I was a chronic insomniac. After listening to Ron Oliver for 16 seconds… I was fast asleep! Thanks Ron.

Remember when this emissions check came into force my dad's 2.8 ford granada failed on emissions and struggled to get it through the M.O.T eventually after fiddling with the mixture and carb it just got through the M.O.T

My everyday car is a 1988 Volvo 240 GLT which is of course; Fuel Injection by then. It always passes emissions with flying colours. But it does sometimes need tweaking.

"Ozone layers", does that mean we got more then one lol and to be honest even if a car has a mot it dont mean nothing, because it comes down to how skilled and professional the tester is, and even the most critical of testers can have a bad day or miss something,
Its just a "hint" sheet as i've seen WAY to many death traps passed with no advisories,
We had a 06 mazda 2 the other day, previous mot had NOTHING on it, it failed last week, had a page of advisories for rust and failed on rotten brake lines,
The rust had been growing for years that was obvious so it should of been noted as a advisory on the previous mot/s esp the brake lines as the rear ones were on the verge of becoming porous they were so rotten so that would of shown corrosion over 2 years at least,
I like to see a long list of advisories because it shows they pay attention and really look and want their name to hold quality and more importantly it shows they care the vehicle is safe

When man Climate change started effecting cars, followed by more regulations as soon as you met one they added more control.
