"Immune to bullet damage" Holy crap, this explains why I battled one non-stop for 30 minutes in my Starling. The enemy griefer was terrible with it, but no matter how many good clean shots I got on him, he would never even start smoking. I thought they nerfed the damage of non-explosive airplane cannons because of this. Thank you for clarifying. As for the jet griefer - he never got me, and eventually crashed into a hill while trying to outmaneuver me somehow lol
The bullet damage bug is only for the body of the plane you can destroy them with (starling) MGs in 5-10 seconds if you just roast the nose, which you should be doing anyway in hopes for a pilot kill.
@@TheCnicus in normal circumstances, you should aim for the body of an aircraft, because you’ll land more shots and your aim should go from tail to nose. However, if you wanted to be efficient and did dives, hitting the pilot would be the way to go. But for dogfighting, aim for the body and keep it on the HUD. Aim for the Flaps and engine.
@@jeaton1224 if your aircraft has Mgs and you aren't good at hitting pilots directly this is very true. It does slow it down just not enough to where it matters in a dogfight. It's much like the b11 where it takes forever and if you aren't patient u end up just shutting it off but it's butter point is right before their
Kinda unfortunate that you never showed the Raiju‘s most powerful weapon in a dogfight. Its enormous speed combined with its toggleable stealth allows you to simply fly away upon first contact with your enemy at the speed of a missile until they loose sight of you before coming around for a pass with your machine gun. Doing that a few times basically ensures a kill. It’s essentially the first the first aircraft in GTAO that can effectively utilise interceptor style doctrine rather than fighter style doctrine.
Yea but that playstyle is toxic and reminiscent of pre-nerf passive popping with lazers why promote something terrible for the health of freemode. We should be encouraging new players/Raiju pilots to learn proper dogfighting instead of fearing every merge and playing like a snake which ultimately just slows the game down and kills the fun for everyone else.
I used it to hunt other Raiju in stealth mode. You can see their lights flashing even though they’re in stealth mode, so it’s still easy to find them and kill them if they can’t find your lights flashing first.
Feels nostalgic in a way when ghillie makes a in depth guide series for a pvp aircraft that contributes in the meta change, I remember watching his starling and b11 in depth guides and they feel like many years ago
@@fupoflapo2386it’s been doing that for like 5+ years, I think it’s hysterical seeing how many people came back just to fly this plane as if it’s something worthy of taking a year of development time from a billion dollar studio
I feel like Ghillie as an Og player remembers the Eject kill era of gta when you could use jets and other weaponised vehicles in passive, I think that the Raiju could and most likely will "reincarnate" the eject kill era, especially as it has the stealth feature, and after ejecting the Raiju goes fairly straight before starting to spin around just like the hydra works (main vehicle used in the eject kill era) unlike the lazer starting to spin nearly immediately. I've already gotten a few eject kills as they are extremely funny to get in my opinion.
@@hummerguy Yea it can be kind of weird first but it's extremely easy as the jet is really fast and can easily catch up to other jets/planes and even if you miss the plane doesn't get destroyed when hitting the ground like Ghillie explained and showed in the video.
@NiceShootinTex of course you can still get eject kills on people on ground fairly easily but there isn't much you can do against a jet or another vehicle while in passive, well of course you can use the besra or helicopters but it's a bit harder as the besra and most helicopters are slower than a lazer or hydra I think.
I think the bullet and fall damage will stay in the game, similar to the bulletproof window on the Half-Track, everyone thought that was a bug but it’s stayed in the game ever since the release
Another thing is, after this jet has been added I've been combat merged far fewer times than before the update. Since lazers and hydras always die, but the raiju has a chance to survive a combat merge with its armor.
Merges are a much more satisfying way of dogfighting now because of the nerf on the jets, now you need a decent skill set and a bit of luck to win fights with the Lazer and Hydra. And if I'm not mistaken the B11 is the new king of merges now because of the extra + missile barrage
@@pedinhu18 The problem is that as far as I've seen fighting B-11s once you hit their tail which is one of their most visible weak spots thus easiest to hit it becomes unflyable
@@pedinhu18 oh the A-10 shoots 8 barrage missiles now instead of 7? I had no clue. I have noticed merges last longer in general, until a random hits you with “I can’t fly” rounds.
3:58 the jet is based on an f35 with f22 wings. Both are stealth fighters but the f35 is the vtol one. Both planes have gau turrets in the intake vents on either side of the fuselage. So as for immersion breaking; it’s quite the opposite
as a person who has been dogfighting since 2013 it’s very nice to see it start picking back up. The hydra has always been my go to bc of vtol which is super effective against really everything but lazers.. but like you said a proper pilot who utilizes vtol effectively with the raiju is untouchable. It’s such a hard skill to learn but so rewarding when done correctly.

I think stealth mode may be bugged in some way, because I think since the Drug Wars update I have had a problem where I would activate stealth mode on the Akula and it would put away the weapons, but not put me in stealth mode. I would end up having to re-activate stealth mode a couple of times for it to actually take effect.
Kind of a shitty thing but what I do to avoid that completely is when I leave the hangar or get in it I wait for the weapons bay to open and then I activate stealth or else it just takes you out of stealth regardless
Old bug. You go stealth mode and then wait for the weapons to pop back out in a minute and then when you go stealth mode the cross hair will disappear and the map icon will blink
With this Jet being so good I really hope ground to air AA like the aa turret get a few buffs It'd be sick for the AA turret to have a lock-on jammer so it can actually be used, or maybe even a trophy system where looking at a rocket for a second marks it to be countered, since they have the aim ability to do it and bullets do interact with rockets iirc
B-11 was my go to before the raiju. I find them incredibly easy to take out now with the raiju now. Come in from above in stealth mode and strafe with the mg’s. If I miss I just pop back into stealth mode and fly away until they forget about me and then come back and do the same thing
@@jadenhalstead7290 I tend to stick high with the B11. Easy to see the Raiju coming that way and start turning to get behind it. As they come zooming by on the merge, I can turn much quicker and get on their tail. They then almost always go stealth. However, going stealth is fine, but if you know to use the camera it doesn't make that much difference. Having said all that, I don't think I've come across a really decent pilot yet.
@@AlexK2967 yea as long as you stay high with a b-11 and are on the lookout for raiju you will be able to see them coming and engage pretty easy. Only problem is then you’re kind of stuck at high altitude and and can’t do anything on the ground
I love how it works now with ejection and not blowing up on impact sometimes I accidentally eject if I bump the controller unintentionally this is like a second chance feature it’s really good
I’d say it’s one of the best ease of access aircraft so far. Aside from the sparrow which you can call in basically anywhere and it goes like 165+ mph, I’ve been loving using the raiju so far
the air to ground with the Raiju is actually insane if used correctly, if your in the city then there is a whole lot of cover with all the buildings which you can use to your advantage so the person your fighting can’t hit you with a rocket or rail gun. Just get close to a building so it is hard to hit you then prefire with the MG so they rag doll and finish them off with a missile (this should be done in VTOL mode), uversuspro explains it better in his video about the raiju. if you’re in an open area with the raiju such as sandy shores or the air port, then what you should do is gain a reasonable amount of altitude in normal mode then you kinda need to do a backflip with it and switch to VTOL mode, this will make the jet way slower and you have way more control then just locate your target and shoot them with a missile, it is really affective and way better explanation is on UVP’s channel so you can see how it works and what it looks like
Against the oppressor mk2 your best bet is making yourself vulnerable and let them waste their missiles, once their out their vulnerable and you have your opening to attack, they usually run and when they do fire a missile to bait their circle dodge and halfway through send your second, if they turn out of the circle normally they get slammed by the second
When it comes to dogfighting in the Raiju, it can take on any jet and win. You just have to be really good at maneuvering and have good situational awareness. A trick I like to do is 'Offset the circle'. Basically, in dogfights there are 2 types of fighting. 1-Circle, and 2-Circle. 1-Circle is a nose-to-nose fight, while a 2-Circle is a nose-to-tail fight. Typically, GTA pilots use pitch and only one rudder to turn. This means that if both pilots are just using one rudder, the one with the better turn rate will win. Offsetting the circle helps prevent that, and can even turn the tide in some cases. It's typically used in a 2-Circle fight. All you have to do is alternate between both rudders. For example, let's say you merge into a 2-Circle dogfight with a B-11. Obviously it will out-rate you, so if you are turning left and using right left to turn faster, instead, use the right rudder to gain altitude, then swap back to using the left rudder to gain energy and speed. Then you can roll the plane slightly to try gain a bit more speed. Same goes for turning right. Left rudder to gain altitude, right rudder to gain speed and energy. Doing this repeatedly could get you behind them, or even lead to you reversing the turn and catching them by surprise. It is best to leave the engine in idle (not holding accelerate) and tap the breaks every now and then, as the Raiju is an absolute speed demon. Edit: I do this trick every dogfight and it has never failed me. The only reason I would lose would be because the enemy would catch me by surprise, or in other words... lack of situational awareness. And just being cocky.
3:41 Figured as much. Had a guy shooting at me when I was in my B11 and didn't know he was shooting at me until I seen the damage magically appear on my plane. Fortunately for me though, he wasn't very good at dogfighting and died shortly after I had noticed.
The Raiju falling out of the sky by itself and taking 0 damage is so amazing. Got into a dogfight with a modder the other day without realizing he was a modder until I was laying into his jet with the cannons for a solid minute of contact. Just pressed F when I felt like there was no point in fighting anymore and skydived all the way down. Was expecting MMI claim but it never showed up, I check the map and there's my jet, almost all the way back at the airport 😂 (also i found against mk2 just fly in a circle with a slight downward spiral, you'll outrun all the missiles. When the mk2 runs out, VTOL and turn on it)
2:23 an internet relative of mine has a theory that it clips through the ground outside of your vision range and respawns on the ground when reaching the bottom of the world
I'm pretty sure that the Raiju is made as a STEALTH FIGHTER. Meaning it's not really a bug but more a design choice. The Raiju can use a stealth mode, which makes you disappear from the radar, and is great for a speedy escape. I can see this as the lazer-killer.
Ah, glorious powercreep. This explained some things that I was unsure about when fighting them. This video also confirmed that the one guy I did fight with a Raiju was indeed cheating. He took somewhere in the realm of 15 explosive sniper shots and suffered no damage, which under normal conditions is impossible. Really wish you would have discussed stealth more, since that is the most interesting feature.
doing the "VTOL divebomb" is definitely the best way to fight anything that isn't another jet, you get a lot of time to shoot them with the MGs, and they can hardly ever do anything back.
The bit about invisible bullets coming from hostile jets is super interesting, and good to know. Another thing that I've noticed that can catch you is the inability to get out of the jet when badly damaged. Not sure if it's exclusive to this jet. There have been a few a few times where I've won dogfights but died because I couldn't eject when my burning jet finally went down 😅
It’s definitely dependent. I’ve been flying the lazer forever and moved to the raiju recently, and I’ve noticed it incredibly much. Every time your jet starts flaming your ejection seat goes bye bye
Flying has become anxiety inducing… you never know if these are in a lobby or not. Definitely keeps your head on a swivel. Probably the most OP vehicle in the game.
The Raiju is overpowered in the BEST WAY possible. It can’t be used for dumb thoughtless griefing like the old lazer or the mk2. But it can be used to annihilate npcs in the freemode missions. In the right hands, it can annihilate other Jets and players on foot. Keywords: in the right hands!!! The super high skill cap required to accurately use this thing for air to ground combat means most players won’t be able to kill you or spawn trap you by any means. Only the few players who master this jet (Canuck in combat) are going to be serious threat to others players in freemode, and frankly, they deserve it. If you’re gonna go through the trouble of learning how to use vtol for air to air and air to ground combat, you deserve to use that power. Unlike the old lazer griefers who hardly had to aim or control their speed, a raiju master will be rare to see in any lobby. It will take a long time but I can’t wait to be one of those few
My best counter has been ground-to-air with a Mk2 + Explosive Rounds. The Raiju's strafe isn't as effective as the LAZER's and the lock-on missile speed is too slow to catch the Mk2. I won a 5v1 (Raijus vs Mk2) by downing 1 pilot, then dominating him ground-to-ground to carefully bait the other 4 out of stealth. Soon, they were down and I was up! ;)
For those trying to get the Raiju in the LSA mission, before blowing up the AA turret, shot the green frame of the rocket pods beside it so it doesn't EVISCERATE the Raiju
This video was great!! I'm particularly interested in all the movements it brings to the table with VTO mode - It's so good! Everything about it makes it the perfect vehicle to move, fight and don't be bothered by anyone, I actually use it as my personal car now Lands easily, takes off immediately, increibly fast, stealth mode, more durable... and let's be honest, it looks sick 11/10
A couple of other things I’ve noticed about the Raiju: - The rear of the plane seems to resemble the Su-75 with its tail and engine positioning, more than the YF-23 even though I’ve seen a lot of people say it looks like it. However the tail has a built in rudder whereas the YF-23 & Su-75 control pitch and yaw with the same ailerons. - The missile model is the regular RPG when it is shot, even though the missiles in the weapons bay are AMRAAMS (I’m guessing). - The jet also has bombs in the internal bay, but they cannot be used whatsoever.
I noticed the bombs too. I was so annoyed they used the R-77-M FOX-3 (Fire and Forget, Long Range Active Radar Missiles) bay for the FOX-2 (heatseekers). They SHOULD be on the side. And you are correct, it appears to be based on the SU-75 Checkmate, but I am not sure if the Checkmate has VTOL or STOL IRL.
One thing you didn't mention but could be huge in pvp is using the stealth mode to approach someone from behind and get a first strike off. With the speed and being off the radar I can see this being a griefers best friend for taking out people doing sales, or in PvP just sneaking up on someone.
i wish savage had the same bullet resistance as raiju, i feel really pissed off when an npc helicopter makes my savage smoke just because that .22 that is fired from that shtty police rifle can actually damage a huge cold war ussr helicopter
One way you can try to take out MK2s with the Raiju is to get really close behind them and pop out of stealth mode and launch your missiles and hit them before they have time to react and dodge them. It's a little tricky and it's not very repeatable but it can work.
i love the in-depth guide to this jet, this jet reminds me of the ace combat northern wings jet, exclusive to the final mission, and the design of that jet is exactly like that raiju, its a mix of a F-35B lightning and the YF-23 Blackwidow and i love both the f35 and yf23 and the trailer of the jet is shown in black which is a nod to the yf-23 as theres 2 made in the world, white and black as theyre prototypes and made to be faster than a raptor but not fast as the f-15 eagle (depends on the variants) anyways, i rather like to nick name this jet the YF-35B Black Lightning ii or (Dark Matter)
raiju is really fun to use, only thing to beware of is if you land too hard your landing gear flies off. I was flying in formation and did a quick land-takeoff thing because it was cool and my landing gear flew off and hit my friend in another raiju, it got under his plane and knocked him into a nearby hangar and killed hkm.
I actually disagree Ghillie. The Raiju is one of the easiest Jets to kill ground targerts. Did you forget that you can go off the Radar at any time? You can pop in on someone get off Radar kill them then put it back on. This Jet is NUTS!!!
@@GhillieMasterActually it does. It doesn't have the same limitations as the Akula because it can easily outrun missiles and it's immune to small arms weapons fire. Also have you seen UversusPro's video on this yet? He basically said the same thing that I noticed with this thing. You can use vtol mode upside down and tilt the nose in a down to kill enemies directly below you with ease if tilt the tail slightly up towards the sky

You usually know more than me so I might be a little off. But one thing is for sure is that ... Especially harder to track when in the city. Or at night.
@@morganyu812 Even in stealth mode though the jet makes a much louder sound than a helicopter does. So it’ll be harder to sneak up on people. Not saying it’s impossible. But I don’t see the jet lasting very long if someone has the Railgun or E Rounds

The Raiju is literally just the hydra if it snorted a line of coke, which I love, it's a masterpiece and an amazing take on one of my favorite jets, which I always use for literally anything being the hydra, not to mention it's the perfect jet for skilled pilots to really shine
A tip while dogfighting in the Raiju, if you struggle to get behind your target go into stealth mode and fly high up, then divebomb and hit them with explosive mg or missiles
10 years into this game and I still don't know why no one has datamined the game to know exactly how damage is calculated among other things. Super good video tho
I have had such a blast with this craft I can’t even begin to explain, it makes me so happy to fly again without oppressor grief bringers and General oppressor spam, plus for me, this aircraft I just love since it’s inspired by the f35B made jointly between the us and uk with the vtol systems being jointly designed. outside of that I find it great for surprising oppressor grievers in boom and zoom type tactics, especially if you miss and you have a friend following you not too far behind to follow up. hell even did a bunch of that vtol tricks in dog fights and honestly I barely died, only being effed up by some lucky explosive snipers a couple times
I just got mine today! It is truly a game-changer! The cannon needs a rate of fire buff, even if they get rid of the explosive capabilities. I understand that they're trying to keep things balanced rather than realistic, but the rate of fire is way too slow for me to believe this is the most advanced fighter jet ever built. However... I have a new favorite. ;)
It’s overpowered. I was selling various garbage trucks of drugs and this guy was using stealth mode to approach me, used vtol mode and killed all trucks instantly and went off. I hit his jet with a railgun shot but it didn’t blow up as you need 2. I mean how the hell are you competing with that when selling
The raiju is surprisingly good for cargo grinding. LSIA to Sandy and back again in less than 5 minutes is huge. Some days I only run the raiju for cargo and I can do $300k in less than a GTA day no sweat. I don't bother with stealth because it's too fast to react to on the ground.
be careful of rogues, they’re one the scariest planes to come across when in a raiju. this is coming from a raiju pilot and a rogue pilot. an experienced rogue pilot will find ways to stall and get behind you. and if that doesn’t work, it will out turn you and get behind you. if you try and dive bomb, it will maneuver out of your cross hair. if you decide to go under it, it will drop bombs on you. experienced prop plane pilots are so underrated it’s scary, be careful of dudes who fly those. they’re either the best pilots you’ve seen or the friendliest
Here's a little trick you can do against other Raijus: If you are going at a slower speed, so much that the rocket can hit you, and you are horizantal, you can enter V-tol mode and head straight up. The rockets will most times go under the plane, but it's a risky trick to do. Cause' then you will be somewhat easier to hit, especially with the cannons. It still mostly happens when there's only one rocket coming at you
not sure about the claim that its the new fastest, maybe theres a but to it with hanger-vs-called in or its tied to fps somehow because on pc me and some friends have seen it seems to be slower than the pyro, more on par with the rogue? then losing out to the rogue in hard dives. speaking of, I think the rogue might now just be the better plane since it has a lot in common with the new jet but gets bombs, and the raijus VTOL can be worked around with the rogues ridiculous landing gear air braking. I do think the stealth will be more of a game changer in pvp anywhere the terrain can play a role in blocking direct sight. dip behind a building, activate stealth, shoot straight in to the sky or dip in to VTOL and drop and youre gone.
Another thing I think is useful to know: if you want to land as quickly as possible, just point at the ground at full speed and, when you’re two or three airplane lengths to the ground, use vtol mode and pull up at the last moment. You’ll be inches to the ground and almost stationary.

Feels nostalgic in a way when ghillie makes a in depth guide series for a pvp aircraft that contributes in the meta change, I remember watching his starling and b11 in depth guides and they feel like many years ago
Well, because it has indeed been many years. The B-11 is from Summer 2018, and the Smuggler planes are from 2017.
Too bad the game is killing itself
@@fupoflapo2386it’s been doing that for like 5+ years, I think it’s hysterical seeing how many people came back just to fly this plane as if it’s something worthy of taking a year of development time from a billion dollar studio
@@Youllpayforthat that's why I haven't played the game for a year and a half.
Dude, I kind of miss going for ejects, I'm definitely going to start doing it with the raiju now
@@hummerguy Yea it can be kind of weird first but it's extremely easy as the jet is really fast and can easily catch up to other jets/planes and even if you miss the plane doesn't get destroyed when hitting the ground like Ghillie explained and showed in the video.
I think the bullet and fall damage will stay in the game, similar to the bulletproof window on the Half-Track, everyone thought that was a bug but it’s stayed in the game ever since the release
knowing rockstar the silent bullets are here to stay too
lazy coding innit
The raiju seems to have exceptionally high terrain damage resistance which is why it could survive that fall from the sky limit
Yeah most air vehicles are weak as shit and explode the second they hit the smallest thing. Raiju is almost as tough as B11

Another thing is, after this jet has been added I've been combat merged far fewer times than before the update. Since lazers and hydras always die, but the raiju has a chance to survive a combat merge with its armor.
The nerf to Hydra and Laser explosive MG’s helps your survival time a TON. Unless they ram you before you can ditch into that rate fight.
Merges are a much more satisfying way of dogfighting now because of the nerf on the jets, now you need a decent skill set and a bit of luck to win fights with the Lazer and Hydra.
And if I'm not mistaken the B11 is the new king of merges now because of the extra + missile barrage
@@pedinhu18 can confirm. I've only been able to shake good B11 pilots with VTOL maneuvers so far.
@@pedinhu18 The problem is that as far as I've seen fighting B-11s once you hit their tail which is one of their most visible weak spots thus easiest to hit it becomes unflyable

@morganyu812 and where is the problem
3:58 the jet is based on an f35 with f22 wings. Both are stealth fighters but the f35 is the vtol one. Both planes have gau turrets in the intake vents on either side of the fuselage. So as for immersion breaking; it’s quite the opposite
If the cannons were supposed to be silent, why do you hear the cannons as the pilot?
as a person who has been dogfighting since 2013 it’s very nice to see it start picking back up. The hydra has always been my go to bc of vtol which is super effective against really everything but lazers.. but like you said a proper pilot who utilizes vtol effectively with the raiju is untouchable. I think stealth mode may be bugged in some way, because I think since the Drug Wars update I have had a problem where I would activate stealth mode on the Akula and it would put away the weapons, but not put me in stealth mode. I would end up having to re-activate stealth mode a couple of times for it to actually take effect.
yeah I noticed that too
A way how to tell your in stealth mode is to look at your player icon on the map. If its flashing it means your in stealth mode.
Kind of a shitty thing but what I do to avoid that completely is when I leave the hangar or get in it I wait for the weapons bay to open and then I activate stealth or else it just takes you out of stealth regardless
This is definitely a bug with stealth aircraft
Old bug. You go stealth mode and then wait for the weapons to pop back out in a minute and then when you go stealth mode the cross hair will disappear and the map icon will blink
With this Jet being so good I really hope ground to air AA like the aa turret get a few buffs
It'd be sick for the AA turret to have a lock-on jammer so it can actually be used, or maybe even a trophy system where looking at a rocket for a second marks it to be countered, since they have the aim ability to do it and bullets do interact with rockets iirc
I've been having a really easy time beating Raiju pilots with the B-11. In fact, it's become my new go-to when I want to take one down.
B-11 was my go to before the raiju. I find them incredibly easy to take out now with the raiju now. Come in from above in stealth mode and strafe with the mg’s. If I miss I just pop back into stealth mode and fly away until they forget about me and then come back and do the same thing
I use Raiju to beat Raiju :P

The avenger has been my go for fun when I don't want to use jets. Especially the missiles and cannons have been a fun change to air/air/ground fights
Most OP vehicle
I’d say it’s one of the best ease of access aircraft so far. Aside from the sparrow which you can call in basically anywhere and it goes like 165+ mph, I’ve been loving using the raiju so far
the air to ground with the Raiju is actually insane if used correctly, if your in the city then there is a whole lot of cover with all the buildings which you can use to your advantage so the person your fighting can’t hit you with a rocket or rail gun. Just get close to a building so it is hard to hit you then prefire with the MG so they rag doll and finish them off with a missile (this should be done in VTOL mode), uversuspro explains it better in his video about the raiju. if you’re in an open area with the raiju such as sandy shores or the air port, then what you should do is gain a reasonable amount of altitude in normal mode then you kinda need to do a backflip with it and switch to VTOL mode, this will make the jet way slower and you have way more control then just locate your target and shoot them with a missile, it is really affective and way better explanation is on UVP’s channel so you can see how it works and what it looks like
Hey I was trying to tell him
I knew the raiju was advanced, but being impervious to bullets and adding stealth bullets was really what sold me
Against the oppressor mk2 your best bet is making yourself vulnerable and let them waste their missiles, once their out their vulnerable and you have your opening to attack, they usually run and when they do fire a missile to bait their circle dodge and halfway through send your second, if they turn out of the circle normally they get slammed by the second
Love the Ace Combat music, very fitting!
Been waiting on this ! I just love the stealth mode ! Flying up on people out of nowhere feeling like maverick lol

Pretty sure when it dies in one rocket is because they hit the engine like when you shoot the rear propeller on the helicopter or most of em
2:23 an internet relative of mine has a theory that it clips through the ground outside of your vision range and respawns on the ground when reaching the bottom of the world
That would make sense, hence the instant rotation it aircraft had, as well as it being on a marked path/road
I also noticed when flying full speed going into vtol mode you slow down by A LOT so that's helpful making landings
I'm pretty sure that the Raiju is made as a STEALTH FIGHTER. Meaning it's not really a bug but more a design choice.
The Raiju can use a stealth mode, which makes you disappear from the radar, and is great for a speedy escape. I can see this as the lazer-killer.
It’s the everything killer lmao. It’s a shame too since if you’re even somewhat competent with the VTOL then nothing puts up a fight against it.
I haven't even watched the whole video but from my testing and just common sense. The Raiju is the 2nd most OP vehicle in the game!! Thanks Cock*!
Lol
doing the "VTOL divebomb" is definitely the best way to fight anything that isn't another jet, you get a lot of time to shoot them with the MGs, and they can hardly ever do anything back.
Isso é bem parecido com a forma como você usa o scramjet, rsrs.
This is a very similar way you use the scramjet rsrs.
If you add the glitched livery, then set the colors accordingly, you can create the su57 felon color scheme. Looks really good.
Exactly what I did the second I started customizing it lol
Everything about it makes it the perfect vehicle to move, fight and don't be bothered by anyone, I actually use it as my personal car now
Lands easily, takes off immediately, increibly fast, stealth mode, more durable... and let's be honest, it looks sick 11/10
Stealth mode in the Akula hasn't hidden cargo for a long time. That's not newly broken. Ghost Organization is (currently) the only way.
3:51 maybe the F-35 is just automatically equipped with sub-sonic stealth rounds as well as a muzzle brake or suppressor 😂
A couple of other things I’ve noticed about the Raiju:
- The rear of the plane seems to resemble the Su-75 with its tail and engine positioning, more than the YF-23 even though I’ve seen a lot of people say it looks like it.

One way you can try to take out MK2s with the Raiju is to get really close behind them and pop out of stealth mode and launch your missiles and hit them before they have time to react and dodge them. It's a little tricky and it's not very repeatable but it can work.
Thanks for all that work, Ghillie!
i love the in-depth guide to this jet, this jet reminds me of the ace combat northern wings jet, exclusive to the final mission, and the design of that jet is exactly like that raiju, its a mix of a F-35B lightning and the YF-23 Blackwidow and i love both the f35 and yf23 and the trailer of the jet is shown in black which is a nod to the yf-23 as theres 2 made in the world, white and black as theyre prototypes and made to be faster than a raptor but not fast as the f-15 eagle (depends on the variants) anyways, i rather like to nick name this jet the YF-35B Black Lightning ii or (Dark Matter)

raiju is really fun to use, only thing to beware of is if you land too hard your landing gear flies off.

If you are in regular flight and lower ur wheels it slows down a bit, great for dogfights and etc
However... I have a new favorite. ;)
All jets that have explosive cannons have been nerfed to the same rate of fire, so doubt it will be buffed

That ace combat danger zone remix hits the nail on the head
be careful of rogues, they’re one the scariest planes to come across when in a raiju. this is coming from a raiju pilot and a rogue pilot. an experienced rogue pilot will find ways to stall and get behind you. and if that doesn’t work, it will out turn you and get behind you. if you try and dive bomb, it will maneuver out of your cross hair. if you decide to go under it, it will drop bombs on you. experienced prop plane pilots are so underrated it’s scary, be careful of dudes who fly those. they’re either the best pilots you’ve seen or the friendliest

Being able to be fast is what is the most fun about for me.
Here's a little trick you can do against other Raijus:
If you are going at a slower speed, so much that the rocket can hit you, and you are horizantal, you can enter V-tol mode and head straight up. The rockets will most times go under the plane, but it's a risky trick to do. Cause' then you will be somewhat easier to hit, especially with the cannons.
It still mostly happens when there's only one rocket coming at you
Good video Mr Ghillie.
not sure about the claim that its the new fastest, maybe theres a but to it with hanger-vs-called in or its tied to fps somehow because on pc me and some friends have seen it seems to be slower than the pyro, more on par with the rogue? then losing out to the rogue in hard dives.
speaking of, I think the rogue might now just be the better plane since it has a lot in common with the new jet but gets bombs, and the raijus VTOL can be worked around with the rogues ridiculous landing gear air braking. I do think the stealth will be more of a game changer in pvp anywhere the terrain can play a role in blocking direct sight. dip behind a building, activate stealth, shoot straight in to the sky or dip in to VTOL and drop and youre gone.
As long as you know where it is you can easily out maneuver the raiju in the Seabreeze but you have to watch for that vtol mid fight
Another thing the Raiju has is that the stealth mode can reduce your wanted level to 2 stars if it's 3 or higher.
