The whole point of the clip is that it was on pilotedge, a service that costs money for pilots to fly on with an 18 and up age limit.

Today was my first time flying on VATSIM, I was super nervous talking to ATC but it went good. But if anyone know anything about the Flight Factor 777, it has custom failures. I accidentally forgot to turn this off and had an immediate engine failure on climb. Well the ATC weren't impressed and got mad. It was funny but stressful.
hehe, nice. I have yet to try my first VATSIM flight, too scared...
Oh yeah, that first transition. I had to disconnect, cause the nerves got to me on taxiing. The controllers though. 99% of them are super nice. I had my 6th flight now and it's getting much much better now. I got way more confidence. You just have to go through that initial nervousness. And always have a pen and paper when asking for clearance. 🙂
I’ve just started with vatsim, i got 80 hours now, and I’m actually finally comfortable talking to ATC

Now it's better but for the first call I need to prepare myself for about 10 minutes

Is there a way people can learn how to use VATSIM, standard ATC talk and understand what the controller is asking you etc before entering VATSIM network for real. I bet the controllers get annoyed by people taking really slowly, not understanding what UNICOM is, not responding correctly and people thinking they can fly wherever they want
There should be, how often do I hear people not responding after controller calling them 3 times in a row, or asking them to constantly repeat instructions, I already heard people asking to repeat the whole IFR clearance. And not to mention on unicom people landing at whatever runway they want, when it's so simple to use flightradar.
Hercules that’s why I don’t use VATSIM. I don’t have good memory and reading back IFR clearances is damn near impossible. Cannot write at the speed some controllers talk

@@ge-90aviation There's no such thing as a flight level below a transition altitude, you would just say 4000. But, in all sense flight level 4000 is equivalent to 400,000FT.
