The Fire Alarm Didn't Sound

- You would expect a functioning, test passed fire alarm would sound with smoke in the room. That did not happen and that is a big problem. Our autistic daughter does not understand the danger of smoke and fire inside the home and she is not going to tell us if she sees smoke.
The reason it did not go off surprised me.

The pool is back open again. Summer is definitely coming up. Braylee loves the pool

I’ve never heard about 2 types of fire alarms. Being an educator who has worked quite a bit with the fire department and fire safety, I’ve never heard of this. Thank you for sharing and spreading this information.

I feel like there are sooo many vinegar uses! I remember really not liking the smell of it growing up. Now, I kind of like it.
4 paddles from the old ceiling fan and a bedpost will make a dragonfly fence decoration. Saw it on a hack video.
speaking of being hot... have you ever tried a cooling vest when shes outside? that might help . my daughter wears an ice vest /coolng vest in the summer for 20-30 minutes a time... to keep them cool. i'm not sure braylee has that issue but it helps!
We have the ionisation smoke detectors in our kitchen. My housemate fainted when cooking something in the electric oven and the stupid alarm didnt go off until the room was entirely full of smoke, the whole house stank. They're crap.

Thank God that Braylee is okay. Sleeping in that smoke could not have been good. Do you know if she knew anything about it? I had no idea there was more than one type of smoke alarm. That is good to know so I am glad you shared that with us.
She did not seem to notice. She isn’t going to let us know that she smells or sees smoke which makes it sooo important that are alarm goes off in those situations.

My smoke alarms are so sensitive that they go off every time I cook with high temperatures. They are hard wired and have batteries. When one goes off, they all go off.
Yea our living room alarm does that.

I did not know there is two types. The ones I have are pretty sensitive. Oh wow it was her ceiling fan.
