    No dog can come close to cheetah, but dogs can run the distance, cheetah can only do short distance.

    Greyhounds are fast and often love to run when out, but, when they get home, they are the laziest dogs out! Ever so affectionate, cuddly and soppy!

      Agreed 100%, but they can sometimes be a bit 'edgy' to cuddle as a lapdog due to their lean build! All 'longdogs' - as they are nicknamed in the UK - have a similar temperament; greyhounds, whippets, lurchers, deerhounds, wolfhounds. salukis etc. They make a near-perfect pet due to their all-or-nothing character and are one of the quietest breeds to own, barking very rarely - our new neighbours took nine months to realise that we owned four lurchers! The greatest downside is their often uncontrollable urge to hunt, and great care must be taken when they are walked off the lead.

    Fed up of this nonsense about animal speeds, especially cheetahs, the fastest cheetah ever timed was called Sarah and she hit a top speed of 61mph. Nowhere near 70 or 75mph. I don't understand why the claim is continually made when the fastest ever is 14mph slower. The fastest grey hound ever officially recorded hit 41 nearly 42mph that's the fastest so they do not run at 45mph maybe there'll be one or to hit that but most are not fast enough to race so they are going to be around 30-32mph 35mph at a push.

      @4EverGreenYT  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like you're really passionate about animal speeds and accuracy in information! It's true, Sarah, a cheetah at the Cincinnati Zoo, was recorded running 61 mph, which is indeed impressive. Misinformation can be frustrating, especially when it comes to the capabilities of animals. It's important to rely on verified records and studies to understand their true potential. @4EverGreenYT Not so much speed nah. I just love animals in general and keep seeing all these videos about speed and other things, so I eventually decided to look up some of the facts a few years ago out of curiosity, I was like wow that's nowhere near 75mph it's a really big discrepancy and a continued narrative that all wildlife documentaries push. They don't do it with other Animals like Birds and fish. For some strange reason though, they do it with cheetahs with no verifiable evidence to back it up and just seems a bit ridiculous to me. Be a bit like saying Robert Wadlow was 9ft 5in tall when in fact was measured at 8ft 11.1in. They should use the data and the data they have says up to 61mph. Sure, one might go faster one day, but animal scientists really shouldn't just make things up off the top of their heads. Science is about facts and most likely answers in the absence of facts.
