what version of the song did you use for the tone? were you going off the original or pusu's version, because to me it sounds like the studio version with a little more drive and less compression maybe? ive been trying to get the tone right on my deluxe reverb with my soul food drive and boss cs-3
I don't think both versions have different tones, probably just the volume in the mix that makes them seem different, as for my tone i'd say i got it pretty close but i put a low pass filter a bit too close which i think just destroyed the tone, completely removing the high frequencies. And yes, i also agree that i put a bit too much gain here and too little compression. For the tone, other than a fender style clean amp and a ts style od tbh EQ is way more important when getting pusu's tone but i can't seem to get it myself :c

I’m pretty sure pusu the guitarist to made this song swapped between neck and bridge on chordial and lead parts of this song while having less of a drive maybe a lowered setting blues driver. Next to that very good cover it’s 1:1 of what he had played good job!
The original track uses bridge pickup for most of the song, check his guitar video and listen closely EDIT: oh and yeah i did use too much drive which is why it sounded shit xd also wrong amp lol

Thanks a lot man! I used a tube screamer type OD, a booster and a compressor into a fender style clean amp with some EQ.
