Carrera Stamile’s performance of Domenico Gaudioso’s Concerto for Mandolin, Foothills Philharmonic.

This is the September 23, 2023 concert video the Gaudioso Concerto for Mandolin recorded in Greer, SC with the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra.
I really enjoyed performing with this community orchestra under the baton of Kory Vrieze. I had the privilege of performing with this group after winning their Future Stars Concerto Competition. This piece is always so incredible to play and I am so thankful to got to share it!

yes, u can see the mic clamped to the instrument, also the sound is comming from "somewhere arround"

@@Legolasicek I wasn't sure if that was to amplify or just for recording purposes but thanks for the answer. I guess amplification is a necessity in this type of setting.

HI John, I have an external pickup from K & K sound called Meridian Microphone. It is a condenser microphone that is bendable so to angle it over my instrument. I have the extension piece on the side added to accommodate the extra width on this particular mandolin. It is connected to a pre-amp and plugged into the amplifier that the orchestra owns.
