Thanks! Someone else also commented that so i had to look it up. Pretty crazy thing to find at the park lol. Well that park has some trails that go thru the woods to another park. At the other park I found a model t valve stem I winder if somehow they are connected or if maybe an old road went thru there at some point in time. Might have to do a little more research on the area.
How long have we been waiting for this update ? Couldn't get it right aftee all that time. You aren't the only one saying there is something wrong.nyou cant all be wrong. Good video buddy.
Nokta has a new video out today on how to use the Beast Mode. according to Nokta you have to use the mode in "A" All Metal mode to use the beast mode correctly. plus it is important to ground balance the machine as well. i have tried what is shown in the video to get the beast mode to preform well. i have listened to what Dilek from Nokta said about using the beast mode in a video that i saw on a detecting group. i still can not get the mode to work/preform deeper than the other modes that are all ready on the machine. it way lacks depth. something an't right.?
I'm starting to think the beast mode is for very specific conditions. The second ground balance to eliminate hot rocks could be useful. I don't think I'll be using it, but for some uses it may be useful.
Couldn't agree with you more I also wanted the beast mode to perform well but from my tests I'm getting the same results so yes it needs some work for sure. Now maybe in Turkey where they created it and tested it works great but not so much here and it's not just us I'm seeing several results even from the nokta testers so maybe they'll address the issue and I would really really like for the mode to be integrated in the field or park mode so we could have the tone and tone break options I mean that's just like the pitch tone some loves it but I've tried and it's just not for me I love my multi tones and being able to adjust to my likings. Anyway enjoyed the video and we'll just keep our fingers crossed that they will get it corrected but whatever the legend is already an awesome detector as it is and will continue using the other modes.
Yeah the pitch tones is pretty hard to get used too. I prefer 60 tones, but if I were getting the depth i though we were supposed to from beast mode I would have been able to over look that. I agree maybe ground condition in turkey are different and maybe beast mode works there. Here in south east Texas not so much. Lets hope Nokta hears us and fixes this issue.
Good video brother. I have 3 detectors Legend is one of them. THE other 2 are X/P's a ORX and a DEUS 2 lite. I have version 111 on my legend I was going to update it since the BEAST mode was out. But from what I been seeing on others channels including yours I think I will pass. I have noticed that Nokta has been promising a lot and delivering b/s as in nothing. AND LOL both X/P detectors out preform the legend. As shown for the price of each model however the legend has become more expensive than the ORX that outpreforms the legend........ Thanks for sharing.
Hmm you really think the orx out preforms the legend 🤔. I'm sorry I do not agree. I think the orx is a great machine, but heck I would take the double score over the orx personally.
@zzzzzzzzzzaper yeah great machine. Love how light it is, but being single frequency it is limited in my opinion. If they would drop the price a little I would probably one one. Just can see spending that much on a single frequency then spending that much for the high frequency coil. Great machine though can't really say anything bad about it.
@@TheTexanDetector well I can't really complain about the orx price or performance since I'm only into mine 320 In-N-Out performs The legend and yeah I know how to set them up as far as single frequency goes the machine still a killer dude bottom line and yeah it's outperformed the legend not only once on many occasions
You got to swing over the target to get the beep .. I am trying to understand this Legend by watching videos of people using it. But What I am seeing is I think you are right about Beast Mode needs more tweaking to it. Otherwise You are out having fun and staying dirty.. keep up being real Brother you are doing an amazing work out in this hobby.. Happy Hunting . Peace
After my battery died at the park I did a lit of comparisons and it was not good. At first I was just trying to get used to beast mode and it was starting to grow on me, but when beast mode was showing max depth on targets some barely coming through. Then I switch to park and the targets are only about 6 inches deep something is definitely wrong. Plus low to mid conductive targets VDI are all over the place. Drink foil seals that we all find detecting were 26-35 where normally in park are 11 🤔. I hope these issues are addressed.
@@TheTexanDetector Me too Cause the legend a lot of people like it.. Keep on trying it out and tweaking it. I know a new Machine takes a bit to understand. I am Still trying to get use to the 700..
I see the Beast is a Yeast!! never rose to the occasion. What up Travis, I myself don't need the Beast I am satisfied withe Legend settings now with great success. I have been detecting since early 80's and never really believed in air tests. Yes it's a good guideline but in real action it's a different ball game. Dept, soil, how it sits in the hole, sideways or flat and the "HALO IT HAS" around it from all the years being buried. What I do at times is do a first cut with the shovel and break the ground and scan again. Now you broke the halo and VDI's could be different and tell you more. I'll stick with what I have now on my Legend. It goes deep and I have fine tuned it to where we are one!!! Take care Travis and see you on the next hunt
I agree I wasn't really even planning on using beast mode much as the legend is already a beast. I am not really a deep target hunter anyway I mostly look for jewelry and coins in modern parks. Heck I pass up a lot of signals because they are too deep lol. Don't want to be digging 14" holes all the time that might get me kicked out of my parks 😂. Now when the beast mode came out I had to at least try it out. I do love the DT feature that was worth the update on its own. I had to give my honest opinion of beast mode and I hope Nokta listens cause I'm not the only one with these opinions. Thanks for stopping by brother and happy hunting!
@@TheTexanDetector Couldn't have said it any better. Honesty is the way to go let others decide if they want to keep it or not. Later travis be careful out there
Hey Travis, what’s up, brother? I’m heading out Detecting right now as I’m watching you on my phone. It’s been raining here for four days straight today. We got 35 mile an hour winds. The rain stopped, but the wind is still howling. Wish me luck, brother.
Have you ever tried field mode? I searched an area that was 10 feet by 6 feet and had no sounds on park mode. Mental metal tested Field mode. I tried it and got great targets on that same 10 x 6 ground.
23:41 everyone shows similar, with coins, i want to see somebody do the test with iron, like a buckle or a horseshoe, my theroy is if its for finding relics maybe it will preform with a relic
I thought about that. I tried a bunch of different targets in air test didn't really see much difference. Also if you notice that square nail I found in the video had the depth meter max out then only ended up being about 5-6 inches deep. I compared about 2 hours of targets after my battery died and it just got more and more disappointing.
The thing everyone needs to realize is the beast mode update was only put out as beta testing and it is not final yet. Nokta has stated they have fine tuning to do before they release the finalized update.
Its a shame because the operation of beast mode really grew on me. One click and I can go from park to beast. The pitch tone even started to grow in me. The loss if depth and crazy VDI number for low and mid conductive targets just makes it unusable in my opinion. I sure hope Nokta does something to address these issues.
@@TheTexanDetector Well I am still in the wait and see mode. I took it out yesterday and just used my regular settings with DT at 3 and it was very stable and found a nickel at about 8 inches. It was banging on that nickel. I think all in all right now I like that it stabilized the machine and it is hitting deep targets. I actually didn't even check the beast mode, but will this week.
@diggingwesttexas3342 the DT feature is a great addition. I hear a lot of people talking about how their machine is more stable haven't really noticed that, but my machine was really stable before. Then again the place I was testing it is kind of notorious for high emi so and added stability wouldn't have really been noticed there lol. Just one of the parks I hunt that had some open fields where I could really go for deep targets. I'm curious what Nokta will do to address beast mode.
if beast mode changes vdi numbers for park finds to another number thats messed up cause i just memorized finds im not changing to beast mode im happy with what i have and making lots of$$$$$$ why change? I love my legend just the way it is yes sir.
To me the worst thing about beast mode is the loss of depth when I thought we were supposed to gain depth. Now the other feature in the update DT or deep target identification is amazing. It will give you about an extra 2 inches in park or field mode. Not sure how well it works on beach haven't been to a beach to try lol. I really hope Nokta addresses the issues with beast mode.
Think i should update from 1.11? Ill be at my grandmothers house today and she has a windows computer so i could run the update, but honestly i havnt heard anything good about it yet, maybe i will though just to play around with the delirium tremens... i mean DT
Yeah I found several of those foil seals from drink bottles. In beast they were anyway from 26-35 then in park they were solid 11. Beast really seemed to struggle with lower to mid conductive targets. Coins were pretty much where I expected them. Although I never found a nickel so I'm not sure how they would react.
Nickels on the deus sound really poor, especially pure nickel as in the metal, American nickels and Canadian nickels between 83-1999 sound a tad better due to the copper content, but still not great, I have no idea why, the legend hits great on nickel the metal and nickels the coins
@@TheTexanDetectorHello Travis. Yeah, if a foil top came up as 26-35 in Beast Mode on your detector, then maybe a nickel may come up in the 40’s on your VDI, as well. Have you tried a nickel on an air test while in Beast Mode? I’d be curious to what the nickel shows up as. I’d also like to see how well it performs with the 6 inch coil too. Can you imagine the 6inch with the already great separation, but in DT/Beast Mode? I updated my Legend, but I’ve yet to put it to the test. Great honest review, Travis. _/ 👍🏻
Why did they need to add a beast mode. I thought according to some that baby could run with a Manticore, Eqx and Deus 2 all day long. Hmmmm Maybe not. Hmmm
Looks like Beast mode may just be a marketing gimmick to get the Legend lots of renewed attention and thus sales. If so it will be a sales bust for them as their new Beast mode extra depth is for us. They will probably get less sales then normal until they come up with a fix.
What for them to come up with the final update to make any judgement calls. Right now the release is only beat testing and Nokta has stated that they need to fine tune it before a final update release.
your camera or adjustment is needed because alot of your videos are blurry your orange shovel is outlined with blurr just letting know in case you didnt know
Check what resolution you are playing at because all my videos are either shot in 1080p or now in 4k. If you are watching at a lower resolution that might be the issue.
I don't know why you say that Beast Mode is good, all the videos I seen about it shows that park and field are giving better tones and are just as deep or deeper! You really don't need a Beast mode if you're only digging 5-7 inch targets! Don't get me wrong, I love the Legend, I have one, but that new update is all but useless! IMO. It definitely needs to be reevaluated by Nokta!
I like the idea of beast mode and the first part of the video I was trying it out giving it a chance. What I am saying is beast mode is broken and I hope nokta does something to fix it. Now the DT feature is awesome, but beast mode as it is now is garbage.
Yes it is. Nokia is going to screw us with a new Legend and I am going to be stuck with a machine, absolute machine with coils and everything and I will be able to buy the new leggings they do. I’m going somewhere else. I don’t like it like that.
Hold on the Legend is still a great machine. The new beast mode doesn't in my opinion work as advertised. I'm hoping by bringing attention to the issues Nokta will address them. All of the regular modes still work great. I still plan on using my Legend for years to come. I too have a lot invested in my legend with coils and shafts.
I’m going to weigh until they get the bugs working out. As for the Legend I’m extremely satisfied with it, at my age I’m not planning on digging extremely deep holes.
Thanks for the video Travis and all of the information.
