I'm glad Meth admitted that publicly. I've had so many moments in my life where I felt someone was disrespecting me and caused situations because of my ego. It took time to realize that I was insecure and had no reason to be because I've accomplished a lot in my life and plan to accomplish more. Once I was honest with myself it was like a weight was lifted off of me and I am a lot more confident and happier now. I feel a lot people get into trouble because of this and should understand it's not that serious and someone "disrespecting" you doesnt mean you should make a rash decision and throw your life away.

When you can admit you are wrong and can apologize at it shows maturity and growth. Folks have the hardest time admitting when they are wrong.

Meth spoke real truth about the DC incident. It was because of the darkness and low self esteem that he felt that he did that to them not because of anything they did to him. I feel men, especially black men, need to hear this part of this interview. That's why you have these "podcast heroes" being able to exploit the low self esteem and brokenness of black men, their own brothers. They are taught from a young age it's weak to cry or feel emotions when in fact it's a release of darkness and hurt. By keeping it in it just feeds their low self esteem and makes them extra sensitive to things like rejection. They feel that they can reject a woman but lord forbid a woman isn't interested in them then it's m, "oh she think she better than me so let me bring her down" to make her feel lesser than me because of my own low self esteem. All these toxic podcast are terminal to the black male psyche and only perpetuates them being emotionally and psychologically stunted at adolescence.
Be honest and just listen to one of these podcast just once with the knowledge of the black male being emotionally and psychologically stunted at adolescence and it all makes sense because the things they say and behavior they advocate is that you'd expect of adolescent boys not grown men. It's those boys in school who thought they were so desirable by every female that when a girl showed no interest they'd get mad and either attack her, bully her, already rumors about her, or try to downplay her by saying things like, "oh she think she something. She ain't even that cute. She ugly anyway. She a hoe anyway"...etc...etc.

You summed it up perfectly!!! A guy I used to deal with had (and might still have) this issue with low self esteem and insecurity. We were friends for a while and during that time he told me stories of being insecure, scared, arrogant, having anger issues, trying to come across as hard but was really soft, etc. while growing up and dating The one thing he wasn't honest about was how he always made it seem like certain females were chasing him and he was always the one breaking it off with them. But then I started seeing a pattern of how he would create different situations of leading females on. Then when they would feel comfortable enough to reciprocate because they thought he was into them, he'd reject them, disrespect them and make it seem like they were chasing him. But they really weren't doing this. He kept giving them reasons to think they had a chance of being in a great relationship with him. So they were not crazy, like he made them out to be. He made them think that a relationship was on the horizon. That's when I realized how deeply damaged he was (probably still is). It was like he was playing catch-back with these innocent females for all of the times he he was rejected growing up. If a guy has to make himself feel like a man by putting down females, who he lead to believe that he was into in the first place, then something is seriously off and there is a level of insecurity and low self esteem that requires therapy, in my opinion. I can imagine the trail of confused, hurt females he has dealt with, who actually did nothing wrong, but think they did because of how he spinned things. And oh yeah, he's married now and told me, before our friendship ended (that's a long story), how he had unleashed his anger on his wife. All I thought was "And the cycle will continue until you really get in touch with where all of this stems from." I wish we were still friends just so I could show him your comment.
