Thanks for the review. Love my eda balance and edx ultra. I think I will easily skip this one. The competition on 20$ is so tight, QKZ I think is a bit late to launch this one. Should be earlier than kz product waves.
Another great indepth review. Althoug it is me who knows very little about QKZ, KZ,CCA and all this familiar companies' mess you righteously mention. I got the KZ Zas, the CCA CRA, maybe also include the kbear Rosefinch as reference, all of them bassy, maybe not so much newer CCa HM20 I think. The shells are beautiful and may I say with a little shame, sometimes they are a buying factor to me. This is why I appreciate so much your reviews that make me come to my senses and think again if I should skip this one and just make my preorder on the heydays! Thank you Iem Sensei.
Bought EDX Ultra very based in your review and got really surprised by it's technical performance. I think I'll skip QKZ HBB and go for Tanchjim Zero...
What tips were used in the tests? Sorry you mentioned both types that were used but I could not understand it to be able to look at purchasing the tips.
Just got my zeitan wu planar iem compared to tinhifi p1max vocals are less airy(abit veiled) bass is abit more on zeitan wu. Treble extention and quality is equal. Mids is better on p1max. Soundstage is better on p1max (3d presentation) detail retrieval is better on p1max. Tonality is also better on p1max. P1max is the clear winner in my opinion.

These really blow away most of those. EDA balanced was too boring compared to this. ESX has good bass and kinda competes in having character. Qkz has this good character in the guitars that is a really satisfying quality. Really satisfying in instruments overall. There is a quality where it carries a sense of air and weight. The slam is just right. If this had better technicalities it would blow these others away. They are all pretty close except you can tell a person better at tuning in particular rock music and metal is behind the QKZ model. To my ears he has the right tonality nailed down. Having said that I don't yet own the EDX Ultra. I'm pretty sure those are great too because I have owned the other two EDX models. EDX as a model has my genres nailed down too. So I'm sure your assessment on those two are closely aligned with mine. I really like how the HBB handles my tracks better than KZ has though.
What about the soundstage between HBB and ESX? Too much of a diference? A lot of people said ESX have the biggest soundstage in this price range. Is that true or do you still prefer HBB?
@@tiagorods. these are good in depth but not in Soundstage compared to ESX. ESX has a decent Soundstage for sure abd some may prefer that bigger and slower bass. It's a nice textured bass in both. I think this Titanium coated driver also gives the HBB a faster quality to it. I am using narrow bore tips that come in my Dunu Titan S box. Not the original tips. So that helps on both the ESX and HBB.
@@tiagorods. yes I still prefer the HBB because the way it sounds in the instruments. For my genres the cymbals, guitars, kick drums, pianos, everything sounds more natural and satisfying.
Thanks! So I think I made a good choice. I also listen to a lot of metal and I saw some people say that ESX gets a little muddy in very fast and busy tracks. I'm going to try Tri Clarion wide bore tips on HBB to see if it helps on the soundstage, I intend to use to watch movies too.

Oh btw, are you using stock tips or some wide bore on HBB?

can i ask question? which is the best the QKZ AK6 Zeus or QKZ X HBB or should i get CCA CRA for thight budget wise?
Go to EDA Balance if you are like neutral-ish person, go CRA if you like nice bass and treble extension.
@@afuyan ok thanks im satistified rn at my 7hz 0 for neutral. but im still searching for a good budget wise for a bass. cca cra or qkz x hbb?
@@Onairda- I have a bias here towards HBB and QKZ, so take this with a grain of salt. I would recommend CRA.
@@afuyan cca cra is not a bass iem
Kz Zsn pro x and kz zs10 pro Are much better
I prefer Zeus rta
KZ to me seems to be full of crap than surprises.
They have weird bass no to much sub no to much punch something missing details no good
