the bills”. This is likely an arrest under the "International Convention for the unification of certain rules relating to the Arrest of Sea-ging Ships 1952”. This applies when the ship incurs a debt that can be enforced by a maritime claim or a maritime lien. These actions are pursued “in rem”. That is, the claim or lien is enforced on the ship itself not against the owner. “Seized” is seized. “You’re my ship now!”.
Love your channel and Happy Holidays from NYC. The only thing I feel bad for is the Yacht. This is a work of art and it's not her fault that she was owned by some A-Hole. She should be set free and allow someone to take care of her properly. Auction her off for goodness sacks....just stop having her sit there....rotting away. Too sad to watch. - Cheers Everyone and Happy Happy during this festive time of year. ♥🕊♥🕊♥
Ok, I admit I'm posting in the middle of the video. But.... this has so far been identical to a video a day or two ago, and this posted an hour ago. Whats up with that?
This channel contains each story individually, which were originally shown in a longer, multi-item format on TheYachtReport channel. He does this for people who are interested only in certain sections, or who want shorter reports.
Hey there, loving the channel, found you after the Bayesian sunk. However, if you keep playing parts of the same video you've already shown I'll have to unsubscribe as TH-cam keep suggesting, I start watching then a few mins in I realise I've already seen it.

@@matteframe If it's due to salt water then all superyachts have the same problem whether they are used or not. I guess if you can afford a superyacht then you can afford the high maintenance.
@@TenthCrane2788 yes, all superyachts will degrade in a marine environment if you don't maintain them, whether they are being used or not. You could put the boat into dry storage and not have the same maintenance considerations. This is because, as I stated, salt water.

haha "dilapidated" meanwhile putin's yacht gets cosmetic surgery and outdoor exercise with a guard. it's good to be the king (or the king's yacht) could they have at least offered the unsanctioned rich guy to have his ship maintained for a fee? if he's really rich he might prefer that option..
I've said before and I'll say again, there are different sanctions, and this is almost certainly under the sanctions against Russia as a whole, which include ALL contracts, essentially because one side of a contract pays for the other, regardless of the exact nature of the "consideration", to use the legal term, whether monetary, barter, or services. All are forbidden. Sorry if she's becoming a wreck, don't start wars.
You can't blame every Russian for the war. There are many Russians living in England. They still get to go to the supermarket and buy food Live their lives.
so much bad information.. First of all yachts like this do not come in every winter for work. Second this yacht was likely 300-400 million not 38 million. With your simple facts wrong who would believe anything you have to say.
@@fluffyfour really dude you think that boat cost 38 million pounds......its well over 300 million. Royal Huisman builds the best yachts in the world right up there with Feadship. some of their 5-10 year old sailboats sell for 40-50 million.
someone with multiple super yachts can easily afford any amount of needed repairs. Plus one has to consider what amount of human suffering paid for such an extravagance. Comparing this in any way to an incarcerated human being needing medical attention is an insult to humanity. playing with boats cost money, people know that going in. I'm not crying for the guy. I feel for the oppression of people by Russia that caused this guy to be so ostentatiously rich. I guess I'm just grumpy because I wasted my time listening to stuff already reported here.

Interestingly designed bow, I wonder if she could handle rough seas ?
Phi looks a lot like a Palmer Johnson
Deja-vu! Love your channel but why do you slice previously posted videos and serve it up in small bites? It's repetitive.
This is his clips channel for people who want their super yacht news in bite size pieces.
It’s a copy. Ignore

These vessels are better used ,than laying in a poor climates, for all the seasons to weather them.
