Just purchased one, what an amazing project! Thank you
Such a clean layout of the PCB. Very nicely done!
Wonderful! I especially love the LED's on the pins for troubleshooting.
Pretty cool, Bart! Thanks for your efforts on this. I am converting a machine this weekend from Linux CNC to FluidNC.
Great - I have just purchased one -- looking forward working with this and FluidNC!
Great. Check out the wiki and join our discord if you have any qeustions
Wow. And I thought LinuxCNC made it easy to build or convert a CNC machine. This has the elegant simplicity and high value utility of every Dring design. Best wishes for a successful product.
did not understand shit of linuxCNC and how its supposed to be expanded, HAL files
Ordered. Thanks!
Je viens de l achetée merci à toi ces parfait
Looking good.
Great work Bart! Ordered this board to replace my 3-axis DLC. I also just finished building the M5 based pendant. I designed and printed a case that fit my needs that I'll probably push up to my Thingiverse account. I'm a software engineer, so if you need any help with coding... 😉
Shipped it today. Join our Discord to follow the development.
good bye mach3 ! welcome fluidnc! ;)
ja, did the same .... did anyone find a working 5 axis machine somewhere ?? or am i doing something new
am currently dokng the same, dod anyone find a 5 axis machine yet ??? or am i doing something new ??
Nice
great pcb ,fluid now support esp32-s3 yet, best.
Nice board my only question how can i best slave Y-axis with A-axis the best and simple way. Thanks in advance Jeff
Read the wiki about ganged motors.
Great board, great design. I would like to buy one, but it's out of stock. Will it be available soon?
Greetings.
It is in stock at Elecrow and will be in stock at Tindie in about 2 weeks.
Hi Bart, I would like to purchase one of these but they are out of stock the couple of places I found it. Do you know where I could buy it or what other parts would I need to replicate its functionality? Also, do you know of a good resource to help a beginner understand cnc control, etc. I want to build a small cnc that will host both a roouter/spidle and a leser engraver. Thank you. Charles
They should be in stock again in about 10 days at Elecrow.
Hi Barton. I have a few questions for you. I'm currently building a CNC plotter for my client, and although I'm an engineer, I have no experience with CNC machines at all. Right now, I'm looking for a controller, and I know I can do it with Mach, Linux CNC, but your Fluid project and your controller intrigued me because I'm looking for something simple. Hence a few questions: Does the license allow the use of your hardware/software in commercial equipment? Are these solutions stable enough for a machine running daily for 8 hours? The machine is supposed to have 3 axes, Nema 34 motors, a 6kw Hiteco spindle, plus limit switches. Does your controller support Ethernet via cable, or just USB for wired connection? And do you generally think your solutions are suitable for such a commercial machine?
Everything we have produced is 100% open source without any commercial restrictions. Please see our wiki for most of your other questions. wiki.fluidnc.com. Join our Discord server if you have more questions.
what is the maxinum speed of the step pulses with all 6 axies running?
Generally you can expect about 100-125Khz. It is more about the length of the step pulses than processor speed.

Can it do mesh bed leveling like the 3D printer controllers? I am really interested! I would like to use it on a PCB CnC that I am going to build, but must have mesh bed leveling.
There are some gcode senders that do leveling. This will work with them.
Research some senders to find one you like.
@@engserve
I am not sure what you mean by "sender". Could you give me an example? I have been thinking about using Duet3D as I use it when I build any 3d printer. And it does mesh leveling. But I am not sure what you mean by sender.

It's a sixpack still right?
Very similar, but no plug in modules. A bit less flexible, but a lot cheaper.
sir can it support encoder for rigid tapping or CNC lathe threading?
The firmware does not support that.
do you have an emil please i want toshow you a problem im having loading fluidnc onto a esp32, an australian guy been helping me biut no joy at all

it's possible to use 3D prob ? any documentation ?
You can any of the inputs for a probe, like the openbuilds 3d probe.

hello,
I bought this board ,I connected it with the usb port ,but nothing happens ?
You must have main power connected for anything to work including the USB. Please see this wiki page about the power and ask please ask future support questions via our Discord server (link on wiki).

Does it support G83 drilling and peck Command
No. The list of supported gcode is here. wiki.fluidnc.com/en/features/supported_gcodes Most modern CAM programs create their own peck cycles with more basic gcode.
Hallo, I have an problem your original board not recognize by setup wizard, i buy it as original. Wat is the problem.
Please reach out to me on Discord for support. See the wiki for an invitation if you are not on our Discord yet.
very cool. are all of the discrete inputs isolated? maybe using opto-isolators? i've had trouble with that on my shapeoko2 when they weren't.
It has optos on all the inputs. This helps protect the processor from noise and spikes. The optos are not fully electrically isolated though. There is no secondary isolated power supply.
Does this have the drivers built in, sorry for the nube question, and if not can I use the gecko g540?
It does not have drivers on the board. It is designed for external stepper drivers. It can work with the g540.
@@engserve thanks, and what is your drivers option? Need 6 axis
@@lylefranksaunders2113 All the controller options are listed here. The 6 Pack might be what you want.
@@engserve Driver options, not controllers
@@lylefranksaunders2113 I don't know of any 6 axis external drivers. Some have multiple like the g540 and the MX3660, but most people use single axis drivers.
Just sorry to ur website says you don't send to South Africa, why not?
Use the Elecrow link. They do all my international shipping
