I’ve accumulated quite the stash of minis so this video is perfect for me! My favorite holiday dessert is struffoli...Italian fried balls of dough dipped in honey with sprinkles on top. Delicious with an espresso. Natalie you have such a fun podcast. Enjoy the NY winter....be sure to go see the Rockettes, St. Patricks Cathedral, and the Herald Square Windows, this holiday season. Perhaps you can blog a day for your viewers. I'm a retired NYC teacher and each December we would go to the Museum of Natural history to see the Origami Tree, and visit the NY Botanic Gardens in the Bronx for the Train Show. This is my first year to get an Advent box. I ordered the one from Aberdeen’s Wool. It has SO MUCH YARN. The mini skeins are 30g. So, I’m hoping to get 2 projects out of it. Hi Natalie. That is so kind of you doing the Ravelry bundle. That must have taken a lot of work and it is so well thought out - I love it and I know I will visit it often. My husbands cousin comes round for Christmas. We do the main meal and they do the desert. The wife makes the most amazing meringues. That would be my dessert of choice every time 🙂 I love that sock pattern - so clever xx
Technically the 12 days of Christmas start on Christmas Day (the first day of Christmas) so to help ease the pressure, you could start that on Christmas or the day after. I have way too many advents. I’m doing the Radvent throw, a Granny Square throw (each day I’ll crochet the whole 20 gram mini), Anthology throw from Helen Stewart, and I have an old un-used advent destined for Quadrephenia. I’ve also got a stitch marker, cross stitch advent, tea, candle, jam, and Lindt chocolate advents. Maybe be a bit advent obsessed.

My favorite holiday treat is shortbread cookies. I can’t get enough. While I’ve never purchased an advent calendar before I decided this year to create my own with scrap balls I had lying around. My daughter chose the yarn and the colors to keep it a surprise. I plan on doing just a traditional granny square blanket in the round with it. Thanks so much Natalie and happy advent!
My favorite holiday dessert is probably o ably cheesecake. So versatile. This is my first year to get advents and I got two. One is from Suburban Stitcher and it comes with a pattern. Good morning. I just loved this episode thank you so much for it. My favorite pudding is Malvapoeding with lots of homemade custard and ice cream. I didn't manage to get a advent but did make my own with scrap yarn. I'd love to knit my hubby some socks and a hat for next winter (it's summer ☀️ in South Africa). My daughter also challenged me to make myself some socks with my scraps as I'm always knitting just one color socks for myself. Our favorite holiday tradition, is a lazy one. Since we have always lived quite far from both our families we started cooking some fun food for the kids and then just buy a lot of snacks and rent movies. We wil spent the entire Christmas day on a big family bed in the living room with the kids, movies, snacks and aircon. This year will be the first year we won't do that in 22years. Kids are al working so won't make it home

I have to say my favorite holiday desert is my aunt’s pumpkin pie 💕💕
Love Christmas pudding with butter sauce. With my main advent I am going to be making the Christmas Countdown cowl and thinking the Round and Round cowl for my 12 day advent. Love the idea of The Quest so may put that on my dream knitting list for 2023 using a cou0ple mini bundles I have that aren't advent related. So many great patterns out there that use up minis. ☺☺
Love this video! Thank you for putting the video and raverly bundle together. It’s a great resource for knitters and crocheters! My favorite holiday dessert is anything with peppermint!
This is my first year with a Christmas advent, I am so excited to make a pattern for them. My favorite holiday treat is melting candy canes in Cocoa ! or Sugar Cookies, I really only make them around the holiday season
I make a cranberry and Granny Smith apple sauce that i adore for dessert. A little rum cake doesn’t hurt either. Thanks for all the advent ideas.
If I like it, that is going to be my daily project. The other one I would like to make into a sweater, either striped or My Favorite Adventure.
Oh this has given me so many ideas, thank you!!. I've started my Christmas baking and have the Christmas cake made which I can't wait to tuck in to. I've also made little star and angel peanut butter biscuits for our puppy Dorothy and she seems to like those a lot. My favourite pudding would have to a steamed chocolate puddling with hot chocolate sauce. I made it for the first time last year and it's on my list to make again this year.
Thanks for doing all the legwork on these ideas! ALthough this year my advent knitting is patching/mending all of my worn through socks, you gave me some great ideas and incentive to reward myself when I finish the pile of socks:)
My favorite holiday dessert is pecan pie with homemade whipped cream...mmmm....
I think that would be a great theme for advents next year....all the holiday desserts!
Every year now I use one of my advents do make Ambah O’Brien’s Adventure Wrap. I have 3 so far - I intend to keep that going this year. With my other advent I’ll make Dragon Hoard Yarn’s sweater My Favorite Adventure, I made this last year too (it’s amazing).

I had already decided to make the 2022 Advent Socks by Natalie Sheldon but thanks to this I now have a second advent project for my very first yarny advent calendar! I decided to make the I Quilt Too blanket since it was too gorgeous to pass up!
My favorite holiday treat is chocolate cherry cookies! Every Christmas my family makes a GIANT collection of all different types of cookies, like sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, mint chocolate cookies, etc. but my favorite have always been chocolate cherry.
This is so helpful to have all of these in one place! thanks Natalie!! My favorite holiday dessert is butterscotch cinnamon rolls that my mom makes every year for Christmas! Kind of a breakfast and kind of a dessert!
Thank you so much for doing this! So many great patterns. This is my first year doing a yarn advent since it was finally in the budget! I hope I can make advent knitting a holiday tradition while I eat my favorite holiday dessert: pumpkin pie!
I love looking at advent projects and dreaming about getting one someday! My favorite dessert is fudge! Chocolate or peanut butter, double decker!
I love seeing all of your knits. Just discovered your podcast this fall and have been watching it obsessively. Love seeing your love of pinks and how you will use multiple skeins of different colour ways in a project.
.
Favourite holiday desert is Christmas pudding. My grandma used to make it when she was alive but since her passing no one’s has made it since. Maybe this is the year I learn how to do it.
Aww thanks! That would be such a sweet way to honor your grandma!
Great video. Thanks for including both crochet and knitting patterns.
Thanks for your work on advents. I love cheese cake any time. Plum pudding with custard for the cooler weather.
I love to make a Cranberrry Bundt cake with a lemon ice drizzle. We enjoy it for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Here it's summer and if you are lucky it will be mid 20's C(70's) or more so my families traditional dessert is Pavlova with Berries. It is also delicious for breakfast on boxing day. I'm working on Helen Stewarts anthology blanket as my advent project with leftovers and a few minis I have purchased over the year.
Wow, you put a ton of time into researching and collecting all of these!! Thank you for that and you chose so many great ideas! Can't wait to look through your bundle. A favorite holiday cookie is Snickerdoodles, but my ultimate favorite might be poppyseed roll. You are awesome!!
Now I want to make all of the patterns 😂
My favorite holiday treat is Æbleskiver. A Danish holiday snack - æbleskiver are small round pancake puffs, that is served with jam and and powdered sugar.
Really inspiring post! Thank you. Our family favorite Christmas treat are gluten free dark chocolate peppermint cookies. They really are amazing. We put a plate out at our front door every day starting after Thanksgiving for all of our many delivery drivers and mail persons.
Favourite holiday dessert ......we only buy macarons at Christmas. Christmas day evening, after UK has had roast turkey at lunch, my house has bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon, followed by macarons. It's the best!! 😃😃😃😃
Thanks, Natalie, for all the work you put into this compilation! I'm debating on whether or not to start an Advent Club at our local yarn shop, and I want to include a couple of fun patterns for the members to choose from. You have given me inspiration and encouragement to get planning. 🥰
