This is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!
The game everyone loves and loves to tell you about how much they love it. If you've been here for a while you might have noticed we like it quite a bit too. Though usually our playthroughs are some kind of challenge run where we skip all text to get to the gameplay. BUT NOT THIS TIME!
This playthrough is part of our out of order conquest to casually relive all Paper Mario games, together with my co-comm Lenny! Just in time for the remake to get a good feel of what's changed from a more casual perspective!
Like usual; if there's any cool secrets, obscure or funny dialogue and details you know about, be sure to tell us in the comments or on Discord. I know a lot about this game, but I don't know literally everything! Also I might just forget certain things.

Bit of a silly anecdote I had with the Atomic Boo fight. When I first fought them, my audience had all Boos, and Luigi. For the longest time I thought that was always the case and that it was a reference to Luigi’s Mansion and the Boolossus fight. But multiple playthroughs later I realized I was just lucky lol

For the longest time I never knew you could hammer the boos and trigger and atomic boo fight. I always thought they were there forever and you just had to quickly make your way through that room from then on.

It's like Book of Mario, Chapter 4 all over again with the crash.

Admittedly the closest we ever got were Ghosts possessing giant spiders in Luigi mansion 2.
"atomic boo can be affected by gale force"
yes, but its base chance is only 10%, and it's considered a level 52 enemy, so you'd need to be at least level 43 just to get a 1% chance to blow it away with a full bar

Yeah, I never fought Atomic Boo on mt first playthrough either. Honestly not sure how hidden he's supposed to be.
Guys. I just found something amazing. Bowser can ground pound in the 2D segments by pressing A in mid air.
Well there aren't ghost spiders in Mario that I know of, but in Luigi's Mansion 2, there's a boss that is a ghost possessing a spider, so that kinda works!
Both the atomic Boo and the Golden leaf were things I never knew about as a kid. I just thought you had to rush through the steeple.
Only found out about them when I was trying to fill my badge/recipe lists and learned about them online x.x
Yeah at this rate the series isn't ending before the remake comes out lol

Never fought atomic boo as a kid. And as an adult who has never replayed the game (I just lurk on fatguys channel and relive my childhood vicariously through him) I've, in fact never fought him at all.
It would be hilarious if you just went straight from the original to the remake to continue your playthrough when it comes out.

My grandmother's house has a storage basement that is only accessible through a crawl space. It's wider than that, but pretty much as high.
Also, remember to showcase at least once the alternate victory theme if you finish a normal battle with your active party member KO'd!
I wonder if we'll get variations for it too in the remake, since alternate victory themes are confirmed
