- This video is Part 1 of an overall tour of my Jeep SRT, in the “Red Vapor” package. This vehicle had 2 owners and I picked it up @ Valenti’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram in Mystic, Connecticut. On October 12 of last year. It was only a 3hr drive from New Jersey, wanting to trade-in (which I did) my old 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo.

This gear shift is literally one of the best gear shift I have one on my 2016 grand Cherokee

I went from a 2013 lifted grand Cherokee to a trackhawk then got the 2015 SRT for a daily! Most definitely amazing cars!
Yes indeed! The only things I dislike about this truck are the carbon fiber peeling and the T gear shifter. Everything else from the exterior, interior and performance of the vehicle are amazing, and I love it! Glad you’re having fun with them vehicles.
@@platinum476 the shifter is what i hate too! I usually turn my parking brake on before i get out cause I’ve heard of them not fully being in gear, there’s a article about a guy who was killed cause his rolled back an pined him between a wall but everything else is amazing! I only have the basic mods cause i wanna keep it somewhat stock
@@srtjay321 Yah I made sure I carefully put it in the right gear shift. Slowly one indent at a time. That’s what messed up the owners and killed Anton Yelchin, because they rushed it as if it’s a traditional automatic gear shift. But regardless I still hate it.

How reliable is this suv?
i’m 21 and have a 2019 overland with the 5.7 got it last year with a little less then 60k on the dash all by myself… love the vehicle till this day black on black everything she’s my baby can’t wait for rhe SRT

@@hayze6160 What you get for the “Red Vapor” package are red suede insert seats, with laguna leather. Black chrome 5 spoke rims, you don’t see on mine because it was changed out. Red stitching all over including side panel doors. Optional Harman Kardon sound system, and panoramic Sun/Moonroof. And lastly, a backlit SRT logo on the steering wheel.
@@platinum476 i like the regular srt wheels than the 5 spoke rims cause even the other models bring the 5spoke so idk why someone would pay to get those wheels i dont like it over the other srt wheels
Also got a red vapor edition myself but you got the most rare color combo only 75 made with red on redline

Yah the 17 and up front fascia I love it! But this is also badass. I might change the front fascia with the new design.
The factory has put a ten year warranty on the trim.
When I get the chance, imma get that sorted out with the dealership. Appreciate the info 👌🏾
I have a 2012 SRT8 jeep, you will run into some probs, i had to buy another engine at 74k miles due to timing change break, so now I have Mopar crate engine bore out to 500hp

@@TheBIGKNOC I’m thinking about it. I live in New Jersey but we rarely have any car jacking in my area. Only Newark, Irvington, Jersey City, and Paterson. Mostly the high crime areas.
@@platinum476 just do me and yourself a favor get something the Pin code system is really good they have moved further out for these vehicles...don't know if you ever heard of BIGTRUCKSERIESREVIEW HE HAVEN'T had any issues but just in case get some type of protection also look him up he speaks on his hellcat and jeep srt from 5 years ago until now last but not least put a oil catch can on your car and change them lifters rollers to hellcat lifters thank me later lol.

Hey I’m new to TH-cam as well I just brought my 2021 srt slate blue was passing by a dealership saw it loved it called had it at $62,500 with 12,157 miles couldn’t believe it do you think that’s good had it 3 days later and I am in love with my SRT. I used to work at a construction company in 2007 and my boss had a SRT8 at the time was my dream car ever since
$62k isn’t bad at all. With that year you got and the miles it has that’s still fresh out the lot. As long as you got a great warranty, enjoy it as long as you can. Congrats 👌🏽

It can be if you give it the regular proper maintenance as needed. I’m pretty sure you’ve done the same as your 21’ Limited, so that shouldn’t be a problem. I think they’ve fixed the issue with the Carbon Fiber trimming from 18-21 SRT trims. As far as the gas, it drinks as if it’s an alcoholic. But IMO it’s the best investment I’ve made as far as using it for daily driving.

A great deal!? That’s a steal right there! If you can find a Jeep SRT with that mileage, and a dealer selling you that for $48k you better hurry and take the rug right underneath they noses. Usually with that kind of mileage would go around for $60k. And that’s what was the starting base price out the manufacturer.
But then again if you’re good at finessin’, then that shouldn’t be any problem for you LOL!

@@ajgantt4573 Thanks & looking forward to it. I would suggest to look outside your state. I don’t know where you reside, but if you can find a dealer with a reasonable price take it! Independent dealers are always iffy, most of the time they’re a miss. I found my Jeep through “cargurus”, and ended up grabbing it in Connecticut.
