sometimes the river is too strong

Trying to drive upstream rapids of a small river with Kaboat with no success. Exstreamly warm weather had melted snow in high mountains and it was felt in the river as high water, waves and strong current. Always at a criticall moment my propeller lost its grip on the water and I had to give up after four tries.

In the white water there is a lot of air mixing with the water (bubbles) so your propeller is in water but also in the air and there's nothing to push against in the air , thus no grip or maybe 50% grip.
Boats can sink in white water because of bubbles they lose some of their buoyancy.

Two reasons your kaboat failed to get through the whitewater are 1. Heavy load on the kaboat, and 2. Your outboard motor is not powerful to push against the strong rapid. A lighter weight load and the powerful outboard motor will get through the whitewater.
