Thanks for getting Deadzone back on the channel, @ 25 mins going diagonally up a level is only 1 movement point. The paths are checked orthogonally for a clear route but it still only costs 1. Didn't need to use the +1 movement dice.

As far as the Diagonal, I have to give you a story, I will condense it as much as possible, please bear with me:
When I started playing DZ and was on the rules committee, I used to play the Diagonal was the way to go, 1 level or cube. When I was on the RC, I was told by the Head Guy that I was incorrect and should know what Orthogonal movement means, they I was told something about American education, but I digress.
In Euclidean geometry, orthogonal objects are related by their perpendicularity to one another. Lines or line segments that are perpendicular at their point of intersection are said be related orthogonally. Similarly, two vectors are considered orthogonal if they form a 90-degree angle. So, I was TOLD that Orthogonal does not mean Diagonal, and that does not have a place in DZ. Now, the rule book on 18 and 19 the pictures show only to move orthogonally, until you read the examples, are where you see that it says the Diagonal advance is possible. When I said, why don't we show that Diagonal would work, I was again told that it makes sense, and if you don't get it, you are not educated. Funny, I hold 2 Master's degrees, but I digress.
You bring up a great point, and we have discussed it and are going back to the way "WE" thought was correct. Elite warriors can shoot advanced weapons and use elite Marital Prowess, but can not move diagonally? For shame warriors.

Wow, what a reply lol. Yeah that's fair enough, I respect that. I actually went back and looked at the rules and FAQ before I posted just to check. It's not actually 100% clear. But after watching the video of Rob showing movement I was happy with my version. I'll know in future if that's the way you guys are playing it.@@familyofgamers777

Such a fun game. The back and forth and a real nail biter at the end. Loved those cyborgs. Really nasty looking and on the table. More cyborgs.

Awesome report again! Loved it. Some small things I saw:
1. You can't use a Move & Fight die in one activation (turn 3, Andrew using a Move die to have the alpha charge and then use a fight die). Heat of the moment I guess ;)
2. Andrew: don't forget the Alpha is size 2! That is such a huuuuuge bonus in this matchup!
3. The diagonal up move at 25 minutes was only 1 move and did not need a Move die.

As far as Andrew knowing the Alpha is size 2, that's chalked up to knowing your list better.

I'm pretty sure yall played fire wrong at 9:06, the cyborg should be activated if it fails its resilient role. However you Play it correctly at 16:20 which greatly confuses me!
He should have rolled the resilient the first time, but no damage was done, so we let him go with it. Second time he lost the activation but no damage.
Thx for batrep. It was great! I play this match up many times against my friend as MZ. I never win. I play cyborg but not full cyborg. I will try. Thx Andrew. I wonder if you not forget one CC from defender when 1 FF trooper disengage to fire one cyborg onto 1 objective.
This was the first time that Andrew took all Cyborgs, mistakes were made. Our channel has always been about our Journey, Mistakes and all. Glad you enjoyed it.
