The Phra Man Buddha of Wat Xieng Thong

Once a year during Lao Pi Mai (New Year) the highly revered Phra Man Buddha statue is taken from its locked chapel in the grounds of Wat Xieng Thong in Luang Prabang and set up for people to pay their respects and make merit by pouring water over it. A week later it will be returned to its locked chapel for another year.
