Honestly I think the console versions of Minecraft are the time capsule Minecraft. While I do think Java still is and continue to be the king of the hill personally, the console versions don’t get updates anymore. If you want a pure old school Minecraft, the discontinued versions on previous gen hardware is not a bad choice.

@@SATADELUXE I am playing a ps vita rn, and I can assure you, the ps vita is awesome. But be prepared to not have enough space to fit all your games and for delisted games that are hidden from the store, as well as not having enough money buy them : )
That’s why it’s essential to mod the Vita to utilize its features to its maximum potential! The Vita was definitely ahead of its time compared to the Switch in terms of features(Bluetooth, OLED, etc). I own both a Switch and a Vita, but I vastly prefer the PS Vita for its ergonomic design and trophies as well as its amazing, although limited, library of incredible games that are still yet to be ported elsewhere!

Back in time I only had a crappy PC, and it was overheating and shutting down when I was trying to play Minecraft. So my Vita was the only way to play Minecraft correctly, and I enjoyed this version so much
Before that I also played a lot on a weird Android version on a very old tablet without the playstore. There was only creative mode, and the world was tiny, i think there was no monsters, and probably no Nether nor End, but I can't tell because back in time I didn't knew those dimensions... But there was mobs like sheeps, pigs, there was torch, windows, most of the blocks that exists, and the fact that I could create my own base with a farm was enough to have fun with it

Sounds like a very old version of android pocket edition
that was called pocket edition lite, based off of pocket edition alpha 0.2.2 (or on iOS it was called demo) lite had everything you described apart from dimensions. there were no dimensions until mcpe alpha 0.12 in 2015, and that was only the nether. mcpe 1.0 in 2016 added the end.

Funny how fans were able to adapt Minecraft for the PSP but Monjang decided to make it just for the New 3DS due to the lack of a second analogue stick in the Old 3DS.

For those wondering how they got the PSP version (I don't know if this is commonly known now with the PSP being fairly old) as there was no PSP version, there is a really good homebrew version made by @Regen Studio. If you have a modded PSP I highly recommend you check it out, it's very well made.

I always loved minecraft the xbox 360 edition, I used to play it on a daily basis, but unfortunately my xbox 360 can't be played again...
I still play the ps3 version so much nostalgia with the tutorial and the old textchur packs like the Greek mitholage and the fallout texture packs were so fun if you still own the ps3/xbox360 ones play it and you will thank me later by 😁😁

I remember playing the Demo for MC on PS3 in 2013 thinking it was ok. Then in late 2014, I downloaded the demo for the Vita edition and thought it was amazing. Then I bought it on PS3 to get free Vita version. I loved both equally, then about two months later got a PS4 and bought MC for $5 on the store AGAIN! Seeing this video reminded me of minecraft playstation back in 2014/2015. Especially the music playing on the PS4 pro in the vid

Dude, Wii U/PS3/360 Legacy Edition ran 720p. Bedrock isn't available on those consoles unless someone's willing to perform some chaotic miracle. I would love for the PS3/360 to have Bedrock 1.19.4 with a smaller render distance more optimized for these guys. My NVS 2100M is running 720p 6 chunks with Linux Mint 20.3 using Optifine and JDK 17. I would say decrease the render distance from what I can assume is 10 chunks down to 8.

Both PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U and PS4 (old) versions are pure nostalgia, but later... it got discontinued in sometime of 2020 or 2023 due to the Better Together update, that update on mobile versions changed from Pocket Edition to Bedrock Edition (as for now)

I had huge memories of minecraft the 1st minecraft I played was the demo minecraft pe on my Amazon Kindle back in 2013 then I played the xbox 360 version but it broke so in 2016 I got a new copy but currently it's broken too so now I'm playing minecraft on my tablet long live minecraft.

I’ve got a few Japanese Exclusive CREEPER EDITION New 2DS LL’s. One is used for regular Minecraft sessions and the others stay in their boxes unopened and are on display in my office in a locked display case.

can I ask a question? Why do most of the different platforms shown here use their launch version (e.g. Xbox 360 is show running TU1 here instead of the final update it got which was TU69 or something.) Having it set back to the launch version makes it have an unfair disadvantage as TU1 was based off of Minecraft beta 1.6 from 2011. no hate or anything.

La versiones de Legacy fueron hechas por 4J Studios , y son versiones que prácticamente son un Port virgen de Java , solo que sin actualizaciones recientes.
Mientras que el Minecraft Bedrock que está disponible en PS4 , Xbox One y Nintendo Switch en Adelante son un Port del Minecraft de celular , como antes se llamaba (Pocket Edition).

I wonder how Mojang ported Minecraft to the Nintendo New 3DS. It is a console with an ARMv6(ARM11 core) processor and it was able to run an almost full version of the game, when even early versions of Minecraft for Android required ARMV7.

@@not_jp. it is. The world size is actually bigger than in the 360/ps3 editions, there is a lot of content included, and it plays exactly just like the other versions. The draw distance sucks but anyone who knows how underpowered the 3DS is know that its a very impressive port

For PS3 (Java) on split screen I counted 113 blocks before a block disappears from sight.
For Nintendo Switch (Bedrock Edition) on split screen I counted 135 blocks before a block disappears from sight.
On my PC I can't count. I have an RTX 3080 so I put it maxed out at 76 chunks. It just goes on forever it seems.
As for PS4/Pro, Idk. I don't have one. I also only have an Xbox original. I don't have a 360, One or Series.
Ps4 edition has 22 chunks, ps4 bedrock edition has 16 chunks of render distance

#1:Battle minigames.(Best nostalgia)
#2:Textures that don't look like SHIT.(Like if you agree)
#3:going back through and editing this I also forgot to mention the fact that they removed a WHOLE PART of the cat song when they switched to bedrock.
#4:dumbed down mobs:enderman,zombies and spiders do less damage,skeletons don’t move and shoot,and the game is generally easier and more boring on a singleplayer world,console doesn’t have dumbed down mobs.

1. If I play bedrock I can cross play with people on all other devices
2. The console mini games look fun however bedrock has way more games and maps

I have the disc for ps4 Minecraft and you can swap between old Edition(Ps4,Ps3 Edition) and the newer edition.I dont play minecraft much anymorw but when I did me and my sisters built huge sky Islands and made up our own story for the village with founders, hiden swords, and a neat Stable with horses.
This gives me nostalgia.

Man, remember when we had our xbox one in 2016. Gives me memories playing the minigames, now its just PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, No fun games like the playroom on the PS4 and had PSVITA too. Good ol days. It was simple no online, no netherite just easy.

0:08 3ds resolution is 400x240, the screens resolution is technically 800x240 when the 3d is turned on but Minecraft 3ds doesn't support that.
