I've still got mine and it runs smooth as butter the haptics are brilliant camera is great as well as the video, watching netflix and all your social media runs fantastic it's my first Google phone and want be my last live pixels now getting the 9 this year 👌💯
Yes. Mine works great on Android 14 and it should be fairly easy to install a custom OS when it stops getting updates. My battery life has also been stellar.
I still have it. Great value. Great pics, excellent softer processing , water resistant, good battery, nice screen, compact phone (most important for me) and all that together with still great Chip Set ( on par with Snapdragon 888).
I picked one up from my local Wal Mart through Verizon prepaid for $99. At that price it's an excellent value for a phone with such great performance, cameras, NFC, decent build quality and fast updates for a few more years. The 6a is almost flagship level on most everything. So I would say if you find a good deal on it that's it's definitely worth buying in 2024.
Paid $100 for a perfect condition 6a on Ebay. Have a "flagship" s22 that I got for "free" from T Mobile but still getting credits until later this year. Missed my Pixel 3 and although the s22 is a nice phone, the stock Android and features on Pixel plus the camera are WAY better than my s22. In fact the 6a won the blind study test of 21million votes last year. I think the 6a as the last of the old sensor takes better point and shoot photos than the 7a and 8 in many cases.
My 6a has serving my needs perfectly since it got released. Great camera for the price and the Google experience software. Android 14 has really improved performance and battery life. BUT if I was buying new, I'd get the 7a instead
Its a good phone, currently using it daily and it holds up! Im satisfied for now till the Google Pixel 9 drops in price around Thanksgiving or Christmas
I have been using this phone for a while now. So far it is ok, and I think this phone might last for a long time. Decent battery (just enough for me for a full day), good camera, small form factor is a pleasant feature for me. The performance though, yeah it is excellent for it's price point, but sustained performance is below average I'd say (especially since I live in rural areas most of the time so it's hot here) the performance drop can go down to 40% of what it was before it gets hot. 5G connectivity depends on where you live in, if you live in countries where Google services are not supported then you won't have 5G connectivity without some tricks and hacks. Those two are the biggest drawbacks for me. Overall, I recommend this IF you have the right circumstances to fully utilize it
Greetings from Philippines. Thank you for your video, it is very informative! Can you please kindly advise your screen on time and what is the average screen on time of the phone. I am planning to get 1 but I would like to know first the average SOT. Thank you for your reply - cris
Ebay refurb in perfect condition with one year coverage = $175. Using it right now and loving it mostly. Fingerprint sensor is horrible. Absolutely horrible. I had to turn it off completely.
I bought this for $99 new locked to verizon at walmart a few months ago and it's awesome for just $99. Even at the $199 msrp locked to verizon it's still a great value.

I've had the same experience with the sensor. I wish they had kept the rear sensor, it worked great!
