After being told to listen to NF for YEARS now, I finally gave him a shot for the first time ON CAMERA so we can see what I think together.. Here goes!

A lot of rappers have bit into NF's thing a little bit. Tom has dived into NF lore stuff several times, and Drake/Future had a music video that looked almost completely like a copy of a NF's "When I Grow Up" video that was released previously. I think rappers do this because NF is completely off the radar, he is not on social media much, doesn't do interviews, doesn't do award shows, doesn't want to be famous, and doesn't get involved in drama, or bring any things like this up. Basically, he doesn't care enough to call anybody out about it. NF is not nearly as big as he should be, because he doesn't want to be famous, but big people know who he is, for sure.
Definitely pretty interesting..
If you like real, deep, story-telling hip hop, you're gonna *love* NF. That's his thing.
The best way to experience NF is through the journey. From his first album Mansion to his last in order is the best way. His albums are puzzle pieces creating a picture that will go into the next album to a larger picture and so forth. He does it all without cussing and they all have alot of emotions and feelings behind them. There is symbolism in this video you don't get without going through the journey and learning them. Like the black balloons are his burdens and the shopping cart is the cage he has put himself in even the swing has its meaning. But his genius is by far unmatched in the way he has tied each album into the next like books. It's worth the journey to take.

Clouds - For this I'd just say the entire mixtape

Nice reaction. Yes, Tom has bit off several of NF’s visuals/symbolisms. It personally doesn’t bother me. I mean, it’s hard to blame Tom for using some of the MASTERMIND’s work.

I really enjoyed your reaction and look forward to your future ones. NF has very many great songs! The black balloons, that Tom McDonald "copied", represent Nate's burdens, of which there are many. The video prior to this, where they were introduced, is Why and the one after this is Leave Me Alone, both are great songs and videos. Lost (ft Hopsin) also features them as does Paid My Dues also great songs and videos. That would be a little trail to go down?
Or alternatively, his last project, which was a mixtape, which was brilliant would let you see his versatility and lyricism. Maybe then you might want to do "The NF Journey" which I'm sure someone will be linking you to before too long. It's worth doing!! Whatever you do, enjoy, Nate's the real deal.

I'm a Tom Macdonald fan as well...he mentions NF in the song I Don't Care. Tom also used joker smile and black balloons in Clown World. He's paying homage.

@@peggysoutherland1183 I remember in a live once he said he liked NF. But, he has used some NF imagery in his videos more than once such as being wrapped in caution tape (NF did in Intro in 2015) or the black cage (NF entire Perception album has that as his theme - check out "Outcast" by NF). And the black balloons and the joker smile and also his Don't Look Down video was using similar imagery to NF's "Clouds". I think it's obvious Tom admires NF.

You follow NF.... I'm in. He's Real. His music is called NFREALMUSIC. HIS music tells his story of how he overcomes deep trauma and scarring and temptation and struggles and insecurity and anger and OCD any works it through until he becomes the more confident young man you saw in the search. By the time you get to his final project that he just finished clouds the mixtape you see another NF. So the NF at the beginning is Young and fragile and honest. BNF in clouds is stronger more confident still honest but ready to take on the world. That's why people call it a journey because he invites you to watch him face his demons with truth. He is incredibly invented his beats are always amazing

Awesome reaction, NF is the truth! Just so you know as well, if you watch your video with headphones you can hear the audio crackling and popping. Definitely react to more NF though, hopefully you decide to take the "NF Journey."
It's not the audio overall - it's the screen-recorded audio of the NF track - for some reason it clipped in the recording (despite only having the playback volume at 60%) and there's no way to fix that in post-production short of re-doing the whole video, which I can't do because then it won't be an actual reaction. Thanks.

Already can't wait for more! NF has very loving and devoted fans, some who think his music should be listened/reacted to in his "journey" order. There is definitely a storyline in his music, where things get tied together in a very beautiful way, and some bars might make more sense with the full story, but it's not necessary to do if you'd rather pick songs on your own. Either way, its always really special to watch someone else get to experience his music for the first time :) instant sub from me!

Not sure of any official explanation on the balloons related to Tom MacDonald but I am a fan of both him and NF. Could be paying homage to NF or relating to the symbolism. 🤷♂️

Here come all the take the journey comments, my personal opinion here, which is unpopular but you don't need to do it. There are a handful of songs from the past that really tie into who NF is but the whole journey isn't necessary. Not that it's a bad thing but if you listen to mansion and therapy session next then you can jump around to whatever you want.
I like your style lol. I understand everyone's push to "take the journey" but I'm a grown man with 4 TH-cam channels and stuff to do - I can't really sit around and digest NF's entire body of work.
You should listen to Ethan Bortnick again, specifically “arsonists”. Your issues with it last time are fixed in arsonists. And also “happy f***ing birthday”. You should listen to them.
