Porsche 993 audio upgrade, PT1 behind the scenes - Hertz Mille Legend, Audison Forza M8.14

A bit of a behind the scenes look at what goes into installing speakers and an amplifier in a Porsche 993, although the same principals apply to the 3.0SC, 3.2 and 964.

The customer went for a fully active 2 way front end on this one with the more powerful Audison amplifier option.
There was some more water damage which we repaired as part of the job as well.

In the States, the Helix V Twelve is a better price with more output than Audison. Just curious why he went with the Audison vs the Helix?

In the UK, they are the same price, £1299.99. Also the V Twelve is less power per channel and is not bridgeable. This car didn't need 12 channels, it needed 6, so most of those channels would have gone to waste. Then there was the space I had under the seat. The Helix products (I'd have liked to use the Six Ultimate) were too large for the space.
