Baymax: The Healthcare Companion [Roller Coaster Design]

- We present to you, Baymax: The Healthcare Companion - a truly innovative ride based on the 2014 film, Big Hero 6. Baymax: The Healthcare Companion is a "winged roller coaster, which introduces elements that have never-before been seen, and acts as the anchor to a full land, modeled after the fictional city and setting of Big Hero 6, San Fransokyo. Baymax's track layout and no track above or below wing coaster design work in tandem to induce the sensation of flying high above the San Fransokyo Skyline!
This is the on-ride POV for my Undergrad Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Project. A lot of engineering design and analyses went into this project far beyond this on-ride video. I want to point out that this was a group effort, with my partner and I both working extremely hard and this project would have never been as awesome as it came out without the hard work and collaboration we both put in. Everyone slept on Big Hero 6, it was such a good movie
Disney would never build this but omg we can only dream. The audio dialogue was spot on haha

That custom audio is class
I can see them making a smaller version of this, it’s a great concept, and the whole thing was so cool it had to have taken so long! But this would cost a ton of money to make the buildings and bridges, though Disney does have it, so we’ll see. I can see the loading station being added but then a normal flying coaster outside with a few theming elements. Though if they did add this it would be so cool!
I also think it would be cool if people could walk around the city around the coaster, maybe that was the idea, but it could be a whole new place for the park. Also adding a few other rides. Big hero six was one of their more successful movies so I could see something like this being made
@@northernbloxburg5462 I think that was their idea but on top of that they could have a pseudo intertwined ride to make the physical footprint more bearable for Disney

I think we can all agree that you need to send this to Disney. This would truly put Disney on the map for thrill rides. Can you imagine Tron light coaster and Baymax: THC.....This would be completely insane and right down Disney Imaginers alley!!!! Phenomenal job! That 180 rotation and launch backwards....WOW! That is an element alone makes this ride and Elite coaster!

That switch to backwards would be insane irl. This ride kills with the hang time I love it! (Also huge bonus points for custom audio, I’m a sucker for that)

I tried that once, suggesting they update Incredicoaster to LSMs and I got an email from their legal department saying they don’t take outside suggestions or ideas. I’ve viewed the company negatively ever since.
And one last thing. Disney NEEDS this AMAZING Big Hero 6 Area to accompany this amazing Coaster you've built!!! Super amazing work on everything in this video!!!

This was EPIC! Storytelling coasters are my favourite, it combines all the theme of of a dark ride with all the thrill of a coaster. This was amazing. Well done 👏🏼
Totally agree. I was blown away by Hagrid's, and am super excited for the new Guardians ride at EPCOT. The future looks bright for these types of coasters.
@@DeLunaThemedDesign absolutely, they’re the best. Escape from Gringotts is another that’s really well done. I haven’t ridden Hagrids yet as haven’t been able to visit for a few years. Disney need to keep up with universal for once!

Reminds me of a park I did in RCT3 of Alcatraz Island, (many moons ago) a complete replica of it, with main ride Escape from Alcatraz; LIM Launch.

This needs to be built somewhere possibly at Disney Studios in Paris the only reason I don’t see it being built is B&M would have to innovate. B&M don’t innovate too often and take time to get things right so I don’t think parts of the ride would be built but that looks amazing.

That's a cool idea! My idea was that it would be the exit gift shop and a walk through attraction showing off the costumes of the different members of Big Hero 6. I like your idea more though!

Imagine how about an concept of a dueling coaster themed to an X wing-B&m wing coaster and a Tie Figher a B&M Invert coaster as a dueling dragons style coaster now that’s a concept! Also this would be such a good idea but unfortunately I don’t think Disney likes building coasters..
I'd absolutely love this to be a real coaster. I doubt Disney would take the idea unless they massively cut it down, it's really long and would cost tons...fantastic job though!
