- Sunset Bass Fishing Redemption 🌅🎣
After three nights of coming up empty-handed, the pressure was on to finally catch a bass at Lake Balboa. I had tried everything from large jerk baits to swim baits, but nothing seemed to work. Determined to break my streak, I switched to a finesse technique with a 3-inch Lunkerhunt Bento Bait, hoping its realistic look would attract the bass that were chasing baitfish all around me.
As the sun set and bass busted the surface, I finally got a bite-but lost the fish. Refusing to give up, I pressed on and managed to land a bass just as the day was ending. Watch this intense and rewarding evening of fishing, and see how persistence pays off!

What do you throw when the fishing is tough? Comment below and let me know!
We've all been there man! I also bring ultralight gear, throw on a trout magnet, and catch some bluegill or little bass until the bigger bass come out to play.
Nice, yea that reminds me I want to get an ultralight set up. I don’t have one currently.
Those urban ponds can be so tough sometimes. So much pressure. I think that first bait would be considered a wake bait with those bills pointing straight down like that.
Man honestly, I'm so sick of fishing these urban lakes. It's such a long drive up to Castaic or the lagoon though so I always just go to these local spots but I'm getting so burnt out on how hard they are to catch a decent fish.
I like the kastmasters when the bite is tough or gulp minnows
Gulp Minnows are money! I should have had some of those, you’re right.
Snakes and hornets? At least you that action!
Whoops… “At least you had THAT action…”
Action is action right?
Hey man my personal opinion that I think would help is using fluorocarbon line like at least a 6 foot liter amount and you will like get bites. Try and see if it helps
Thanks man! I was actually using 6lb fluoro at the end of this video where I finally landed one. You’re right, that definitely helped!
I watch these dudes from Arizona who bag bass - lmb and smallies - from rando ponds and small canals that crisscross their cities. How is that fair? We have Lake Herpes (Balboa) and Echo Park. (Try not to get stabbed.) Oh well. Good on you for grinding it out.
lol I know right. I’m honestly so sick and tired of fishing these local spots around here. They’re so difficult to get a decent fish at. Of course I could drive an hour to Castaic or the Lagoon but I’m not trying to pay $12 vehicle entrance fee on top of a long ass drive every time I want to go fish. Drives me crazy man, LA just isn’t the spot for green bass fishing.
@@DudefishhTV That drive to Castaic is awful. White knuckle moments now and then. That does it. We should probably move the Florida keys and smash fish all day. That place is lousy with fish.
@@365daysofpractice I’m just going to move back home to Tennessee lol. Better fishing there.
@@DudefishhTV I have some buddies in Tenn. I creep on them via Google Maps. “Bro, how’s that pond two blocks to the east of you. Looks juicy.” Is online bass stalking a thing? 😂
@@365daysofpractice hahaha. What part of TN?
