What an amazing band...you know you're awesome when your Fandom starts crossing generations. I just might be ADTR's oldest fan. I'm 45 and was indoctrinated by my kids, We've been taking our daughter (now 21 ) to their concerts since she was in JR High. She's been to every concert they have played in Texas. My son in High School started listening about a year ago and is also huge a fan. Even though their songs have been background noise in my house for almost a decade, I never really listened to them until now...all I can say is Wow! .Every CD is literally a masterpiece. The next time they are in DFW looks like Dads buying 3 tickets to the concert.
+Scott Cornatzer Hahaha! I am 56 and my son turned me on to these guys last week. It's got the melodic flavor of old Hawthorne Heights and I like it. OTOH, I also like some of ICPs stuff from the late 1990s.
This is awesome! You sound like a great parent. You let your kids blast it loud and helped them see their band. In turn you discovered some great. This is an amazing example of what an open mind can bring. \m/
Okay, so I’ve done this two times in a row. Was listening to I’m Made Of Wax Larry What Are You Made Of and someone commented on the choke slam and I read it as I saw it happen and now this comment
I've listened to this band religiously since "For those who have heart", and I just might have to say that this is my favourite ADTR song. There's just something so emotional about the bridge that makes me tear up every-time. Most influential band in my life for me.
My favourite is Right back at it again. As for most influential band, i'd say Fall Out Boy is mine. They've changed my style of both clothing and music XD
2:58 is the epitome of what passion is all about in the music industry. EVERY band who does this in their music showcases their pure genuine talent with such an impact
As a true fan of ADTR, I could easily say that this is the best song they have ever made. I love literally every single one of their other songs, but this is definitely the best one.
Best song on the album. This one gets the nod for number 1 not only because it sounds awesome, but more so because it carries such power when delivering the message. Pure emotion. I love it.
I can't even fccking hear the lyrics. I don't know if it is a ME roblem or THE SINGER problem, but I just hear disjointed words outside the chorus. It's why I prefer fan-vids that feature lyrics as written letters.
This album just shows that when you don't have record company constricting your music to how THEY want it, you get a absolute gem of a record. Rock on guys, Ill support you any day of the week
Does anyone else get emotional and empowered at the same tine when they listen to this song? It just feels like, you've done so much shit for everyone else and it's time that you do something for yourself.
"I reserve my right to feel uncomfortable Reserve my right to be afraid I make mistakes and I am humbled every step of the way I want to be a better person, I wanna know the master plan Cast your stones, cast your judgment You don't make me who I am" Will get this tattoed.
I remember being 16 (Now 22), feeling lonely and sad, very depressed. Somehow, listening to the song today comforts me and hugs my inner child telling her that everything will be fine. I hope that you too have left the pain behind
Sometimes...the pain is the part that makes us...well...us. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have to live anymore. But I will always love the people that believed within me. :’) ...Thank you...my Rangers...
I see a lot of people talking about the ending chorus, which is fucking amazing but what about "God help those who help themselves, and forget about everyone else. You lost your nerve, you missed the point. God help those with open hands, may they never feel burden again. Yeah I'll stand up for those who can't. I'll close the distance." I am seriously thinking of adding that onto my Adtr Tat I already have. God I feel those lyrics so much.
I love that part too but wouldn't consider tatting it just cause I don't believe in God, well I am unsure of my religion, but love that part anyway, sounds very meaningful!
awesome. I'm thinking about getting the homesick album art done on arm (see link that follows) reversed to the picture so that when i have my arm down at my side it is right side up. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/43/06/1a/43061ab7b35276f2b4912a9f0ff2797d.jpg
I discovered ADTR back in 2010 during an especially emotional time of my life and it wouldn't be the same if I hadn't. I bought all the albums and kept up with the two releases since then. Few bands manage to strike the same rhythm and character in the songs like they do. Thank you for the amazing music that's kept me up the last five years.
I reserve my right to feel uncomfortable, reserve my right to be afraid. I'll make mistakes and I am humbled every step of the way. I want to be a better person, I wanna know the master plan- cast your stones, cast your judgement; you don't make me who I am.
"I Reserve my right to feel unconfortable, reserve my right to be afraid I make mistakes and I am humbled every step of the way I want to be a better person, I wanna know the master plan Cast your stones, Cast your judgements, you don't make me who I am" I simply love this song
I've been listening to this song everyday for the past few months it's truly helped me be able to survive. thank you, thank you so much for these words, i've never had a band be able to put into words exactly what i feel it's as though know me on a soul level. thank you adtr
2:55 the switch to deep, calmer music is really interesting. The lyrics hit hard. This is going to sound weird, but bear with me. For some reason this section brings to mind some sort of fantasy hero giving a speech before their final battle.
To be honest at 0:24 I was not expecting this to get heavy as fucking ass. A Day To Remember is so fucking good. I love them man. They're so passionate about their music they make and they can pull multiple genres so well. Favorite band right now
I feel like this is the best ADTR song to show to someone who hasn't heard of them. It covers the widest range of their sound, with a pop punk, catchy chorus, a metalcore inspired set of verses, and a soft interlude that's reminiscent of their softer stuff, with an ending that puts it all together.
+WOOOOOO! It reminds me of how powerful the line "I'll make my stand right here with my friends" was to me back when A plot to bomb the panhandle first dropped.

+Eric Orozco me too this song has made me feel, well me...finally i feel like i can be me and no one else thank you A Day To Remember, i love you peeps!
I have been listening to these guys for yrs and have all they're albums and I got to say, ADTR & DofA are by far my favorite bands. These guys are staying true to who they really are. Not to mention they are amazing in concert.
It feels like this album just came out yesterday. Man, I can't tell you how much this album helped me through some of the worst times in my life. It's hard to believe it's been over 7 years now, where has the time gone?
This is my favorite song. I listen to it all the time. These lyrics are so meaningful, nothing feels better than screaming the last half of the song. Love you guys
I think it's their best album yet. I feel like the whole album is really heavy. Not in terms of sound ( although the heavy sounding tracks are amazing ), but in content. The lyrics to all the songs really hit home.
The very last moment of this song, the last fuckin 30 seconds, has to be the lyrical peak of ADTR. "God help those who help themselves, and forget about everyone else. You lost your nerve, you missed the point. God help those with open hands, may they never feel burden again. Yeah I'll stand up for those who can’t. I'll close the distance" DAMN Goosebumps every time. Well fucking done! One of ADTRs best songs. Period.
The meaning of the lyrics for this song is so amazing. I was utterly shivering when jeremy said "You don't make me who I am". Amazing song for an outstanding album :D
I came from nothing, leaving hope in my wake. Such a strong lyric that can be interrupted in so many ways. I take it that: You can influence others with your good choices… leaving them hope in your wake. Damn good job dudes!
Most bands will play at your funeral if you die in combat when I die I have over 70 musicians legally obligated to play at my funeral so you might hear it live if ISIS kills me but they haven't yet happy hunting
I used to feel such a connection with ADTR because they sang about everything I was going through at the time. Now, 15 years later I'm married, have a great profession and have kids. I wish they could make a few songs of us all growing up and at least a smaller few having everything go right.
This is the most powerful song that been dropped in forever and i feel it in my soul. You do the most amazing work lately and it is appreciated infinatly. Prople need this message in their lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
I reserve my right to feel uncomfortable reserve my right to be afraid. I make mistakes and I am humbled every step of the way. I want to be a better person. I wanna know the master plan. Cast your stones, cast your judgement, you don't make me who I am.
This is easily my favorite song by ADTR. It's helped me through so many important/tough points in my life. Every single lyric is meaningful and dripping with emotion and truth. I can't thank them enough for writing this masterpiece it's seriously helped my life for the better, and I don't know where I'd be without it.
when you play this song in someone elses car, and they never heard this song, at the intro.. they look at you like, wtf is this shit? once it kicks in their like, mmhhh alright fair enough,
This is one of my favorite songs by these guys! I don't know about anyone else but I can relate almost all their songs to my life. Friggen love these guys.
"I reserve my right to feel uncomfortable reserve my right to be afraid I make mistakes and I am humbled every step of the way I want to be a better person. I wanna know the master plan Cast your stones, cast your judgement, you don't make me who I am God help those who help themselves, and forget about everyone else You lost your nerve, you missed the point God help those with open hands, may they never feel burden again Yeah I'll stand up for those who can't I'll close the distance"
The ending of this song always gives me intense chills and makes me tear up, it's beautiful.
Konvict v3 it makes me hard
One of the beautiful things about music is its power to evoke so many ranges of emotion
"Cast your stones, cast your judgement, you don't make me who I am"
Wow. Chills every time. Words to live by...
Great part. I'm a big fan of the 'I make mistakes and I humbled, every step of the way. I want to be a better person. I want to know the master plan."
It made me cry because it was so true :D
pretty sure its scripture from the bible idk if they believe or what but from growing up in a Christian home I go straight to that
Casting stones is probably the only thing directly biblical there

You wanna take, take, take, take, take it away from me (take it away from me)
You can't wait, wait, wait, wait, wait till I'm stumbling
Go get carried away
Go!
And the fears sets in, in an instant
Too much of myself gets exposed
This is where I go at my weakest,
When I don't have to be scared to tell the truth
Tend to do my best when everything goes wrong
That's why sad songs make me happy, 'cause I don't have to feel alone
You wanna take, take, take, take, take it away from me (take it away from me)
You can't wait, wait, wait, wait, wait till I'm stumbling
No, you've got me wrong
Oh the nights are long with no one else around
You wanna take, take, take, take, take it away from me
Go get carried away
It's never what you've done, it's what you've done lately
Who cares what you're saying, if no ones listening
You don't have to like me, but you're gonna respect me
I that came from nothing, leave hope in my wake
I got no regrets, but have my days with doubt
To those left in sadness I'll be the one to lead you out
You wanna take, take, take, take, take it away from me (take it away from me)
You can't wait, wait, wait, wait, wait till I'm stumbling
No, you've got me wrong
Oh the nights are long with no one else around

I have to listen to this song at least once a day. It puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Someday I will finally see ADTR live.
I'll close the distance"
DAMN
Goosebumps every time.
Well fucking done! One of ADTRs best songs. Period.
2:58 to 3:24 speaks volumes to me..... would have to be the best song on the album in my opinion
Agree 100%.
The meaning of the lyrics for this song is so amazing. I was utterly shivering when jeremy said "You don't make me who I am". Amazing song for an outstanding album :D
This song is just perfect. The lyrics are incredible and meaningful. It's so relatable and just gives me a good feeling everytime i hear it
I came from nothing, leaving hope in my wake. Such a strong lyric that can be interrupted in so many ways. I take it that: You can influence others with your good choices… leaving them hope in your wake. Damn good job dudes!
Best on the record. I really hope they start playing this live.
they played it live at their last 3 shows.
Yup, they've been playing it the last couple years. It gets me so pumped!
They peformed this at STL. They said it was their first time in a couple years
I saw them just after STL in San Antonio and they played it. So fucking good.
Most bands will play at your funeral if you die in combat when I die I have over 70 musicians legally obligated to play at my funeral so you might hear it live if ISIS kills me but they haven't yet happy hunting
"Cast your stones, cast your judgement. You don't make me who I am" Best lyrics in any song i've heard.
I used to feel such a connection with ADTR because they sang about everything I was going through at the time. Now, 15 years later I'm married, have a great profession and have kids. I wish they could make a few songs of us all growing up and at least a smaller few having everything go right.
Mindereader by then is new and happy about being married.
This is by far the best song on this album.
Freaking love this album! I've been a fan of ADTR since Homesick and all of their albums have been just amazing. Love this band
Damn
+Kappa lyrics to the song...
my favorite part tbh. even tho the whole song in its entirety is great
I found this comment when that part of the song hit
Form of Satire same
This is easily my favorite song by ADTR.
7 years later and this song still means sooo much to me. Like many more.
I love those screams near the end of the song.
