It looks like the speech problems started as early as 2011, but was nowhere as bad as it would get. You could already see the early signs of his dementia though. A lot of ummmmms before he would speak and his searching for words. The signs were there.

To be fair even I go ummmm whilst speaking whilst trying to search for my words and I'm only 30! Ha
