  • An event organised by the De Dion Bouton Club UK. Held on the 29th November 2017, to commemorate 120 years to the day since the first motor race held in Great Britain.
The original race consisted at 3 De Dion Bouton Motor Tricycles and was held on Sheen House Cycle Track in Richmond Park. The commemoration saw 20 Tricycles from 9 different makers ranging from 1898-1901 All but 1 with De Dion Bouton Engines. The event was run on the Start/Finish straight of the historic Brooklands track which opened in 1907.
Unfortunately I accidentally wiped my memory card before I had taken the video off. Luckily I managed to recover some of it but it was cut into sections, and some parts were missing, so not as good as I had hoped.

Thanks for your comment. I assume you are mean Brooklands is (in 2019) only 112. This event though held at Brooklands, was celebrating the first motor race in Britain which took place at Sheen House in 1897. Hope that helps. Apologies if I have got the wrong end of the stick.
