@@michaelmyers3892 Would that be the American taxpayer, like you and me? The vast majority of these cabins are on government land and maintained by volunteers.
@@George_Lewis I think this cabin is on private land which is pretty rare considering where it's at but I am not 100% sure on that but I know it's a beautiful cabin inside and out but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there for a while
@@michaelmyers3892 If so, then I stand corrected. Fortunately, many of these old cabins throughout Nevada are maintained by volunteers and provide a nice place for a short getaway from the rat race.
I'm not a miner, I'm a parch sitter. I worship shade. I could sit on that thar parch fer hours. What a nice view in every direction. These are some of the things I love most about the high desert; man's attempts to live in and with it. Thanks for your neat little vid.
Yeah it's like every time my father thought about moving to the desert after he retired be realized at his age now at 72 he couldn't handle that heat winter be nice mild but summer time roll around different story.
You do, though not in the desert of course. Recently saw a video of a cabin in the mountains of Germany. It had a heavily-built shed for a bear trap. Cool.
Great short video. Is this located in the Death Valley area? Possibly you could do some more of this type of video. Still do the mine explorations. Like your videos
I don't know if anybody looked up how this elderly gentleman passed away but it's terrible. . Jake Samland, 77, died on Aug. 17 in a fiery crash on the 15 Freeway in the middle of the desert. .They said he was burned so bad that there was no teeth," said Steve Samland, the victim's son. "He had two broken wrists when he was younger, and they say his hands had burned off and there were no wrists left."
For your sakes be mindful in the jakes, because when you sit down and you realize you are sharing it with the snakes which may cause you to jump, tremble and get the shakes.
Leaving some spare bottles of water and canned food in these places is genius! Might save some poor lost person from becoming a statistic if they stumbled into it before the desert claimed them.
I really enjoyed the old cabin. Thank you..
I’ve been to all of those cabins. Brigg’s is the very best of them.
Thank You.
Thanks for sharing. Wonderhussy and some friends stayed at this cabin three years ago.
Yep n she knows the owner to

Seems like a nice place to get away to. Primitive vacation.

Thanks for your work! 😊
i always want to explore such abandoned homes .
they type of home tells the stories oh their residents in whispers.
Pretty cool that people don't destroy it.... Nice view, I could live there
I couldn't put up with the climate in a place like that.

I could quite happily live there...except the problem of water. Super views though.
I wish we in Germany had something like that!

Wow 80°. I'm still trying to keep my house above 60°. Lol.

❤❤❤
Where was the shaft he was working?
id live there
There is also land owned by people that have old dwellings on them. Please check maps to make sure you are on BLM or STATE land.
That red high heel shoe at 1:27 in was left there by Wonderhussy a couple of years ago.
😅
I noticed the covid cleaning out by the notebook. Got germs (out there) ugh. Mice have more pride than to shack up here.
What did they do for water?

This cabin belongs to a older gentleman n he does let people stay there as long as they don't destroy it

Very interested. I'd like to dowse the area. Who knows?
I would like to live there (with AC of course). I mean that.
I think you need good camera .thank you
Complete with hot and cold running rattlesnakes😅
I thought cabins were made from logs and cracks mudded in between the logs.. and logs cut from trees notched out to fit together..
Don't be smart, Lisa.
Correct, these are “shacks” maybe “huts”
But who cares
Just keep the snakes out, I would look it over real good.
you need quiter pants. your thighs are rubbing together when you walk.
Troll.
i think i saw this one through, wonderhussy adventures. ? i think she left the red shoe, her and the girls.??
