It seems like the aspect of real time gives this game the feeling of realism, that connects your world to the real word. I mean in what other game would you have times during he day where you would think "oh now I gotta play before the shops close" in that way

Same here, I was disappointed with pocket camp cuz it wasnt as fun as I thought it would be, especially as my introduction to the series. But from everything I've seen on new horizons, it looks like sooo much fun and super rewarding! My friends and I plan on playing this together :)
i pre-ordered the game on amazon and will receieve it on launch day, the 20th. dont have to go to the store and get the virus. with all these characters traveling to my deserted island from all across the world i hope they dont infect everyone on my island with the covid-19. i think Nook should be looking into these things and release a virus carepackage. (he would probably charge a rediculous amout of bells for that too.....)
Things I learned: 1.Tom nook loans you the house and u gotta pay him back money, so thats why there r those scary nook memes 2. U only get 1 primary fruit and everyone wants peaches, as of now I’m torn between apples/oranges/peaches 3. U can actually chase villagers u dont want out LOL 4. Toe beans 5. i absolutely cannot wait for this game to come out!!!!!
Honestly I'd just stick with any native fruit if you play on switch. One fun thing about new leaf was growing trees from fruit from your friend's town to have loads of different fruit trees, and the even more accessible online access for NH will make this even easier.

oh no im so sorry :(, I actually had to search everywhere for mine and I could order 1 of the last 2 and it arrived today, it’s totally worth it, I loved it so much, you could try searching up on actual physical stores where you live (by asking online) and send someone to pick it for you, thats what I did and thankfully it worked
Animal Crossing is probably my all time favourite game series- I missed out on New Leaf and was too young to play the GBA one, but I've loved every minute I've played it for. It's just a dream as someone with anxiety, to have a little place where nothing can really go wrong, there's no real time limits, and you could quite happily just sit doing nothing all the time.
Wow......this actually going to be the first game I get at launch....I am now just realizing that. Animal crossing really is the only game about paying of debt to an anthropomorphic animal look fun.

You did well with it. My favorite part is at the end where you express your love for the game and shared how your family love it as well. This game means absolutely everything to me. My grandma bought it for her GameCube wayyyy back in the day and told me about this game she found where you talk to animals all day and of course my little self was immediately curious about it. She let me play and now I’m a grown adult who’s so in love with this series that I can’t even sleep in anticipation. This game has had a piece of my heart since I can remember and I’m so so proud of how far it’s come and the fact that the developers actually care about our wishes for the game and intentionally kept all of our favorite things about it. I played wild world every single day after school in elementary, for hours and Idek how I did (there’s not exactly a TON to do in that one) but anyway. Enough gushing lol 😂 I just need it to get here asap
koramora it’s so interesting, when I was a kid playing I thought I was the only one in the world who even knew what it was and now that I’m old I love finding people who grew up with it just like I did 😭 makes me feel like I was connected to a bigger community that I didn’t even know existed at the time

My last animal crossing game was wild world. I played the absolute sheezus out of it from like 7 yrs old to 11 years old and then just kinda forgot about animal crossing. I'd hear about it here or there, see the newer games' cases at my friends houses, but they never seemed different enough for me to start playing again. I just got the game last week. I'm on day 4. I got peaches. I wanted cherries. But then I figured, peaches are better than apples or pears and I really liked my map. Plus, my airport is yellow. The best colour.
I remember watching this video on release, never having played an Animal Crossing. How time flies. I haven’t played the game loads after the first weeks but it was fun in quarantine and now I’m getting back into it. Quarantine was a lot simpler than the time I’m in now, so it’s good to have the game back in my life to support me. I hope other people have the same experience I do, with Animal Crossing helping them get through tough times.

New Horiozns is gonna be my first AC game (it's already preloaded in y Switch) and I admire all of you AC fans that had to wait 7 years for a main line entry. I'm so ready to sink into the game and be totally consumed.
ever since i got wild world and my ds lite for christmas in 2011 it has been one of my favourite games ever. i’ve had all of them except from the 2001/2 version and i got happy home designer in 2015/6 since then i’ve lost new leaf and hhd and was moving away from it as i no one to play with. then when i heard there way a new one finally coming out from my friends i was so so excited beyond words and the memories flooded back, i love playing this game sm and can we respect and admired *tHe GrApHiCs GlOwUp*
My only experience with these kind of games is with the Sims Freeplay, and I got impatient and bored after a week. But animal crossing?? To everyone who can't afford it: You can get Pocket Camp on the App Store for free :) it's not the same, but it's similar. I used to play it whilst I was saving for the game. Just search "Animal Crossing Pocket Camp" and it will come up. It has the same principals, plus you have all the fruit as your native fruits and you can play with friends.
I really like how in-depth this back to basics videos is. I love the small history lesson on the series and the small jokes you make in-between the more dense informational parts. All Around an absolutely solid video keep up the good work kora!!!

When I started my game about two months ago, I got oranges as my native fruit. That wouldn't have been a problem normally, but EVERY TIME that I've started an AC game, my native fruit has been oranges and I'm getting a bit tired of it.
Well, I'm out of work for the next month thanks to the coronavirus quarantine. Perfect chance to get my hands on New Horizons and DOOM Eternal for some quality game time.
It’s so cool to have a family that plays video games with ya. My mom never really cared to play much video games with me... I think... I know why... because I used to be super annoying and trying to show her how to play by basically taking the controller, since we had one at the time, and me doing it all the time while o tried showing her some moves in games that could help her big time... I never got to play with friends much either. I only got to playing online which is why I love online games so much. I can play with someone who I can consider a friend.
I always wanted the GameCube version when I was young but never did bought new leaf when it released couldn’t put the game down been couple years since I’ve touched new leaf so I’m real excited
3:45 I can also confirm this. I was playing animal crossing for the first time, had no background knowledge with the game, did all the airport stuff, went to my island, and I got cherries. For some reason, I didn’t know how to “press a” to get to the main game where you choose your island name and stuff. Me, being frustrated turned off the switch without saving (because I had no idea you have to save your progress) and didn’t play for the rest of the week. When I came back, I had to redo my progress, and my island ended up having peaches instead of cherries. And it’s been like that ever since. So, in other words, I got peaches without even realizing, and now my friends are begging me to give them peaches so they can fill up their island with peaches and become rich. Who knew having peaches would give you so much power?
I just bought a switch for this game because my grandma and I used to play it on the cube together sadly she has passed so I’m getting it for sentimental reasons and also because of the hype it looks so cute I know she would love playing it

This game means absolutely everything to me. My grandma bought it for her GameCube wayyyy back in the day and told me about this game she found where you talk to animals all day and of course my little self was immediately curious about it. She let me play and now I’m a grown adult who’s so in love with this series that I can’t even sleep in anticipation. This game has had a piece of my heart since I can remember and I’m so so proud of how far it’s come and the fact that the developers actually care about our wishes for the game and intentionally kept all of our favorite things about it. I played wild world every single day after school in elementary, for hours and Idek how I did (there’s not exactly a TON to do in that one) but anyway. Enough gushing lol 😂 I just need it to get here asap

koramora it’s so interesting, when I was a kid playing I thought I was the only one in the world who even knew what it was and now that I’m old I love finding people who grew up with it just like I did 😭 makes me feel like I was connected to a bigger community that I didn’t even know existed at the time

My last animal crossing game was wild world. I played the absolute sheezus out of it from like 7 yrs old to 11 years old and then just kinda forgot about animal crossing. I'd hear about it here or there, see the newer games' cases at my friends houses, but they never seemed different enough for me to start playing again. But OOOOOOH BABY am I SOOOO ready for New Horizons. I'm used to the level of customisation which the sims provides so I am all about that c r e a t i v e c o n t r o l babyyyyy. I just got the game last week. I'm on day 4. I got peaches. I wanted cherries. But then I figured, peaches are better than apples or pears and I really liked my map. Plus, my airport is yellow. The best colour.
I remember watching this video on release, never having played an Animal Crossing. How time flies. I haven’t played the game loads after the first weeks but it was fun in quarantine and now I’m getting back into it. Quarantine was a lot simpler than the time I’m in now, so it’s good to have the game back in my life to support me. I hope other people have the same experience I do, with Animal Crossing helping them get through tough times.

LuckyOwl777 idk the source, but a couple of people have mentioned it now. It’s a box in the front of the shop where you place items you want to sell and then the money automatically gets sent to you or something like that

New Horiozns is gonna be my first AC game (it's already preloaded in y Switch) and I admire all of you AC fans that had to wait 7 years for a main line entry. I'm so ready to sink into the game and be totally consumed.
ever since i got wild world and my ds lite for christmas in 2011 it has been one of my favourite games ever. i’ve had all of them except from the 2001/2 version and i got happy home designer in 2015/6 since then i’ve lost new leaf and hhd and was moving away from it as i no one to play with. then when i heard there way a new one finally coming out from my friends i was so so excited beyond words and the memories flooded back, i love playing this game sm and can we respect and admired *tHe GrApHiCs GlOwUp*

My only experience with these kind of games is with the Sims Freeplay, and I got impatient and bored after a week. But animal crossing?? Nah this looks like time well spent :) It just looks beautiful already whereas in the sims I was dying to exchange my cheap toilet for one of them retro space themed thrones asjdlqbdl

As for me, the satisfying moment is when I shake a tree and the damn furniture item I've wanted since I saw it in Pango's house falls out. That's what I call victory.
To everyone who can't afford it:
You can get Pocket Camp on the App Store for free :) it's not the same, but it's similar. I used to play it whilst I was saving for the game. Just search "Animal Crossing Pocket Camp" and it will come up. It has the same principals, plus you have all the fruit as your native fruits and you can play with friends.

Just want to preface that I’ve never played a single Animal Crossing game in my life and watching this video completely convinced me to buy New Horizons, you have fueled my interest and I want to thank you for that!!
This video was so helpful, I’m finally getting a nintendo switch and one of the reasons that I want to get a nintendo switch is because of this game but, I actually never played this game. I’m still looking for a guide to villagers but other than that, this video was extremely helpful, great video!
When I started my game about two months ago, I got oranges as my native fruit. That wouldn't have been a problem normally, but EVERY TIME that I've started an AC game, my native fruit has been oranges and I'm getting a bit tired of it.

It’s so cool to have a family that plays video games with ya. My mom never really cared to play much video games with me... I think... I know why... because I used to be super annoying and trying to show her how to play by basically taking the controller, since we had one at the time, and me doing it all the time while o tried showing her some moves in games that could help her big time... I never got to play with friends much either. I only got to playing online which is why I love online games so much. I can play with someone who I can consider a friend.

I always wanted the GameCube version when I was young but never did bought new leaf when it released couldn’t put the game down been couple years since I’ve touched new leaf so I’m real excited
3:45 I can also confirm this. I was playing animal crossing for the first time, had no background knowledge with the game, did all the airport stuff, went to my island, and I got cherries. For some reason, I didn’t know how to “press a” to get to the main game where you choose your island name and stuff. Me, being frustrated turned off the switch without saving (because I had no idea you have to save your progress) and didn’t play for the rest of the week. When I came back, I had to redo my progress, and my island ended up having peaches instead of cherries. And it’s been like that ever since.
So, in other words, I got peaches without even realizing, and now my friends are begging me to give them peaches so they can fill up their island with peaches and become rich. Who knew having peaches would give you so much power?
I just bought a switch for this game because my grandma and I used to play it on the cube together sadly she has passed so I’m getting it for sentimental reasons and also because of the hype it looks so cute I know she would love playing it
