I'd love to do vocals for these guys - That's the missing piece (not bad for a German). They pull some serious crowds.
It IS bad. Even for a German. The musical cover is great; without any doubt. But the vocal performance is (and even Mark isn't a good singer) absolutely Insufficient; sorry.
@@MrRandyman74 I was being nice:). I do a pretty decent MK vocals cover - Not that I'm a great singer but as noted, neither is MK:). I have yet to hear a cover band with even reasonably good representative vocals. I need to put a demo tape together & send it or just start a YT channel w/ MK vocal covers & see if catches the attention of any of these bands.
Serious effort! There will only be ONE MK and DS but as good a copy as you will get!

Très bien joué et bien chanté, un peu trop country à mon goût, je préfère le style plus basique mais plus impétueux de l'album "money for nothing". Je viendrai si vous passez dans le coin ! Bravo :-)

Think comments on vocals are harsh. He does a decent job .after all he's a German guy singing in English.
Marl Knopfler is the first to admit he isn't the best vocalist in the world. The thing is (like this guy) his voice and tone suits the music...thats all that matters.....you can keep your x-factor robots.

Pretty good for a tribute band. I pulled it up not even realizing it was a tribute band, but they're good. That's a lot of fans for a show with a tribute band. Is that all they do is Dire Straits songs? Where are they from--Germany?
dIRE sTRATS is a german tribute band who plays the repertoire of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler since almost 15 years. You can find a lot of videos on this channel.

Wolfgang, what amp are you usine for this kind of sparkling boosted clean sound? Is it you Soldano or some Fender amp? Thanks a lot.
Wolfgang uses exclusively the Soldano SLO 100 for all live gigs. So he did on this recording.
Excellent guitar by the lead guitarist on this. To be honest, the vocalist doesn't really manage to sing this song very well, and the crowd seems pretty tame.
Got to get a Geordie accent !!!
