Narrowed my first luxury watch to this one and Sinn 104 (white). Your video pushed me more in the Spirit's direction. I wanna try on the 40 mm though. They didn't have that one. Thx. 38mm would be fantastic for a watch of these proportions. From what I understand, the trend in Asia has been geared more towards the oversize range vs the Western world where smaller sizes are making a comeback.

I just purchased this watch on the blue leather strap from my local Longines dealer, he had to order it, so I should have it mid week. He says MOST Longines blue watches sell really fast. Its a lovely watch. I was torn between this and the IWC , but finally went for the IWC. On paper, this ticks a lot of boxes - great craftsmanship, lovely dial (the blue one shines like the IWC Le Petit Prince), great brand with heritage, solid movement, anti magnetic etc. But some design elements just didn't work for me (personally) like the 5 star, the red diamond seconds hand, the diamond markers, the over sized logo just seemed unnecessary in my eyes. The IWC for me was more minimalist and focused. End of the day I still think both of these are great watches and it just boils down to personal tastes, preferences and brand preference. I dont think I would have regretted if I had gone with the Longines. Great choice and nice review!

Funny that you chose to review this watch, it has been on my radar for a few months now. I'd like to try one on. Apparently the lume is outstanding on these watches. I think I would go for the 40mm, as I don't think I like the cutaway 3 arabic on the bigger model. I like the look of the silver/white dial, it appears to have a lovely grainy texture. The movement is effectively an IHM, as it has been made expressly for these watches. I think you're getting a lot of watch for the money. Thanks for the content, very well done too.

I see the most of your remarks as positive things :D
      The long lugs offer character.
And the thing bracelet which makes it more comfy. And because of the thin bracelet they couldn't add bigger holes for the screw in pins.
      I did enjoyed the beacelet.
I have to rebuy it :D

The main reason bought this over the IWC is that it is water resistant to 100 M and Iwc to only 5O M.. as classy as IWC prince but much lower price. Blue dial is stunning. Best watch under 2k

Iwc has 60m, I owned the spirit but sold it and got the iwc. I just prefer the design of the Iwc better, no one makes pilot watches look as nice as iwc. Longines is fantastic for the money.

firstly you have 10% off if you add "bravebeaters" as coupon code. that color is beautiful I know it. if you have the black dial version I think it will look very cool. I can also suggest you a padded strap. I think it continues the shape case.

Cool blue - smart even pretty looking watch. I prefer it on a strap - looks summery on that blue strap. Don’t mind the date or even the 5 star medals on its chest. Not sold on the red dipped seconds hand so much but that’s a non issue really. Liking that funky oversized crown. I prefer this to the larger 42mm as the 3 marker and the date window look off. competing for space. Yeah it’s on my list for a test drive in the metal once were released from lockdown! Good review.
