Love it! Only missed the kids picking up every single thing at the breakfast buffet, only to eat a bite out of each thing and spill cereal all over the table. True story.

And waiting on line for the waffle maker, and then they take one bite or feel sick after eating it. Also waking up early to get to breakfast "on time."
Fighting over who gets to push the button in the elevator or who gets to use the key card to open the door. Pushing the ice dispenser without a bucket. Running up and down the hall. Jumping from bed to bed. Complaining that there's nothing you like at the free breakfast, or loading a plate full and eating none of it. Making a mess of the waffle make our burning food. Begging to buy the overpriced products in the lobby mini-store. Getting water all over the bathroom, but the room doesn't have enough towels to clean the mess and dry everyone after showers so you use the top layer of the bed to dry the floors. Passing with the lights. Finally, having to share a bed with a kid who will inevitably be sleeping perpendicular.

The only thing you guys missed is the sleeping part. Our two kids trying to sleep in the same bed, when they normally don't and taking hours to fall asleep😅
😂 We tried that maybe twice on family trips, before Mom insisted we split it by gender so that my brother & I weren't fighting all night 😂

Woah that’s weird my partners mother wants us all to go to but we live like 45 minutes away and have four cats so we can’t leave them. Hotels are fun though cause that means no laundry or cleaning for me! Hahaha

Being a kid at a hotel looks like a lot of fun. Being an adult at the hotel while the kid is also there looks like the opposite. LOL.
You need to invite the grandparents so the adults can supervise and relax in shifts 😅

@@theadaptationstationmaster my experience, the adults are more annoying than kids. I'd rather listen to Let It Go and their loud chatter, than adults arguing, swearing, loud complaints and porn.

Vacations with kids are miserable yet we get amnesia and do it more. Years later you laugh with your adult kids about how horrible it was with a few glimmers of nice memories and they repeat the cycle with their own kids. 😂

I still second guess myself when I grab one of the free bottles of water from the mini bar because I was told they were going to bill us for a thousand dollars growing up.
Parents claiming the bed closest to the TV. Kids being told to roll over to face away from TV. Running and yelling in halls. Overflowing the ice bucket. Fighting over elevator buttons and key cards. Calling the front desk for a toilet plunger. Riding on the luggage cart. "Don't splash me!" Dad's snoring keeping everybody awake.

Took my kids (12 & 14) to a hotel recently and, while they were well-behaved and calm, the 14-year old comes out of the bathroom and says, "I did everything I could, but the water kept coming out of the shower. I turned the nozzle and tried to angle my body but the floor is soaked." He decided that the shower curtain was supposed to go OUTSIDE the shower and moved it to this preferred location. It was literally fastened to the inside of the tub with magnets, and he moved it outside and then wondered why the floor kept getting wet. So I'm going to add 'not understanding how stuff works' when you're at a hotel. We also had a fire alarm go off every 5 minutes at 5:30 AM because it needed a new battery. Good times.
Oh man, that fire alarm low battery sound is enough to drive the most sane person on earth completely out of their mind.
This is why every child deserves a sibling, in my opinion. We all should have a partner in crime who's at our developmental level. 😂

Mom of seven here. You missed two things. 1) kids playing hopscotch on the hallway carpet based on the carpet design 2) kids saying the pool is too cold 2 minutes after we spent an hour getting ready to go there.

Lots of fun memories for our little fam with three kids in the hotel pool. Always a crowd pleaser. Most memorable hotel stay, our very active youngest son fell off the bed in the middle of the night, split his head open on a night stand, climbed back in bed like nothing happened and fell back asleep. (We were right next to him on another queen bed and heard nothing) Woke up to what looked like a crime scene. Several stitches on the way out of town. Man, I miss my kids being little 😢

When I was a kid the biggest motel (not hotel, we were low rent) thrill was a bed with ‘magic fingers’ where you put a quarter in and the bed kind of shook and massaged you. The ice buckets were pretty cool too.
