Thank you Christopher for bringing awareness to the atrocities 😭 that take place in East Cleveland. When you walked past the 3 people strung out, and you hiding from the two guys with the drugs and gun really freaked me out. I’ve said this before, you’ve got balls of steel. I’m glad you made it out safely. Well done on your documentary.
@@URBEXHILL Next time you are in East Cleveland, hmu. I live here.(well, Collinwood.. right on the EC/Collinwood border). I was deep in the streets, but put that life behind me. Can get you linked up and get you around the area safely. People who's parents and grandparents lived and grew up here. During East Clevelands 'heyday'. When it was known as 'Millionaires Row'.
Chris you're the only explorer that I seen on TH-cam so far that doesn't talk your ear off. You know what I mean you're quiet your calm you collective and you're cool. All you want to do is explore and show what humans how ugly and disgusting they can be. You just say a very few words which make sure a prime explorer. Respect you man.
He has to be quiet... That's how total awareness kicks in. Awareness of your surroundings causes you to completely trust your gut. It can save your life.
You're a heck of a lot braver than I have ever been. So many people living sad and tragic lives. Love your videos but this one really highlighted the hopelessness of an area in decline.
1:04:43 man thank God they didn't see you and you immediately hid and kept quiet stay safe on these explorations man. I think you told me you carry when you do these explorations, be careful man thank you for doing these videos the amount of bs you go through for the fans is greatly appreciated.

Moved to the Cleveland area alone at 27 homeless in 2009. Ended up in a shelter but when I say my worst experiences was in East Cleveland or close by. Almost raped and killed, stalked, and robbed. Been here like what 13 yrs never experienced those things in other places. I use to be traumatized but now I work in those schools because one thing I know these children opportunities are slim to none. Honestly happy school starting back up, we out here 🙏🏾 . Thank you for the work you have done here.
@@URBEXHILL And that’s the root of the problem. People are seeing these things happen and are NOT doing or saying anything about it! How can you march and scream about justice for these victims but turn a blind eye when it comes time to point the finger for the police. This no snitching bullshit is exactly what’s going to continue to let things like this happen!
I just subjected myself to an hour of anxiety. You went into these places ALONE, one with zombies outside. Surprised no human bodies turned up. A real life scary movie
Favorite Urbex channel and this is by far the best exploration of East Cleveland I've watched on TH-cam. East Cleveland is dark place, sometimes you can feel the evil along with the tension in the air in the silence of an abandoned block. The suffering lingers and it becomes palpable.
The ending gave me so much anxiety for you my guy. I’m glad you are safe! This was amazing ,creepy & very sad to watch. Thank you for being so brave to share this graphic stuff with us. Awesome video 😊
Thanks for this man, as a native of Cleveland/ Cleveland suburbs my whole life it's really nice to see someone shining a light on the disgusting reality of urban decay. Tragic to think how nice the rust belt used to be, now parts of Cleveland look like scenes from the walking dead.
America is an eggshell with the hairline cracks showing now soon it's gonna cave tf in on itself , ur gov isn't gonna help u .ppl who keep saying "something needs to be done" need to realise YOU'RE WASTING UR BREATH . I feel I speak for the majority in saying you give us a newfound appreciation for just how good some of us have it. The conditions you showed us are nothing short of apocalyptic even by marginalized or third-world standards. Your raising awareness to your viewers is most admirable. This is the kind of content I feel should be shown to our children to foster an appreciation for what we hold dear and what we love which is behind us. Thank you for filling in the pieces of a picture I hope most should never see...forget the monetization bro, stay true to your mission.
Some of us are poor. Surprising. You go from being in awe, to shaming someone for their living standards. How much of a hypocrite can you be? @@jamestringali1887
It isn't just Cleveland, 70% of us are living in conditions like that here in Mississippi, Alabama, North Florida, and Georgia. But because we aren't NY or LA or Cleveland or Detroit, nobody seems to care. @@jamestringali1887
That last spot you walked through was DEFINITELY someone’s stash house. You got VERY lucky they didn’t catch you there. The rules are shoot first. Even if nothing was missing. The fact you knew about their stash spot makes you a liability. You may want to rethink walking into places like that in the future! Luck doesn’t work everytime.
Thing is bro it looks just like every other abandoned building.. that's why they use them.. you can never tell until it's too late.. lucky he did find it when he did!! Imagine he walked out when they walked in..

@@jarrodbrooks8008 I can assure everyone that what we saw was NOT staged or fake in any way, shape, or form. Just knowing the reputation of this area and the obvious blight of the entire city, if you scoured every room and every corner of every abandoned building in East Cleveland you'd find enough crack, heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl to knock out the entire state of Ohio. And you'd also find enough illegal and untraced firearms to arm the 158th infantry division. I'm quite certain he knew that risk was very likely he'd stumble on a very hot stash of something just like this. And if it's stashed, someone somewhere knows exactly where it is and what is in there.
I feel like you're preaching to the choir on this one. He's definitely either from around here or somewhere alike cause he walked past up knocked out drug addicts like it was nothing 😅🤣

I used to live not far away in Cleveland Heights back in the early 70's. The architecture was amazing. We'd be out until the street lights turned on. It's such a shame to see it so abandoned.
Doxxing myself a bit, but oh well. I live in Shaker Heights right now, about 10-15 minutes away from EC-moved here in September. It’s just as bad here, too. From day one of moving in, right outside my apartment window-at least 5 times a week-there’s some kind of drive by, shoot out, or whatever violent criminal activity; pretty sure I heard a little girl get killed. I didn’t see it but I heard the screams, then cut off to nothing. There’s more than just that one; but, so far, that incident has really stuck with me. It’s scary and sucks that it’s the only options for a lot of us to live out here in these conditions. Go east of Shaker Square, though-I’m sure you’ve seen the big mansions back in the day? The line is very distinct.
@@zaramariety doxxing myself too. I went to Ludlow Elementary K-2, then my mom transferred me to Moreland Elementary for 3rd grade for "reverse segregation " (sending white kids to an all black school). I got the shit beat out of me every day, and the young, white teachers had no clue how to handle it. That was when I got transferred to Coventry Elementary for 4th, and 5th grade in Cleveland Heights. I googled the one apartment I remembered in Clv Hts, and from the outside it looked exactly the same. I'd have to see the other place in person to pick it out. Met my best friend in K though, and we're still friends to this day.
@@starchild7820 They're actually doing some (possible-I say this ‘cause idk what it actually looks like in the process) gerrymandering here right now. They're rebuilding the outer parts of downtown where most of the projects are and trying to attract more wealthy conservatives to shift Cuyahoga County to a red district. It’s happening in other parts of the county, too, this is just what I see the most and it’s strange. Kinda just assuming it’s gerrymandering because the city never gave a shit about the projects until the state of the country started going down the road it was a few months ago. Kinda scared to see what happens to all the people who live here now. They’re being pushed into the Mayfield/Lyndhurst area right now, a lot of the apartments are turning into Section 8, like the luxury Gates Mills Towers apartments.

I'm sorry to say this but isn't it odd that black ppl create this for themselves? I'm from the EU but visited America many times and it seems everywhere there was a large black ppl population the difference was alarming at least. Why is that?
@@TermlessHGW well its a touchy subject. I live on the west side of Cleveland. I've worked all over the Cleveland area. One time i was driving down Hoodland ave(Woodland ) and just missed a drive by. As i drove up to an intersection i saw a car stopped and a girl freaking out, the driver had caught a stray bullet right to the head. I'm not being racist but the black people like to blame white people for all of their problems. There are plenty of jobs out there, they just don't go out and apply themselves.
I was so scared for you when you went in that last building. I was like “no don’t go down there” before you did. I was always told that’s where most bad things happen. I’m glad your good, but for future references no more basements…

This shit was literally like a scary movie. I’m born and raised in East Cleveland and I just realized watching this video how numb I am to this shit🤧 made me drop a tear 😢..
I’m from Baltimore so I know how bad things can be but I’ve never seen anything like this before almost brought me to tears 😢, all those homes could be renovated, so big for families to occupy and just there wasting away. Kudos to you for shedding light on what’s going on there, breaks my heart how our community is neglected so much. Prayers to you during your explorations please be safe and God Bless!! ❤
Or at least torn down so that new houses/apartments built for people instead of leaving them to decay and creating an unsafe environment. It reminds me of where I grew up to, Chicago.
I’m from Baltimore, too. There’s been a lot of renovations by the city over the last couple of decades. Old places like these are made new again. Not sure why Cleveland doesn’t do this.
This one really shook me! The danger you put yourself in is unreal! My jaw hit the floor when you casually walked past those 3 people out on prob Fentanyl and Tranq!? And the basement.....😳...real life, but most only see that in movies!! Lots of emotions on this one!!
you white people live in fear. i live in Cleveland and I've never faced violence. People act like everyone is on drugs and there is random violence against people minding their business. In fact i see more open drug use in white clubs and bars than i do in black neighborhoods. I went to white private schools, and never wanted to move to the suburbs. I never changed my address after college. The main thing i noticed is that even in your "safe" communities whites are miserable. I always wondered why the suburban kids were so angry and depressed all the time. its because you all live in this weird artificial bubble. Your view of the world is wildly different from reality. And I also went to third word countries after college. I met the nicest people there and had the most fun. Then again I'm not white so nobody messes with me in other countries. This guy just confirms your racist views
Xylazine is usually mixed with fentanyl to lengthen fentanyl's euphoric effects. People on this drug combo can usually be observed sleeping on their feet. You can observe this effect by searching for "Kensington" (PA) on TH-cam. Xylazine is used for sedation, anesthesia, muscle relaxation, and analgesia in animals such as horses, cattle and other non-human mammals - basically a local anesthetic. Veterinarians also use xylazine as an emetic (to cause vomiting), especially in cats.

Putting the blight aside, the architectural design of these dilapidated homes are beautiful. You can tell they were nice, open and roomy, not shaped like traditional upstairs/downstairs homes. I want to buy a few so bad and restore them. The bad part is I can’t get it out of EC. I lived on the other side of Elderwood closer to noble.
My mother grew up here and raised me here half my life. So happy to be a first generation college student who made it OUT. I remember starting classes at CSU in 2019 a few months after I graduated and being a commuter student. Nothing could deter me from school or working my Walmart job. I spent a good part of the the time I lived there being terrified, always scared especially when I had to walk alone at night because I’m a young girl with no brother or a dad to protect me since he passed away. Being talked about because my mom was on drugs and couldn’t properly provide for me.. I’m just so happy i got away from that environment, I don’t even want to go into detail. I retired from a telecommunications company that originally served NW Ohio. The new owner bought the franchise for NE Ohio which included East Cleveland. The largest customers were hospitals. The new owner dissolved the Cleveland office meaning that all of the technicians in the NW Ohio franchise would have to service NE Ohio. One customer was a hospital in East Cleveland. I can’t remember the name but two of us had to go to this hospital to be made familiar with the equipment. As a footnote we were told that if we ever had to go there at night that we were NOT to wait for traffic lights to change to green but to run through them as soon as traffic allowed. They said that police wouldn’t pull us over. This hospital was the where they took all the gunshot victims. Thankfully I never had to go there on a service call. I did have to make a service call to a funeral home in East Cleveland during the day. I wasn’t intimidated or scared. I did my job and left with no incident. The owner of our company had to go through a long legal process to sell off the entire NE Ohio franchise. It just wasn’t economically viable for us to drive two or more hours one way to service a customer. I admire your work as a videographer.
Thanks for sharing, interesting how your job itself says RUN RED and we ALL got to see exactly why. Glad to hear that your experiences in EC caused you no problems. Do you see a big diff in the community from then to now or was it real bad still in the time you had the job in the area? regards :)
@@tawandatracee8327 I really can’t say. I drove all over Cleveland and the surrounding areas for I’m guessing about four maybe five years. One of the hospitals that I remember was University hospital…I think that’s the name. We serviced all the Firestone dealers in the area. I remember installing a phone system in a tall building downtown right in the center square area and walking through the multi level mall in the old tower building across the street right next to a grand old building. Once I had to service the US District Court house downtown and had to park about four blocks away. I found working in the area rather exciting but the down side was the long drive between Toledo and Cleveland which in itself broke up the day but put pressure on us to be extra productive. I will say that downtown Cleveland is a far cry better than downtown Toledo. Downtown Toledo is a ghost town after six o’clock unless there’s an event at the ballpark or hockey arena. Other than that there are abundant parking lots and empty buildings. There are some upscale bars and restaurants and expensive apartments that cater to the lucky few that can afford it but there is an awful lot of blight just blocks away from these areas. I rarely drive into Toledo…I live in a modest mobile home community northwest of Toledo on the fringes of the country and I like it.
They lied to you! Shit anybody know One thing East Cleveland gone do is ticket ya ass. Legally or illegally. East side of Cleveland is not East Cleveland its different
You did a wonderful job on this video. It is so pathetically sad what we as supposed humans do to each other and animals. Humanity has left the building. Please stay safe and keep some type of protection on you. Thank you for your hard work.
To see East Cleveland now compared to what it was years ago is truly a HUGE change...like a fast moving plague rapidly moved through and devoured the once flourishing city. I imagine it's like living in a never ending nightmare there today. The governence there has gone so, so far down the rabbit hole. Back in the late 80s & early 90s my nephew called East Cleveland "Little Vietnam".
Big Facts and you'll understand why they flooded what used to be the wealthiest of Cleveland suburbs to be this way. It's easy to call it a nightmare however its not all like this ! Period. Geographical gold mine!!! And yes it's not the same however it still has gems and historical places and investors who will never leave. The greatest way to steal a thing is to make you feel it's not valuable 💯 look beyond!
I doordash and I decline any delivery to east Cleveland cause I'm terrified of that neighborhood!!! Use to be a beautiful city too. Hope it can get back to what it use to be

If you grew up on the rez you definitely ain’t been back there in a min. The last 3-4 years alone fent and all that other bs have wrecked entire communities, families, towns, etc. I hate to say it and I hope it’s not the case for you but I was living in denial about how bad it’s gotten until I lost the love of my life to an OD 5 months ago and she wasn’t the first I’d heard of, just the one that meant everything to me
Back in the late fifty's, I lived in East Cleveland. I loved the place. My home was 12712 Euclid. The house is no longer there. It was a 3 story house thathad 5 entrances. Two in the front, one on the side and two in the back. I loved that home. I went to St Philomena School. It breaks my heart to hear about how dangerous it is today.

@@URBEXHILL East Cleveland legally can’t tear most of them down. A lot of the city used to be owned by the Rockefeller family and was transferred to the city with the condition they wouldn’t be demolished. They have to wait until they basically disintegrate.

I never changed my address after college. The main thing i noticed is that even in your "safe" communities whites are miserable. I always wondered why the suburban kids were so angry and depressed all the time. its because you all live in this weird artificial bubble. Your view of the world is wildly different from reality.

Most intense urban exploration I’ve witnessed thus far. You are one lucky, man. Please stay safe, alive, and in one piece. Don’t end up like those ladies, man.

It’s rare to find really great content on YT like this where someone is doing original exploration work instead of building on others peoples stuff and urban legends. This is incredible dude! Keep it up please this such great content. And stay safe! You’re one of my new favorite channels! Subbed!
Thanks man!!!!!💯
Your videos keep getting better, awesome job. Love seeing the history and stories that go along with these properties, though very sad for these in particular. Can't wait for the next one, best Urbex channel hands down.
Thanks !!!💯 I really appreciate that compliment. They'll continue to get better each time too 💯
Agreed
Omg the people living here must be so beside themselves with terror at times. I’m so sorry for the people living here. My heart goes out to them.

Great video package about what's really going on in Cleveland. I hope you have protection on you when you go out to these places.
I remember this high rise, it was a gem. It sit right across the street from Huron Rd Hospital, so many hospital staff lived there.
Sad and interesting video Chris but so sad to see the decay and destruction of those properties. I'm glad you got out of there unscathed. Take care.
Fuck the houses/properties, there’s human beings decaying & self destructing, due to drugs, specially fentanyl
my man you're not only exploring but also exposing us the abyss.. love your content!
OMGGGG!!!! This was so good! Please be more careful and I didn't no that east cleveland was this bad. Prayers for the families
Bro, you deserve all the accolades and then some for doing all the shit you do. Best urbex channel I've seen. I guess you and dan bell. There's a tone to your videos that's really special and hard to capture
Those dudes in the basement with the crack and gun are way scarier than any ghost 😳👻
Yes I definitely agree!💯
Thank you for this, you are a brave soul.
THE THREE DOPED OUT PEOPLE IN FRONT OF THE RUNDOWN APT MAYBE THE MOST ICONIC SCREENSHOT IVE EVER SEEN THAT RELATES TO TODAYS TIME. I RAN ACROSS THIS VIDEO A LONG TIME AGO AND DIDNT REALIZE UNTIL I SAW YOU ON PARANORMAL CAUGHT ON CAMERA AND CAME BACK HOW COOL THIS CHANNEL IS
I HOPE YOU MAKE A NEW VIDEO SOON. IM IN OHIO TOO.
Thanks I'm working on a new videos now
Genuinely an iconic but tragic image of a generation as sad as that may sound.
It's cool to see you doing this in your home city trying to make a difference my man.
Outstanding post Chris 🏆
Thank you !
That last place, w the “crack backpack”, reminds me of an old Dan Bell video where an incident very similar to this one took place.
Only difference was that he only HEARD the dudes, never saw them.
You were miraculously 15’ from these thugs.
I remember watching that... However, Dan's video was staged. He later had a video about that.
@@michael-lynn
If that’s true abt Dan Bell he should be ashamed of himself🤨
Not going to lie, this one seemed a bit “staged” as well 🥸.
Not saying it WAS but… it seemed really convenient and Chris didn’t seem too scared to have such danger THAT close. Because if they found out they probably would’ve killed him… But he had so little fear of that that he just kept filming them even though he was just a few feet from them… Really made me wonder 💭
Great video, but heartbreaking.
The way you explore keeps me glued to the screen. The danger is exciting to watch, but please stay safe. ☮️❤️
Chris, thank you for bringing light into the darkness! At first I thought the people passed out were some kind of crazy mannequin display, it didn't even look real. I was terrified for you when the guys with the crack and the gun came back. Please be safe! God Bless You! Love from Youngstown!
Yes all of is crazy and sad. This is East Cleveland on a regular basis. I really hope this sheds light on how this city need help
oh yes! If OUR ❤'s were racing @ that moment, I can't even imagine what Chris was experiencing! We KNEW someone/s were DEF coming back given the bags contents there was 0 doubt, it was the WHEN? and it turned out it was with JUST enough time for our Warrior friend to get outta their sight!! I PRAY he has his CELL on SILENT!! Can you imagine ☎right then!?! eegads! just thinking about it is enough⁉
I thought it was until I seen the guy in the black jumper move after he was walking off. That's sad man
Have u seen Youngstown ijs I'm from Cleveland been all through Ohio
stuff like this hurts my heart so much, so many people, places, dreams just completely lost and forgotten. we really do forget everyone else's lives were/is as vivid and crazy as our own...
That moment in the basement when Chris had to hide from those guys must have been unforgettable. Awesome vid
I’ve always loved your channel since I found it. I am very into urban exploration and I have every desire to begin doing it as a hobby. Please keep up the good work, but please don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger.
You ' ve been amazing on this one Chris , to keep your calm in such situation. Nice exploration as always , becoming even surreal at some point , mostly at this scene where like deformed mannequin, standing there like dead plastic, stood 3 poor souls, very odd and sad at the same time . Really enjoying the ancestral architecture of Cleveland and how you're able to capture the Beauty of it in your filming intro . Sad to know that they will maybe take down those secular neighbors. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! Yeah its sad, I'm sure they were high on fentanyl.
Thanks im glad you liked it
You keep saying this nasty this crazy over and over. Obviously it is but you were not expecting the place to be fully furnished with carpets and stuff . I dont know why you sounded so shocked really. That just crazy this just crazy . Other than that i enjoy your video
Keep safe and take care

As an architect, I can truly say, those homes are beautiful.
Just goes to show it's not about the material object. The power is in the people.
And the people ruined it.
My cousin was a police officer somewhere nearby. He had to quit. Emotionally, it was too hard on him.
You're extremely bold to go into somebody's stash spot, stay safe my guy
I’m also in telecommunications and work there and have basically been told the same thing.
@@jimbof20able wow
Look at who is in charge and you will find the answer to the downfall of East Cleveland

Thanks Alen! I appreciate that 💯!
This channel is outstanding...this got to me and pained my heart it was so sad to hear of all the deaths even the skinny dog pulled at my heart strings 🙁
Much respect to you bro. Bringing awareness to such tragedies and risking your own life to show us how it is. Take care of yourself my guy
I'm watching this from Australia, and I got to say this is really disturbing, nicely made video brother!

Those people outside that apartment building… first of all that’s very sad but I’ve never seen anything like that in all of my 23 years of life. That’s so crazy. I grew up on a reservation and we had pretty bad parts but it would rarely get bad like this.
Btw stay safe Urbex. Your doing gods work of showing of how bad the poverty is with this exploration.
Yeah its sad but its a lot of drugs and neglect here thats why its so bad.
Thanks!
those are zombies you saw outside its scary ..nice video
If you grew up on the rez you definitely ain’t been back there in a min. The last 3-4 years alone fent and all that other bs have wrecked entire communities, families, towns, etc.
I hate to say it and I hope it’s not the case for you but I was living in denial about how bad it’s gotten until I lost the love of my life to an OD 5 months ago and she wasn’t the first I’d heard of, just the one that meant everything to me
Cleveland is my birthplace .I will be Praying for my hometown for sure !🙏
Back in the late fifty's, I lived in East Cleveland. I loved the place. My home was 12712 Euclid. The house is no longer there. It was a 3 story house thathad 5 entrances. Two in the front, one on the side and two in the back. I loved that home. I went to St Philomena School. It breaks my heart to hear about how dangerous it is today.
I used to visit that building it was still a nice building in 1999 when i worked at the hospital across the street!
Rip to all the innocent dogs and other animals left to die in those abandoned homes! 🙏🏼 Whoever left them like that deserves to be where they are right now!
And the human beings… you know they dying too.
@@irismercado92 If the violence in Cleveland hasn't shown you, there are a lot of 'human beings' who care more about animals than people.

All these abandoned buildings need ripping down, and tidy up the land. At least it would stop certain places being used for illegal activity
Thank you for showing us Cleveland, I can’t get over how many deaths and kidnappings there have been! Such beautiful young people gone. It’s sickening!
I think the Mayor needs to go and someone take over who really cares about Cleveland
My heart and soul goes out to all the victims. May they rest in peace.
Another amazing video, but Chris please be careful, we only have one of you.
Thank you. May God protect you on your journeys. 💖❤️💖
Yes I agree they need to either repair or demolish the buildings, not leave them there for crime to talk place.
This was a sad one for me.
Thanks!💖
@@URBEXHILL East Cleveland legally can’t tear most of them down. A lot of the city used to be owned by the Rockefeller family and was transferred to the city with the condition they wouldn’t be demolished. They have to wait until they basically disintegrate.
they need to do something about the homeless population before tearing stuff down, coming from someone whos lived in cleveland
@@zachwheelock5647 To borrow a line from a movie, contracts are like hearts - they were made to be broken. You get the right lawyers together with the proper legal understanding, and you can break all these contracts that are holding up these buildings so you can bring a bulldozer to this town.
I could listen to you talk for hrs your voice is soothing. That’s so sad that it looks like that there. Glad that you did a video on it so ppl can see. So glad nothing bad happened when you had to hide from those ppl. Love your videos and always enjoy watching ❤️

@@URBEXHILL your welcome.
I remember when Ec didn't have all the abandoned building back in the 90s. I worked at Caribbean sea it was on Page and Euclid
Sending good vibes and positive energy to the people of East Cleveland. It’s gotta be hard to be a resident in a city, trying your best with what you have, but still can’t count on public services for their safety.
Keep your head up, East Cleveland, be that voice of change, do something for your city to make a difference and move your city forward. Make your voice heard and vote!
Ayo I love the commitment you have to show us these bandos, specially when you passed those zombies at the entrance.
