I was about to cry when you said you want Julie to remember you through the foods you made her, Gabie. My mom passed away years ago, and I still can remember the taste of her cooking, and how I love to have that memories with her. I think that is what keeps me alive. I crave it to death but all I can remember along with the taste is my mother's love and gesture. I'm so grateful for the foods my mom made me and believe me Julie will feel the same way with me when she grows up. I believe that Julie will grow up amazing and full of love just like her parents. and of course, you're such a lovely and cool mom. It's amazing to see this side of you Gabie
That resonated with me too! Although I feel this way about my grandma’s cooking, not my mom. My grandma is still with us, but she cooked so much for us when we were little, I try to pour the same amount of love into my cooking. My kids prefer my food over restaurant food many times, so I know they will have fond memories of my cooking.
