Only loosely related: when Cyrus sent the Judeans back home, a significant number of them refused to go and chose, chose, to remain in what is now called "exile." Hence, the eventual existence of the Babylonian Talmud and its huge prominence many years later. This strikes me as very significant, but I do know where it is discussed, either the numbers who remains, what their characteristics were, and what, if any, reason they gave for refusing to return to their homeland. To put it bluntly, the Chosen People chose their Exile. (Still true today, majority of Jews refuse to make aliyah and remain among "antisemitic" non Jews)

I wonder if the Church of God’s emblem (cross with a 🔥 flame swooshing around it) refers to this Zoroastrian concept?
Aaaaand…. If you google First Church in Oklahoma City, the ziggurat type structure has a huge lotus looking flower window set in it.
First Church is associated in the Church of God Assembly.
