Last week I also drove up the Stelvio Pass for the first time, and it was impressive, a long-awaited dream came true for me, I also made a video... it was just incredible these turns, drove the same route... thank you for this great video
Thank you for your very kind comment! I am happy you enjoy the video. I am surprised how many views we got on this one. We usually get about 20 views per video :-)
Love this video! When were you there? Did you stay at Frazenshoe? My wife and I were there on 8 July through 11 July. We think we saw you there! I climbed Stelvio 10 July about 60% of the way and finished 11 July , then back down. My wife graciously drove the car up and down and up and down for support! I shot GoPro and I am still editing all of it! Your editing, with Go Pro, 360 and drone is truly outstanding! Kudos!
Thank you for your kind words. We were there on June 28th. We spent the weekend in Bolzano and did this as a day trip. Thank you for your compliments about the editing. There is so much to learn! I have only started this video hobby this year. Bit of a time eater. Oh well. I shall look out for your video. Cheers, K + J P.S. Your wife sounds super! :-) by the way.
A very minor detail: "bombing down to Müstair" is actualy footage from italy 🙂 And please do me a favour next time: on the bottom of the downhill DON'T stay on the road to Glurns. Instead turn left to Mals. From there you have beautiful, dedicatet bikelanes until Prato. Nicer and a lot less dangerous than the main road, where cars pass you with speeds up to 120 km/h. It is just too risky and it feels bad too!
Very good tip, thank you! We used the bike lanes last time when we started from Mals, and it was indeed lovely. However, on the day of the video there was barely any traffic and we just couldn't be asked to deviate from the quickest road to the supermarket :-). Normally, like you, I prefer the bike lane for sure! See you on the road!

Amazing video. How long did you ride from bottom to top?
For the Strava segment, Passo Stelvio, the "moving time" was 2:48:33, so no KOM. We did stop a couple of times - just to take in the scenery!
👍
the top is on 2758m
the top is on 2758m not on 2705m
you are right! Thank you. I will correct it immediately.
