I'm sorry to hear of your trapped nerve, I've been suffering for almost a year. At one point last August/September, I was in loads of pain when sitting and getting in and out of cars was agony so I was housebound for a number of weeks which I found tough as, at the age of 29, it was the first time I had been off my feet for any length of time. An MRI scan found the cause is a couple of slipped discs (L4-L5 and L5-S1 disc herniations). It's not completely gone but it is considerably better now than it was even a month or two ago so I seem to be slowly recovering thank goodness.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard I went to physio who gave me a number of exercises to do. It's been frustratingly slow to heal but it's getting there - it started mid June last year 😢 (although I had my scan in October and didn't go to physio until February). All the best with it Wardy 🙂
A good chiropractor sorted my trapped nerve in my back. I'll take a punt on L4 L5 disc nipping at the trouser belt line. Experience has made chiropractor my immediate go to nowadays.
Yet another superb update. I love how you explain the details of crops, weeds, equipment etc. Never knew about the discs on te roller. My wife had a sciatic nerve problem and it was excruciating and debilitating for at least 3 months! Best of luck with your diagnosis and treatment.

I grow cereals rape maize vining peas and beet in Poland. Back problems too. Rolling always a challenge no good too soon or too late and lateral air ducts always easier to cover than uncover. Thanks for the film, very informative.
Brilliant vlog, so informative and easy to watch. Sorry you are struggling with back issues. I have total empathy for you having broken my back and also had prolapsed discs. Anyone who makes fun of "back pain" should spend a day in our shoes.
Great update Andrew, the electric buggy looks a good little bit of kit. Its good to see you getting the beet sprayed, and the beans rolled . Hopefully we will get some dry weather soon .
Great update, sorry to hear about the back, when I had some disc compresion that caused similar effects to you the local hospital (in Asia) had me in every weekday for around 9 weeks and strapped to a bed by the chest and waist and they then gently pulled every few seconds for roughtly 20 minutes. It hurt like mad for the 1st few goes but that was 10 years ago and I have not had a repeat of the pain since.
Another great update Andrew. Good luck with the scan. Hope to see you at the Cereal event. I’m setting up an agricultural, drone spray operation this year and once the MAPP chemicals are approved maybe this could be a solution to spraying in wet winter/spring conditions in the future (targeting areas unsuitable for the Bateman when it’s so wet). Let’s hope though that the coming winters are drier!
Thank you. I’ll be at the Ceres machinery stand with Olly, Tom Pemberton, Tom Lamb etc, not sure exactly when yet. Your drone plane sounds interesting, you can try it here if you get it sorted. 😊👍
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard Thank you Andrew. I should be set up this year. Training at Harper Adam’s in a few weeks. It all hinges on approvals for the sprays. I’m visiting these guys (link below) in America in July but in the UK it’s early days and only a few guys chasing the approvals so far. I’d be very happy to come and demo later this year hopefully. We can demo with just water in the winter to get an idea of the options. Great for target spraying such as trials. Also adaptable for spreading of seeds, fertilisers etc. Hope to see you at the Cereals event. Andrew (agridronesuk). th-cam.com/video/T-vxYeNxhGk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=djpUVh1usKdRzC4O
Great video again. Subject to what your Consultant says I would encourage you to get into Pilates and then stretch daily. Great update love the blue lights on the sprayer, the charging plug on the polaris is in a vulnerable place too close to the ground, hope you get back sorted, not nice trapped nerves.
Good morning Andrew Glad you’re getting caught up a bit with planting etc. that is until the next job comes along, you’re right about being an early harvest, my wheat is motoring along, looks like I’ll need to do the ear wash this weekend. I don’t know how it’s so far ahead considering the amount of weather it’s had. 😂 Good luck with the scan on the back, I know what it’s like with a bad back, I had an operation on a slipped disc 14 years ago now, but like you I had an MRI scan and was on pain killers too. Good luck with it all, I know what that pain is like that comes down into your leg. Not nice Cheers 👍
Great update andrew, and it's on time this week!!!! Nice job of rolling shoukd of missed a breed when turning, better get that awful radio one on in that polaris!!
18:15 great content again that fat hen is such a nightmare to control had a very bad invention of it on my allotment two years in a row just kept pulling it hoeing it and I would spray with a weed killer called Gallup very good it certainly knocked it right back
Like yourself I had a trapped nerve, when I went to see the speacialist my records were not there so that put me three months back. When I finally saw him he said "I can operate but it may paralyze you, you can have an injection but in your case it may not work or you can do nothing! From start to that point had been a year and it was tolerable by then. My point being if you can't get it done you will probably get relief in time. I am troubled at times but never as bad as at the start of that period, be careful! Take care, Pete.
Hope you get your back sorted out soon chap. Back pain is very debilitating isnt it. I had a soft tissue break in one of my lower vertebrae years ago and those in my neck are out of line as well. I tried a Chiropractor for a while. Lots of banging and cracking from the top of the spine ensued. Heyho.
Cracking update again Andrew. Couldn’t believe how wet that patch off ground was still, we got fields off barley turning down here already, isn’t it funny how weeds seem to grow a lot faster than the crops 😂.the electric buggy looks pretty impressive don’t it. Keep, the good videos coming.
Bloody hell Andrew! 3 weeks ago at work I slowly got a really bad pain in my hamstring leading into my hip and my whole leg got pins and needles! My leg had a mind of its own and pushing the wheel barrow became a real challenge!!Really uncomfortable sleep but very slowly improving! Hope you get sorted? Thanks Andrew
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard if you watch the video back at the 5 min mark you are driving down the road looking down the beet rows you can see the tractor wheel marks have no weeds
Electric Polaris sounds really good… I’ve tried a few electric cars and compared to combustion engine vehicles the quiet and instant delivery of power is lovely. Does make me wonder if electrification will ever reach the full size tractor market. You’d need some pretty huge batteries and maybe not the best for torque?
