Most listened song in 2023, and i still cannot get enough of this song. Everything in this song is charming, even the video is mysterious. I sincerely love this song and obsessed with it.
The use of Valarie and Her Week Of Wonders as a theme was so well done in the context for the meaning of the lyrics in the song! This was such a well shot video! How is this band not talked about more??!
This is the definition of good indie music. I love witnessing them explore their sound with this song and Wall Watcher. Really growing into a band after that great EP. Loved you at Beach Goth!
Lead singer is tall, beautiful, feminine, and "real". Bob Dylan makes a comeback. Fire. Grim Reaper. Leggings. Sparkles. Wings. Motorcycles. Shaggy blonde hair. Jangling guitars and soft-spoken vocals. All shot on vintage film. This has been stuck in my head for 2 weeks straight. Feels like I'm listening to it for the first time every time.
There is something inherently perfect about this song and video. The jangly guitar. The fall setting. I can't pinpoint it. Perhaps it is the combination of so many wonderful things. Thank you for this unique combination of sound, video, and atmosphere... I'm going to watch it again.
I heard this song for the firs time last night on my first date. It was like a movie scene. He said to stop being nervous so i said "Easier said than done" before that lyric even was even sung. It was really awesome.
Everybody in this band rocks. Mad props to the guitar player, he fills things up beautifully with a georgous but very revealling ultraclean guitar sound
Long Island trio Sunflower Bean perfect the melodic guitar-pop formula with their glistening single, "Easier Said". It's our new Vevo UK TRACK OF THE WEEK.
But I was wrong on the New Romantic line (apparently that describe the kind of new wave in the american eyes), I was thinking that was the description for Johnny Marr like guitar that you hear from many different bands these days, by DIIV and Wild Nothing (Both Brooklyn affiliated like Sun Flower Bean) But those are american bands taking shoegaze, dreampop and okay New Wave? Then again New Wave as a genre was used to describe American bands like the Velvet Underground. But yeah, MTV changed that definition as it was only UK artists that made videos and they needed something to describe the next wave of punk.
sunflower bean has lots of sounds. this song sounds new wave to me...like flock of seagulls. but other songs sound like psychedelic 70 sounds...when i saw them some parts of songs sounded like black sabbath. how would you describe the wonderful band Wolf Alice? there's another complex sounding band.
I was listening to Rhye - Open when this song was recommended via and advert by Vivo. I have to say, I haven't stopped listening to it, and it's been 24 hours since it was first advertised to me.
You try hard to see but I am on the outside Give me one more chance to see that I'm in the right mind Act so tough, make it cool Don't be afraid to see It through But I'm not scared to take the blame It's not your fault and that's okay [Chorus] Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time [Verse Trying to run but I can't when it's in my head Should have just stayed home when I'd rather be alone instead You're getting old, so act your age It isn't fun to make the same mistakes Give it up, it's getting late Make those words, I'm not afraid [Chorus] Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. I am so blessed to be able to watch this from the safety of my home. Be thankful, this is truly amazing.
I saw them in a suburb of Pittsburgh the other day. You'd think they would be above a place like that, but they played a great show and stayed after to sign autographs and stuff. A great bunch of kids. I hope they get the success they deserve.
I'm really digging this trend of newer bands looking and sounding like older ones; when the comments section is filled with "This reminds me of so-and-so" and "Oh, that looks just like (insert timeless musician of your choosing)", you know the band is doing it right.
Kinda sounds like a mix of Blondie and the Cranberries... which is an awesome mix. Hell, Julia Cumming's voice is soothing like Debbie Harry's and it has that Dolores O'Riordan edge to it.
I saw them live last night as a prep opening band for Cage the Elephant and omg I'm in love!! Both of the singers were so cute they immediately stopped playing when somebody passed out to make sure the person was okay. Definitely a new favorite band!
You try hard to see but I am on the outside Give me one more chance to see that I'm in the right mind Act so tough, make it cool Don't be afraid to see It through But I'm not scared to take the blame It's not your fault and that's okay Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Trying to run but I can't when it's in my head Should have just stayed home when I'd rather be alone instead You're getting old, so act your age It isn't fun to make the same mistakes Give it up, it's getting late Make those words, I'm not afraid Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time

Sunflower Bean has become one of my favorite bands today. I really want to see what direction they are going to take in the next albums and I look forward to them. *Many kisses from Brazil* 🇧🇷 ❤
What a refreshing sound it reminds me very much of Sixpence None the Richer, 10,000 Maniacs and the Sundays . Beautiful vocals and wonderful composition Sunflower Bean is some amazing stuff.
The honesty and freedom in the way she moves along with the movement in their sound catches fire to my soul...much like the one in the video. This song captures the feeling of release and truth. Well done guys - you have a sacred magic about you that’s other worldly. Without a doubt my new favorite band.
check out "i was a fool", it is another good song of theirs. Crisis Fest isn't very good compared to this one and i was a fool, but it is okay, the video is kinda fun.

Love the tone and colours of the vid. I could imagine this song being played by that hipster DJ from the local bar on that one night a week he plays stuff
Just saw you guys This Friday.I wanted to buy a CD and shirt but i had to go before your set was done.I was walking by while you were playing and literally stopped in my tracks because of how good you guys were!
Most listened song in 2023, and i still cannot get enough of this song. Everything in this song is charming, even the video is mysterious. I sincerely love this song and obsessed with it.
it total banger; is true
I agree Alfa
Most hipster shit I've ever seen. Added to music playlist.
first time hearing this band and I love it
The use of Valarie and Her Week Of Wonders as a theme was so well done in the context for the meaning of the lyrics in the song! This was such a well shot video! How is this band not talked about more??!
This is the song that made me a fan of sunflower bean 3 years ago and it will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

This song is the reason Sunflower Bean is one of my favorite bands. I would love to see them live as soon as this pandemic stuff is over.
The way she dances lol cute
This song has one of the best guitar tracks of all time. Perfect
"You're getting old
So act your age
It isn't fun
To make the same mistakes"
What a great songwrittin ❤
This is the definition of good indie music. I love witnessing them explore their sound with this song and Wall Watcher. Really growing into a band after that great EP.
Loved you at Beach Goth!
This is too perfect! I totally love the imagery and film used for this. Totally different from the other videos. Keep the iconic style guys.
Nathan Stark bidding you ever watch the American horror story where they are all witches ... Reminds me of that
Nathan Stark a
Lead singer is tall, beautiful, feminine, and "real".
Saw them open for Cage the Elephant and Portugal. The Man. Awesome!

shutup richard
Music is a little cure like
R.E.M.
@@nathanahrens6415 yeah I can hear that a little
Jangly is such a great word for it. A very cool vibe.
So that's where Phoebe Bridgers got her look from.
She can't come close to this songwriting and guitar playing, this is top shelf.
Hace dos años que conocí a esta banda maravillosa con esta iconica canción, ❤
Dreamy and chill, by far one of the best tunes I heard last year.
she looks like a cross between grimes and scarlett johansson also i really dig this!! 💖
+Inayah Hussain THANK YOU!!!
+Inayah Hussain she looks like Grimes.
+Inayah Hussain If Scarlett Johansson never got her nose job.
yes I tottally think so
+Todd Boden the girl is a super talented musician and you're only noticing her fucking nose? you're a dipshit, sorry.
I see a strong "Valerie and Her Week of Wonders" influence, visually
The perfect song for a High School movie ending
I heard this song for the firs time last night on my first date. It was like a movie scene. He said to stop being nervous so i said "Easier said than done" before that lyric even was even sung. It was really awesome.
Proof that good music is still being made! Love it✌
Everybody in this band rocks. Mad props to the guitar player, he fills things up beautifully with a georgous but very revealling ultraclean guitar sound
Still giving me goosebumps...her voice...the guitar... ruthless rhythm.
Long Island trio Sunflower Bean perfect the melodic guitar-pop formula with their glistening single, "Easier Said". It's our new Vevo UK TRACK OF THE WEEK.
+Vevo UK this sounds like 1980's new wave. i love sunflower bean. very cool sounds.
+miked4309 Dunno sounds like New Romantics to me, but I guess it depends on how wide you define New Wave.
*****
I thought they were largely UK references I was thinking of but okay, which region again?
But I was wrong on the New Romantic line (apparently that describe the kind of new wave in the american eyes), I was thinking that was the description for Johnny Marr like guitar that you hear from many different bands these days, by DIIV and Wild Nothing (Both Brooklyn affiliated like Sun Flower Bean) But those are american bands taking shoegaze, dreampop and okay New Wave? how would you describe the wonderful band Wolf Alice? there's another complex sounding band.
wtf? are they time travelers? this sounds so classic 90's even the video is. Great music, gives me hope.
it's about 80s actually
This is very much so not a 90s sound. It sounds like early-mid 80s British indie and new wave.
Too jangly to be 90's. Very 80's.
It's nice to run into artists that still believe in the old ways of music. There ain't nothin' but the old ways.
I was listening to Rhye - Open when this song was recommended via and advert by Vivo. I have to say, I haven't stopped listening to it, and it's been 24 hours since it was first advertised to me.
Cannot get enough of this song... intoxicating! Dug deeper, there is some serious depth with these guys, great catalog for a youngish band!
Heard this playing today in background at a Japanese cafe on a Twitch stream....
Still love it
You try hard to see but I am on the outside
Give me one more chance to see that I'm in the right mind
Act so tough, make it cool
Don't be afraid to see It through
But I'm not scared to take the blame
It's not your fault and that's okay
[Chorus]
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
[Verse
Trying to run but I can't when it's in my head
Should have just stayed home when I'd rather be alone instead
You're getting old, so act your age
It isn't fun to make the same mistakes
Give it up, it's getting late
Make those words, I'm not afraid
[Chorus]
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Thanks ;-)
the song and video give off an old vibe almost nostalgic like something from the 80's I love it
+Marc Rodriguez exactly my first thought! Looks like an 80s obscure new wave band's video.
genres are timeless! There will always be bands continuing a genre, just gotta find them!
Nuyi Saolvie Makes me think of 90's shoegazing music videos.
very early 90's, the seed of that is in 80's dream pop and Sarah Records stuff (which this is more like)
Nuyi Saolvie same to me , this is why we are best friends .
Most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. I am so blessed to be able to watch this from the safety of my home. Be thankful, this is truly amazing.
please don’t eat her, gator
I love this song so much, i cant stop listening to it
Her dance moves 😍
FINALLY 1 MILLION, THE BAND DESERVES
I saw them in a suburb of Pittsburgh the other day. You'd think they would be above a place like that, but they played a great show and stayed after to sign autographs and stuff. A great bunch of kids. I hope they get the success they deserve.
I don't know why, this makes me feel so good.
I'm really digging this trend of newer bands looking and sounding like older ones; when the comments section is filled with "This reminds me of so-and-so" and "Oh, that looks just like (insert timeless musician of your choosing)", you know the band is doing it right.
Mainstream music may have gone down the toilet but indy music is better than ever and these guys are the cream of the crop
Everything about this song is just so beautiful
They sound like a mid to late 80s band. Love it.
This track specifically is reminiscent of Young Turks by Rod Stewart.
Till Tuesday
This band is special. Great video of a great song.
She really does have that sullen-sexy look down. And fantastic harmonies during the chorus.
Julia is so amazing
me encanta la guitarra!!!
the opening part where she swings her head back and forth is mesmerizing love this song and group
reminds me of some 80s song!
I think that it is a 80s song
+undead catz this is actually a recent song from a rather new band (sunflower beam)
Sunflower Bean is new
Tell us what song is hahah
Tudo receber a lot of late 70's
I love "Sunflower Bean"!!...Cheers all the way!!...One of my favourite bands!!...Plus i love the Music video...Great combination, right??...
Perfect combination of Diiv and Fleetwood Mac in sound.
Cool song. Love the retro style video. And she's so cute!
Thank you Snapchat for showing me this band. They are so good
Agreed, I found out the same way ha
same here
Same
same ah ah
Ce genre de mélodie peut ouvrir une porte dans l'espace-temps...
Kinda sounds like a mix of Blondie and the Cranberries... which is an awesome mix.
Hell, Julia Cumming's voice is soothing like Debbie Harry's and it has that Dolores O'Riordan edge to it.
So true 👌
I would have said the other way round Dolores soothing lilt and Debbie's edge.
You alright Patrick Bateman?
r/beetlejuicing
Exactly what I was thinking
I saw them live last night as a prep opening band for Cage the Elephant and omg I'm in love!! Both of the singers were so cute they immediately stopped playing when somebody passed out to make sure the person was okay. Definitely a new favorite band!
I miss the time when they sang that kind of music
Me too
omg her dance moves are just to cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You try hard to see but I am on the outside
Give me one more chance to see that I'm in the right mind
Act so tough, make it cool
Don't be afraid to see It through
But I'm not scared to take the blame
It's not your fault and that's okay
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Trying to run but I can't when it's in my head
Should have just stayed home when I'd rather be alone instead
You're getting old, so act your age
It isn't fun to make the same mistakes
Give it up, it's getting late
Make those words, I'm not afraid
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done, I heard you right the first time
Thank you!
Beautiful 😢
Love the video. I don't know why but it reminds me of home
Perhaps a harbinger of another era of great music to come. (Hopefully) :)
It reminds me of Camera Obscura...!! Nice job Sunflower Bean. LOVED IT!!!
I love this one, definitely
You try hard to see but I'm lying
On the outside
Give me one last chance to see it
I'm in the right mind
Act so tough, make you prove
Don't be afraid to see it through
And I'm not scared to take your place
It's not your fault, emancipate
Easier said than done
I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done
I heard you right the first time
Trying to ride by our cabin
It's in my head
Should have just stayed home when I'd rather
Be alone instead
You're getting old
So act your age
It isn't fun
To make the same mistakes
So give it up, it's getting late
Make those moves
I'm not afraid
Easier said than done
I heard you right the first time
Easier said than done
I heard you right the first time
love this song, the way she dancing is so perfect. I'm in love
Omg, amo mucho está canción, me trae recuerdos muy lindos y a la vez muy tristes, 🗝️❣️🎶

Yeah this is my fav song and fav video of theirs. Completely obsessed. My fav.
Great song, and I greatly appreciate the ‘Valerie and Her Week of Wonders’ imagery. 👍
This seems like a fever dream.
Keep coming back to this song...love all their work, but still the one I pull up first...
I absolutely love this song, but it's so different to their other songs. I think this is the only one I like to be honest
check out "i was a fool", it is another good song of theirs. Crisis Fest isn't very good compared to this one and i was a fool, but it is okay, the video is kinda fun.
