Nick is awesome! When I heard he died I Couldn't believe it, he was just so young and so normal. No conditions or anything like that. He personally was my favorite Megadeth drummer. That whole era was just cool records. Especially on their cover album when he just kept laying down the beat after Paranoid. Also ironic and sadly funny he had a heart attack in a venue called the Baked Potato.

Josh Stephens Hanging out with the fans doesn't mean he's down to earth. I'll tell you an example. Joey de Maio from Manowar (a band that i hate) has done everything for his fans but he is the total opposite of a down to earth guy.
I really think Dave get's the shit end of the stick when it comes to publicity a lot, you only usually here when he makes an off color comment, but you never hear about interviews like this where he's genuinely open and honest, letting people get to know him, even though he's a written a book about all of this, and letting the interviewer get personal with him, just to appease fans, i think Dave's a great guy who just get's a bad wrap, thank you for the many years of great music and dedication to fans, Dave it's does not go unappreciated.

Right I look at Megadeth and Metallica as brother bands, Megadeth is the younger brother of Metallica and they fight like brothers and they get along like brothers. I've met Dave. He's a really honest guy, very down to earth. Seeing him here, he's losing his voice. He was very soft spoken when I met him, but his speaking voice has really changed. He speaks his mind in interviews, but in person, he was one of the nicest big named musicians I've ever met. Dimebag Darrell still holds the record for coolest musician I've ever met(hung out with).

I really enjoyed both parts of this interview. Dave Mustaine could be the biggest asshole sometimes but he has such a high level of self awareness and you just can't ignore that no matter what, the man keeps it real. You can sense just by the way he talks and explains things that he's pretty much seen it all.

A lot of people take dave the wrong way, once he's relaxed and talking to a person, one on one basis, he's a nice down to earth bloke, he speaks his mind, sometimes very blunt with people, he's one of those people who likes to talk to a person on the same level, bowing down and worshiping him as some sort of god is one thing that anoys him, he used to take advantage of the "boot lickers"! And talk dow to them, but hes grown alot as a person since the 90's. I hope i get another chance to chat with him again in my lifetime as he's got alot to say and good stories to tell. All the best.

I've been fighting with my doctors over problems with my left hand for a few years now and I'm having basically the same problem Dave Mustaine has even down to feeling that same part of my hand. I thoroughly enjoyed this, Loudwire, nice work! I'm also really surprised by the lack of shitty comments on an interview with Dave. People usually have to start that "Metallica is way better" bullshit, or else talk shit about him for becoming a Christian, and its nice to not see much of that. Dave is a genuinely good guy these days. I must admit that when I first learned of it I was shocked to find out he's a Christian, and that he's conservative. However, I actually have to respect his faith because he's not a dogmatic fundamentalist, he's the kind of guy who actually tries to emulate the example of Christ, and feels like he genuinely has a connection with the divine, and I honestly envy that, I wish I could feel that. Furthermore, with the way the regressives are trying to turn the left to authoritarianism I find myself agreeing more, and more with conservatives every day. I really like Dave a lot. I had the chance to meet him once casually, and he was really friendly, and he talked to me for about 20 minutes since I was the only one who recognized him, and I ended up asking him for advice on a personal issue. A lot of people take dave the wrong way, once he's relaxed and talking to a person, one on one basis, he's a nice down to earth bloke, he speaks his mind, sometimes very blunt with people, he's one of those people who likes to talk to a person on the same level, bowing down and worshiping him as some sort of god is one thing that anoys him, he used to take advantage of the "boot lickers"! And talk dow to them, but hes grown alot as a person since the 90's. I hope i get another chance to chat with him again in my lifetime as he's got alot to say and good stories to tell. All the best.
Wow, I'm really glad I watched this video. I've been fighting with my doctors over problems with my left hand for a few years now and I'm having basically the same problem Dave Mustaine has even down to feeling that same part of my hand. My left hand is wasting away. Now I actually have something to call this problem and I know what to tell the next doctor AND that a TENS unit could help. Thanks Dave Mustaine! Seriously.

Dave, do you remember playing in New Zealand, 1991-92 . The Band did a meet and greet in a record shop on Queen street in Aucland. I rocked up with a drawing I did of Vic Rattlehead. The band signed it. Marty, Nic, Dave and finally you. When it came to your turn to apply your signature you said I couldnt do that. It was a copywrite issue. I told you to just sign it. You did. I thoroughly enjoyed this, Loudwire, nice work! I'm also really surprised by the lack of shitty comments on an interview with Dave. People usually have to start that "Metallica is way better" bullshit, or else talk shit about him for becoming a Christian, and its nice to not see much of that. Dave is a genuinely good guy these days. I must admit that when I first learned of it I was shocked to find out he's a Christian, and that he's conservative. However, I actually have to respect his faith because he's not a dogmatic fundamentalist, he's the kind of guy who actually tries to emulate the example of Christ, and feels like he genuinely has a connection with the divine, and I honestly envy that, I wish I could feel that. Furthermore, with the way the regressives are trying to turn the left to authoritarianism I find myself agreeing more, and more with conservatives every day. I really like Dave a lot. I had the chance to meet him once casually, and he was really friendly, and he talked to me for about 20 minutes since I was the only one who recognized him, and I ended up asking him for advice on a personal issue. He's an awesome guy, he's really intelligent, and he has a really great lease on life that kind of rubs off on you. Thanks for a great interview, Dave, and Loudwire!
