In a early 90' there were massive protests in my city, the police and army on the streets, teargas everywhere, and suddenly this song came blasting from some of the apartment balcony ! The the will never know how many people were singing this song that day !
I was 16 when I first listened to the album 'Soul Mining' on which this song is a track. That was the summer of 1984. I am 50 now and I still remember deeply loving this song and this whole album when I was 16, like you:) P.S. I was at this show in Dublin, Ireland.
I can't imagine how much you've seen and learned in the last 5 years. It's okay to like this music, it's really good music. And even if they don't understand, it's okay. I wish you much love, stranger :)
it will probably be a decade if so before theyre back in ireland, i only discovered them 3mnths ago and love them. All my favourite bands are done performing 'the band', 'balck sabbath' 'the smiths' 'the thrills'
oooooooh no. I live in melb and I've recently got into them. definitely my favourite band atm. shame to hear they were here only 10 mths ago and I missed out
