Two of my favourite channels working together...RESULT! Well done Ben and Brent, keep these coming. Ben it looks totally different with the edging/barrier removed 👍
If you’re as good at golf as you are at greenkeeping I can see this little series being a gateway for you to get exposure in the wider golf media. Podcasts will interview you, someone with a golf channel will want to come visit and do a vlog on your backyard set up. It could open doors to play some sick places. I don’t even play golf and I’m loving this build.
Youre having the time of your life.. best series so far! I was just talking today to a customer about aeration and gypsum.. some very wet and boggy lawns here! Anyway keep up the top work! Shaun
Yo mate what up welcome to another lawn tip vid, looks like a couple of legends out there working on the lawn, who's the next celebrity to make an appearance?? Get that guy who was a TH-camr but has gone into early retirement @the happy amateur 👍👍👍
I hated cutting the grass when i was a kid.. We lived on a farm, what a fucking nightmare. Oddly enough, this is the one channel i look forward to the most.
Ben, had you considered that applying the wetting agent to a dry surface would yield a better result? The wetting agent is a surfactant, thus reduces the surface tension on the leaf. By applying to a wet leaf, is there a concern that one, the surfactant gets diluted by the water on the leaf, but 2, then drips off the leaf. Thus not present on the leaf for the next time you get dew. - food for thought.
Looking mint! ✨ cool seeing all the work you did pre-seed, and now that the seed is down and grass is growing, everything is moving along nicely. Great job! You’ll be using a wedge/putter before you know it.
Could try a wetting agent on those compacted areas if you feel it’s necessary. Great work man. Gypsum is something we use in the reclamation space on a large scale for the exact same problem you’re dealing with here.
They told us at TAFE to “syringe” it… Which basically meant chuck the sprinklers on for a a minute to wash the dew off the leaf, so you can mow it… Loving this mate 👍🏻
As usual top video. Question I noticed the overlap in some of the video between the two different grasses to be uneven. Will you be cutting this so it’s a more perfect overlap?
Let’s say a fella can’t get to his green every morning to remove dew by whip or mow. What’s your thoughts on a quick spritz with irrigation to knock dew off leaf blades?
I felt tricked at when I didn’t have to convert metric to imperial. Quoted 2-3” and I’m now trained to say “ok how many inches is that…wait, he said inches…
Your doing way to much, simple sand will do the job, or peat just break it apart and throw it on the rye. But other than hitting the bare spots with overseed...which seed doesn't need to be covered to germinate just soil contact, which is sometimes better. But other than that leave it alone and let it mature...I understand your soil was crap but it wasn't needed to be honest.
Mate its like building, theres always 10 different ways of doing things, each way not incorrect. I always cover seed, yes you can throw it on top of soil but it floats around in wind/rain..birds etc..pretty sure he knows what hes doing hes a greenskeeper
How embarrassing that I had my hat on backwards half the way through this 😂😂😂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ Thanks for telling me Ben
Anytime mate 😂
Great work mate!
😂 fun seeing you on Ben's channel again.

He's literally like 5 comments down from yours lol

Peter Finch already mentioned him in his Podcast, he's definitely getting attention because of how Pro he takes it all. Legend!
Love the hoodie Brenton.
Made me feel at home.
Nice Ben Simms!!!👌👌👌
Already looking better than my local course!
Got to love the free labour
Absolutely love seeing you two blokes doing colabs. Best video I've seen in a while. Cheers lads

This was the only time I've enjoyed aeration
I lived on a golf course from 85' to 94'. Cool stuff.
I hated cutting the grass when i was a kid.. We lived on a farm, what a fucking nightmare. Oddly enough, this is the one channel i look forward to the most.
Great update Ben! One of your best 👍

Phenomenal growth! Great work 👍👌
keep up the hard work! looking great

Whats up, welcome to another fairway tip vid

😂 that’s exactly what you ended up doing. Great minds think alike.
At the golf course I worked we would drag a long hose over the greens to remove dew sometimes
Looking really good. Well done with all the hard work.
🎉 it’s looking mint.
Taking shape nicely mate!!
thanksagain... love the midweek update!
Last Aussie 😁

Loving this mate 👍🏻
yes. that helps knock the dew off.
Love the colab! 👍🏻
Easy to control if you have room to turn it. I used that machine on my small yard. Never again. Took me 2 weeks to recover. 😢
Haven't watched it yet but I liked it anyway because I know I will 🤣👌
As usual top video. Question I noticed the overlap in some of the video between the two different grasses to be uneven. Will you be cutting this so it’s a more perfect overlap?
Awesome job mate!
Someone probably mentioned this already but use the “ dew whip/ rope pull” to remove dew off the grass.
Hey, wouldn't mind a sprinkler cam. Just for the OCD stoner. peace out love your work.
You are killing it! Such amazing work. How mature do bentgrass greens need to be before you start grooming/verticutting them?
Those plugs look just like my soil and you're probably 10,000 miles from me lol.
Winter is coming!
Awesomeness again ❤
Let’s say a fella can’t get to his green every morning to remove dew by whip or mow. What’s your thoughts on a quick spritz with irrigation to knock dew off leaf blades?
You definitely can mate! Sometimes the dew just forms again back down here when I’ve tried that haha. Depends on the season
You need a dew broom/whip my bro
yo mate I have a question. Does rolling the green ruin the aeration in the sand? Or does sand not work like that?
Sand breaths a lot more than clay etc due to the courser profile. Not really a problem
Q. are you worried using the same mover on verges and green of bringing some unwanted seeds on to the green via blades or roller?
I’d imagine he’ll mow it often enough to not worry about seed heads and transfer
Thoughts on planting the boundary out with pines to reduce your road noise and create a wind break?
Not a bad idea at all
Running out of time for sure poplar trees are changing color in the back of the pond. Also Kik update pls?
BK the legend!
I felt tricked at when I didn’t have to convert metric to imperial. Quoted 2-3” and I’m now trained to say “ok how many inches is that…wait, he said inches…
Why not let your irrigation knock the dew down in morning?
Is there a new channel starting? B&B Grass?
Do you record your own music for the vids? The funk is always so good! Otherwise that’s the grooviest stock music
Did The Aussie Lawn get all of his inspiration from you?
Was that a sneaky F Bomb?
Why not blow cores instead of rake them off ?
The rye is a little too long and they get caught up in it. Would work well on the green
Isn’t the idea of wetting agent to help liquids stick to leaves and not run off?
There are different types of surfactants. Wetting agents work a little different to a sticker. Similar though
Weird that youtube has given me a notification that this video was uploaded 17 hours ago???
That’s very odd?
Weeds bro before they flower and seed
2 maybe 3 inches? mate, that's an internet 7
Thats 4 inches surely 🤣 #stuffitellthewife

Hey mate, it’s more for levels at this point as well 👍🏽
Whilst it’s growing I might as well adjust levels with sand
Glad to see you giving Ben a hard time also, haha!

👍🏼🇦🇺
If you need an apprentice let me know.
Yes.. that top dressing material you used had way too much clay in it. Do not use that or you will have problems.
schmick as bro
Dude what’s with the 70’s porn music 10min mark 😂
Just 2 blokes enjoying some lawn haha
Your dog has made a huge mess!
Love me some @theaussielawn
