I was JUST there 2 weeks ago! Stayed at the Vitalhotel. I arrived early so I drove up to Gosausee. It was also a cloudy day as your visit was, but it was so beautiful.
My expectations of it were low, but WOW! IMHO, It is a very close rival to Lago Di Brasie.
I enjoyed the lake more than I did Hallstatt.
