In many states and counties dog groomers have been forced to close due to the coronvirus threat, keeping your dogs free of mats and tangles will keep them comfortable until they can next be fully groomed. I made this video to help you learn how to properly and safely maintain your pets longer coat and how to brush out matted hair. I will teach you about tools to use and proper technique. I start with basic brushing on a hind leg and then teach you gentle dematting. This video is an aid only and I strongly advise you to only do what makes you and your pet feel comfortable.
This brushing technique works for all breeds with longer growing hair such as Shih Tzu, Maltese, Poodle, Doodle, Cocker Spaniel, Yorkie, Bichon, Schnauzer, Portuguese Water Dog etc.
